The Gray Autumn's

The Gray Autumn's
Liber le Coeur

"I realized that we were getting older. It feels too ridiculous to be in the confines of the past. After all, neither I nor your mother .. we have forgotten each other," Moedya said. "Time passes by so quickly. My first son was twenty years old. There's nothing more I want right now than to enjoy the rest of my life," Moedya sighed then flung her down slowly.

"Why don't you try to greet my father first? Who knows if he'll get back at you well" Autumn suggested.

"Is that so? Do you think that's a good idea?" Moedya again sounded doubtful.

"Come on," Autumn let out a crisp laugh, "i dare not suggest anything else that might seem to bother you, Uncle. You must know better what to do. Why am I talking like this to you? Because I think you .. My father was a very good man, Uncle. He has a high commitment in his life. It sometimes amazes me, but not infrequently he looks like a dictator" Autumn said with a small smile.

"Your father was a great man, Elle. That's why your mother chose him" Moedya responded.

"Yes, you're right, Uncle," said the brunette. He looked at Moedya fixedly. On the man's hand was a tattoo bearing Ranum's name. "Is Ranum your wife's name?" tanya Autumn spoke again after a moment of silence.

"No," Moedya replied, shaking her head slowly, "Ranum is my mother's name" he continued. "You know what, Elle? My mother loved Arumi. They established an incredible closeness," Moedya smiled bitterly.

"Oh, huh?"

Moedya nodded slowly again. "That's it, there's no need to talk about it anymore" Moedya looked uneasy. He repeatedly touched the base of his nose. "Then, what about you and Benjamin Royce? Do you love her so much?" the father of Patra shifted the subject.

"Yes. It feels new to me, when I feel something very different. Ben is so mature and so soft. He is understanding and sometimes chatty. However, Ben often treats me like a child. He used to say that I was adorable. He ... he ...." Autumn smelled her smile while bowing. Never expected if he would feel so great love for the father of one child.

"You're really in love" Moedya responded. "It feels pretty amazing, doesn't it?" Autumn nodded innocently. "Preserve that feeling. Falling in love is beautiful, but sometimes it feels so bleak. One thing to always remember, if you feel that he is your soul mate, then never waste it or you will feel regret. Do not let you have the same fate as me," said Moedya in a tone full of regret.

"It used to be possible that I was too selfish and put myself only as the most hurt party. I forget that no relationship is perfect.

Every couple has their own mistakes. Something very fatal when I ignored it," Moedya bowed lethargicly. A long sigh accompanied the tone of regret he revealed to Autumn.

"Remember one thing, son. Don't focus too much on your partner's mistakes and shortcomings. No matter how big of a mistake you have, talk about it and resolve it carefully, because everyone deserves a second chance. Don't act like I'm being too arrogant, denying all the kindness of the person I love just because of one mistake he made" Moedya fell silent. He did not continue his words, when he heard the familiar voice. The man looked towards the source of the voice.

Arumi had been standing in the doorway towards the veranda. He glanced at Autumn. "Elle, come in" he said with a flat, slow intonation.

Without much rebutting, Autumn immediately stood up. He glanced at Moedya for a moment, then stepped near the mother. Autumn looked at Arumi for a moment. Not a word came out of his lips. The girl stepped towards the stairs and stood there. Arumi looked awkward as well. For a moment, his gaze clashed with the glare of the eyes he had not seen for so long. Moedya's gaze was still the same as before. But now there is a huge burden in it.

"Can we talk for a second, Arum?" pinta Moedya with great hope.

"Speak about what?" tanya Arumi kept her distance from the ex-lover a few decades ago.

Before answering Arumi's question, Moedya chose to approach. However, Arumi immediately moved back until there was still a distance between himself and the man. "As long as you are here, then give me a chance to say something that has always been a burden and a burden in my heart" said Moedya quite softly. However, Arumi did not respond to his words. He just stood there.

"Arum, allow me to apologize to you," Moedya said in earnest.

"Sorry for what, Moe ... Moedya," Arumi looked rather nervous at that moment. After a long time, this was the first time he had returned to speaking four eyes with the son of Ranum.

"I'm sorry for all the mistakes I've done to you. I realized that I had made a huge mistake by letting you go ...."

"No, Moedya! Please, don't bring it up. We're not young anymore. Please don't make something ...."

"No, Arum. That's not what I mean" Moedya argued. "I have accepted my stupidity and all the wrongs I have done. I am willing to live my life with Diana, because she is the one I have chosen. But I also still owe you an apology. Every day, every month and every year I change, I always hope to meet you again to free me from all these odds" Moedya said. However, again Arumi was just glued to look at him. He was confused what to say.

"I'm sorry for upsetting you, hurting you, even angry at me. I know you hate me so much and probably don't want to see me anymore. However, from now on let us free each other from all the strands of the past. I wouldn't feel at ease if I hadn't heard an apology directly from you," Moedya's eyes implied a deep regret.

"There's nothing to forgive from you. Anyway, I've forgotten everything. Everything between us, I buried and I threw away from ever since I received love from Edgar" Arumi replied softly. But the pain still came and greeted him. The pain of those poignant memories re-emerged in the corner of the heart. There was another sound in Arumi's ears, every lament as she called out the name of Moedya who had left and did not turn her head in the slightest.

How much Arumi felt so broken. Every tear from his solitude of three years, turns out to be the sweet fruitless of the man he had hoped to come back to bring him into a loving life. It was precisely Edgar who continued to provide support, even though Arumi always refused.

Without feeling, tears trickled down the corner of Arumi's lips. As hard as he got rid of the bad memories decades ago, it turns out he still has to admit defeat. Arumi was bowed while holding back her crying so as not to break. However, it did not last long, when Moedya thrust a blue sapphire ring at him. However, Arumi did not immediately receive the ring. He just sobbed slowly.

"This is the message of my late mother before she died. I didn't give the ring to Diana, because my mother gave it to you. Therefore, please accept and keep it well. That way, everything that has been my burden all this time has been released. Please take it and accept it, Arum," Moedya left her speech in the hope that Arumi would accept Ranum's ring.

"Thank you, Arum" said Edgar, who had been there and listened to everything.
