That afternoon, Edgar was seen meeting a man in a cafeteria. The man handed her a brown envelope. "This. As you requested, Mr. Hillaire," the gondrong-haired man said to Edgar, who immediately responded with a slow nod.
"Thank you, Lucas. You can always count on me" replied Edgar. There was a proud smile on the corner of her lips. "I'll check it out later after arriving home" the man said again, wearing a black coat and standing up.
"You're going home now? I thought, we'll have coffee together first" the man named Lucas protested warmly.
"I still have other business. Finish coffee. Take it easy, for I have already paid for it," finished saying so, Edgar then moved out of the cafeteria. He walked gallantly towards where his vehicle was parked across the street. However, Edgar accidentally collides with a young man. "Oh, sorry," he said without looking. He rushed towards the car and intended to open the door.
However, Edgar had not been able to get into the car, heard the man calling. "Mr Hillaire? How are you?" Edgar broke his intentions and turned his head. He looked at the young man who was stepping towards him and standing near the car. The young man smiled. "You always look fit, sir," he said again.
"Sorry, have we met before?" Edgar asked while linking his eyebrows. He hesitated at the man standing in front of him.
"Meeting in person is never, but I know who you are" replied the friendly-looking young man. A moment later, he reached out and invited Edgar to shake hands. "My name is Leonardo Orville. You definitely don't know who I am. Elle couldn't have told her about me to her father" said the young man who was none other than Leon.
"Leonardo Orville? Sorry, I never heard that name" Edgar said. He again grabbed the door handle and intended to open it. However, again what he would do again the man paled, after he heard Leon's words.
"I'm Autumn's lover, your daughter," Leon explained calmly, making Edgar immediately turn to her. He stared intently at Leon as if he were investigating the young man. A moment later, Edgar revealed a faint smile full of doubt. "Love my daughter?" he muttered as he scrunched his forehead and accompanied by a slow ring. He can't trust strangers.
"Originally you know, Sir. Me and Autumn or Elle .. have been in a relationship for over a year. At first our love story was very sweet and went normally. However, lately our romance has both become tenuous. Elle was always avoiding me" Leon said, while Edgar was just a beard when he heard it. "Then?" asked the gray-eyed middle-aged man.
"I just want some clarity from your daughter about the continuation of our relationship. Anyway, I'm not leaving until he makes a decision. However, unfortunately, Elle was already acting like a cheap girl. He was close to three men at once at the same time," Leon said again with his leisure.
However, Leon's calm demeanor soon dissipated when Edgar quickly grabbed the collar of his jacket. Leon's disrespectful speech has sparked emotions in Edgar who is indeed being hit by many thoughts. The gray-eyed man clutched Leon's jacket collar tightly. "How dare you talk like that about my daughter!" edgar said with great emphasis. He looks so emotional. Edgar did not care, even though he was the center of attention of people who passed around the streets.
"Hey, sir calm down," Leon pushed Edgar's body slowly. He kept the man away and gave him a little distance. "You're a gentleman. It's not appropriate if a guy like you makes fun in a public place. After all, what I said was indeed a reality. I saw Elle with two different men, besides myself of course. You know, even one of them has had a child. It could be if the man is also still married," Leon said again with full confidence. He said silently and full of scorn.
While on the way, Edgar kept thinking about Leon's words. He was sure that one of the men Leon was referring to must be Benjamin. An unhinged mood caused Edgar to cancel another show. He chose to go straight home.
"I thought you'd ...."
"We'll talk later, Arum," Edgar continued to walk towards his study without looking at Arumi who seemed confused at the husband's attitude. However, Arumi preferred not to talk much.
Upon his arrival in the study, Edgar immediately sat on his chair of greatness. He immediately opened an envelope containing sheets of paper that were immediately examined. A moment later, Edgar was seen squeezing the papers. "Bad!" snarl. He scooped his face violently. After that, Edgar decided to get out of the study and walk towards the room.
Arumi who just came out of the bathroom. She immediately greeted her husband with a friendly smile. "What's up, Ed?" her tanya gently kissed the man.
"Tell me, Arum!" Edgar kept Arumi's pretty face away from her. "Have you ever known that Benjamin Royce had a child?" inquiringly.
Arumi did not answer immediately. He stared at Edgar for a moment. A moment later, the bloody Indonesian woman nodded slowly. "Yes, Ed. I already knew that. Exactly a few days ago," replied Arumi.
Edgar snorted angrily while releasing his hand from the wife's arm. He turned his back to the woman. "All of you have fooled me!" growled slowly.
"No one intends to fool you, dear," Arumi argued. "It's just about the right time and not to bring it up. Be calm and think carefully. You have to make a decision to apply from Mr. Royce," Arumi advised, but kept trying to be calm.
"I think you must have known my answer!" edgar firmly with his back to Arumi.
"Are you sure, Ed? You're not gonna consider it anymore?" persuade Arumi.
"I won't give a daughter I've taken good care of, to a man more deserving of being her uncle! Moreover, that man already had a child!" edgar broke up very firmly.
