The car carrying Edgar, stopped in front of an old building similar to an abandoned inn. The three men went down first, and one of them opened the door for Edgar. "Follow us, sir," he asked.
Because their attitude was not rude, Edgar also complied. He walked behind the man. Two more people flank him from the left and right. They entered the building until they arrived at a large room. The contents of the building are not as bad as the outside appearance. Inside, it was pretty clean.
"What did you bring me here for?" edgar's question was still filled with great curiosity. However, his question was immediately answered, as he heard the welcoming voice of a man. Edgar looked at the young man who had appeared from another room. Instantly, the gray-eyed man scrunched his forehead. It was like he had met that young man.
"How are you, Mr Hillaire? Do you still remember me?" asked the young man standing with his attitude that looked haughty in front of Edgar.
Edgar himself knitted his eyebrows. He seemed to be recalling the young figure. "Leonardo Orville" said the gray-eyed man, who was immediately greeted by applause from the young man.
"Your thought is very kind, Sir. However, there are still some things that you ignore," Leon said as he walked closer. He then stood before Edgar who was slightly taller than him.
"What do you mean, Young Man? We don't have any problems. If my daughter ignores you, then it has nothing to do with me" Edgar replied still looking calm.
The man who was none other than Leon, chuckled. He scratched his forehead for a moment, then turned his attention to the three men earlier. "You go. I'll send you the rest of the pay later from here" Leon said.
"Don't let go! If you don't keep your word, then feel the consequences!" threaten one of them who seems to be the chairman of his friends.
"Just calm. I will keep my word. Now you go first, for I must settle personal affairs with this great master" Leon said, gesturing with his hand. The three men also complied. They passed from the room, leaving Edgar alone with Leon.
"So, what do you want?" edgar's tone sounded slow but full of emphasis. The tail of his eyes continued to follow the movements of Leon who stepped back and forth calmly in front of him. A moment later, Leon was stunned and turned his head. However, before long his gaze looked to the sekelilling room where they were. "Again I ask, what do you want?" edgar's tone sounded increasingly firm and still full of emphasis.
"Wow, you are amazing. It is fitting that the name Edgar Hillaire could flutter among the ranks of the great French businessmen. However, how much care do you have for the people who have been in your life, sir?"
Edgar increasingly does not understand the meaning of Leon actually. He tried to digest, but his mind remained unable to reach the goal of the young man. "Why do you have to beat around the bush? To be honest, I don't have much time at the moment. I also didn't like it when the three men said that their men were watching my house" Edgar said. His patience was almost exhausted in facing Leon who seemed to invite him to play around.
"You take it easy, Mr. Hillaire. They won't do anything to harm Hilaire's mistress or your beautiful daughter" Leon said, laughing softly. "It feels really silly because I have to fall in love with your daughter. She is beautiful. Yeah, very pretty. Just like Miss Hilaire was when she was young."
"What do you mean?" edgar's countenance grew serious when he heard Leon say so. "How do you know how beautiful my wife was in her youth?" search Edgar while clenching both hands near the thigh.
Leon didn't answer that question. He slipped into the jacket he was wearing. A moment later, the young man threw a few photos before Edgar's face, so he had to turn his face to the side. However, shortly afterwards Edgar looked down and noticed some photos with Arumi's face. The condition of the photos is no longer good, but the beautiful face of Arumi at a young age can still be seen clearly.
"Who are you really?" edgar asked withstanding the mounting emotions. His face became more tense at that moment.
"Calm down, sir. Don't get carried away by emotions. I brought you here to speak carefully," Leon said, staring intently at Edgar.
"Once again, tell me who you are!" edgar's jolt did not touch Leon's words asking him to stay calm.
"What's the deal with me then? Your father deserves punishment for all his crimes!" edgar firmly with a sharp highlight to Leon. "Again, I never knew that Benjamin already had a child."
"Yes. My father divorced my mother when I was a child. My mother and I lived in Mexico, while my father chose to return to France to run his restaurant business. However, all of my father's business was destroyed when he had to stay in prison. My aunt Mirella was also limited in her movements, because she was a city prisoner at the time" Leon said flatly.
"They both deserve it!" grunts Edgar.
"Yes, but you don't know what my father's life will be like. Some time later, my father suffered from a chronic illness that he brought from prison. Not only that, his body condition is getting weaker because he also suffers from complications. Dad forced himself to go to Mexico and go back to my mother because no one took care of him in France" Leon said.
"Where's his beloved sister going?" ask Edgar cynically.
"Aunt Mirella went abroad after her prison term ran out. She was taken by her husband to Italy. So, he couldn't take care of my father either," Leon clearly still stared fixedly at Edgar.
"What does this have to do with me? I don't want to deal with those swindlers anymore!"
Leon was glued to where he stood. He was still staring fixedly at Edgar more and more softly. "My father is dying right now. He's in a coma. Various methods of treatment have been used. My mom even sold our house for medical expenses" Leon said.
"Then what do you want from me? You want me to cover all your father's medical expenses?"
"It's not necessary if you're not interested. I just want to ask you for a little help, sir," Leon said quietly. However, Edgar did not immediately answer, especially because at that time his phone rang. A call came in from Arumi. "Jawab just call it, and tell me you're okay" Leon said.
"I know what to tell my wife!" edgar ketus sahut. "Arum," Edgar's tone instantly changed as he spoke to Arumi.
"Where are you, Ed? I'm waiting for you to have lunch together" Arumi's voice sounded worried.
"Eat first. Suddenly I had a sudden business" replied Edgar who did not want to make his wife become more anxious.
"Oh, okay. I hope you're back by dinner tonight" Arumi replied softly.
"I'll try, honey. Eat first" said Edgar again. He then ended the conversation and put the phone back in the pocket of the blazer. The middle-aged man's attention returned to Leon who was still standing without taking his eyes off him. "Tell me what you want from me, so I can go home soon."
Leon breathed slowly. "I want you to help me with my father's transfer from Mexico to France, so I can take care of him here" Leon replied.
"That's all?"
"Bring your wife to see him."
