"If Elle wasn't in Paris, then where is she now?" ask Fleur again expectantly. However, Edgar only responded with a smile. The man nodded slowly. "Come, Master. Please tell me where Elle is," urged the gray-eyed girl while putting on an adorable look. The child side of Fleur was clearly visible back then, so plain and pure as well.
"Benjamin Royce is very clever. Who would dare to refuse the request of a little girl like you. But unfortunately I wouldn't tell anyone without Elle's permission" Edgar said, subtly rejecting Fleur's request. "Why don't you just go back, Little Miss? After all, aren't you supposed to go see a therapist today?"
"Healing means nothing more than my papa's smile. All this time she's been taking care of me and doing things for me, but .. but I ...." Fleur bowed regretting that he had behaved badly.
"I've never seen papa so sad and messed up. However, lately she had not even combed her hair neatly. Although my papa still looks handsome, but I don't like it if he doesn't smile. I'm sorry I made it that way" Fleur said. Although he was only ten years old, but the style of speech of the child did sound different.
"So?" Edgar knitted his brows. "Are you sure your papa became like that because of my daughter?" ask Edgar full of questions.
Fleur was silent for a moment. He then glanced at Aamber. "I think .. yes. Papa always praises Elle in front of me. He must have liked her a lot" the gray-eyed girl explained.
"Oh, so. All right," said Edgar while rubbing his chin. "However, unfortunately I still won't tell you where Elle is. He will return to France if he is completely calm" explained the charismatic man.
"Why are you so bad?" fleur protest disappointed.
"Hey, Little Miss. I love Elle. She's my only daughter. Either you'll understand what I'm saying or you won't, but it's okay. You can still listen to me well" Edgar later said. He paused for a moment, after which he again said, "Like Benjamin Royce who always defended and protected you, so did I against Elle. A while ago, he didn't look okay. Therefore, when Elle said that he wanted to take a vacation and calm down, then I did not mind," explained Edgar again still looks calm.
"Then, what do I have to do to make my dad smile again?" fleur asked half a mutter.
"There's nothing more appropriate for you to do, than to be sweet" Edgar said along with Arumi's appearance there. He was carrying a small container made of quality plastic. Arumi sat down next to Edgar. "Is your conversation over or still going on?" tanyakanya.
"I think it's done" replied Edgar. He moved from his seat. "I'll excuse you first, as there's still a lot of business to deal with," he nodded to Aamber as a farewell sign. Before he passed, Edgar smiled at Fleur, then touched Arumi's cheek. Body language that does not escape the attention of an Aamber. At the very least, he could judge what kind of family Autumn had.
"As I offered you earlier, this is Eclair for you," Arumi thrust the plastic container she was holding onto Fleur. However, the little girl seemed hesitant to accept it. "Get it, baby," said Arumi again. "This is my own cake. While still living in Indonesia, I once ran a pastry shop owned by my late mother for some time. We make cakes by hand. That habit still carries over until now. Unfortunately, Elle is not very interested in cakes, although I often invite her to be creative together in the kitchen," said Arumi.
Fleur turned to him for a moment. He turned his eyes to Arumi. "Thank you, ma'am," said the little girl slowly. He had not had time to say anything else, heard the sound of ringing Aamber's cell phone. It was a call from Benjamin. Aamber then showed Fleur the screen of his phone. However, he did not immediately answer the call. "Looks like your dad's looking for us, Fleur. It's time for us to say goodbye" said the middle-aged woman. "I'll have the driver pick you up on the porch. The stairs of your house are very much, Mrs Hillaire," said Aamber again while turning her eyes to Arumi who was just smiling at the time.
"Are you also not going to tell me where Elle is, Madam?" ask Fleur a moment later.
"I'm sorry, honey. Elle doesn't want to be disturbed. He just needs time for a little relaxation" said Arum softly.
"Then what should I do to make my dad look happy again?" regret Fleur.
"By just coming here, it's already something extraordinary. You've done something that means a lot to your father. The rest, let him finish," said Arumi softly.
"We'd better get home, Fleur. Your father sent me a message. His mood is not good. So don't let us make him feel more fucked up" Aamber suggested. He grabbed the bag that he immediately hung on his shoulders. A moment later, the woman stood up followed by Arumi.
"Frequently visit here, Fleur. I'll give you a free course on how to make a cake" Arumi said again after they were at the door. In the courtyard, a driver was already waiting to help Fleur.
The gray-eyed little girl glanced for a moment at Aamber. After that, he smiled at Arumi. "Thank you, Madam. I'm sorry I've behaved badly" he said regretfully.
"Alright, Honey. Don't think too much. May you recover soon and return to normal walking" Arumi replied as she gently stroked Fleur's head.
A moment later, the driver climbed onto the terrace and carried Fleur into the car. Aamber brought her wheelchair. Before entering the waiting vehicle, Aamber returned to Arumi. "Thank you, Mrs Hillaire. You and Mr. Hillaire are very friendly. I was really impressed and no longer had any doubts about Elle. Benjamin did not choose wrongly, only Fleur and I were too afraid. I loved Fleur too much, because he was the message of Samantha, "Aamber's old pair of eyes began to glaze over as he spoke to Arumi. The remorse rippled within him.
"It's okay, Mrs Morris. Elle will be back soon. However, don't say anything to Fleur or Mr. Royce. Let Elle decide everything," Arumi replied softly.
