Special Journey

Special Journey
Episode 33

Rington sholawat sounds so melodious as a reminder of my phone. He has warned several times.

I grabbed. Ahh, it's 03:00 p.m. I pray while closing my eyes. It's time for my evening routine.

Excitedly, step up to wudu'. The cold water opened my eyes widened. Makes my sleepiness completely disappear. Then the evening prayer.

This is the time I always wait for.

Best time for me to tell all my complaints.

"God is the owner of the heart. Please keep this heart from loving someone who is not good to You. You know the vibration of my heart when you are with Joseph. If he is the best to be present in my life and Kia, please allow us to be together in a sacred bond. Give faith in my heart to receive the blessing of Joseph. I am just a weak servant. Often doing wrong and misguided. Forgive this sinful me, O God. And thank you for all your favors."

For the first time I mentioned someone in my prayer. After a long time ago the name of Haikal which I always called in my prayers.

Right now I'm asking Joseph for my third night.

After the prayer I returned to recite the holy Quran. I took the medium-sized Quran from my closet shelf. Among the books lined up.

The verses I recite are quite melodious to me. My heart really feels better. Calm.

I glanced at the clock Joseph gave me. Long wait for dawn.

My throat feels dry.

I walked up the stairs to the kitchen. The lights are dim, but I can still see the left-right side of the house.

"Astagfirulah... " I rubbed my chest. Astounded. My body almost hit Joseph who had just turned in front of the refrigerator.

"Sorry Suf, I don't see me" As soon as Joseph was ordinary, not surprised by my arrival, "what are you Suf?" Joseph was confused looking for something.

"Finding jam, usually so much jam in the fridge." Joseph opened the refrigerator which he had closed.

"Ohh," I stepped towards the side cabinet of the refrigerator. "this is..." I gave the jam I just picked up.

"Thank you." Joseph took the jam I put on the table, in front of Joseph. "Have you finished teaching?" ask Yusuf. Stay without looking at me.

"Here I help." I offered to see Joseph having trouble opening the lid besides him.

"Thank you." Yusuf glanced at me.

"Hm." Answer's short. He left Joseph to drink water. I did not say much, I occasionally glanced at Yusuf who was wearing a blue sarong combined with a black shirt that stuck perfectly on his body.

"Why look for dinner like this?" I, who was behind Joseph, freely looked at his back who was enjoying his food.

"Because of hunger." He's still chewing his food.

Silent. Joseph enjoyed his meal and I was busy with my business. Sometimes we are like strangers. Without talking.

Near Joseph made my heart beat irregular again. His cold attitude was able to make my chest rise and fall quickly.

"There's still something I can help you with." Ask me before I leave Joseph.

"No." The answer.

I also left Joseph.

I set my breath. Sometimes I blow.

***

Mentari covered in cloudy.

Misting welcomes the morning. Mentari does not lose. Slowly, but surely began to appear in the East.

I slowly opened the window, feeling the chest.

I let the wind sweep my face. Feels cold. But I can give hope for today.

Night shift. The brightness disappears, so does the rambutan rays. Morning greet to begin his task.

I enjoy this silence. Looks like Kia's downstairs.

When my monthly runititas was present, I would occasionally deliberately laze around. Like this morning.

"Assynoltom... Is he awake?" I heard Mother's voice behind the door. Which disturbs my daydream. It soon passed, smiling. My sunyiku will be over soon.

"Waalaikumussalam mama." I see the mother is still with her house negligee, long dangling. Perfectly covered his entire body.

"Breakfast is ready." Mother walked beside me to the dining room below.

"Fariz and Nisa so go home today Bun?" my eyes focused on the stairs.

"Because Joseph has come home. The return schedule is 3 days away." Clearly Mother.

"Ohhh, they must be very happy, Bun." There was a slight sense of sadness in remembering my marriage destiny.

"You can also be happy happy Fah, learn to open yourself up. Who knows if you'll find the best mate." I smiled at my mother's advice.

"God willing to take a bun." I smile. I want to tell you that this self has been worshiped, but I just don't know the answer to my heart. How can I tell Mother. Even if I told you, my mother would immediately accept Joseph.

"Assynoltom..." Sapaku to every table dweller. Of course they all answered my greetings.

"Honey Mom's gone downstairs apparently. Ninggalin' Mom's alone." I kissed Kia's head.

"So Kia went down with Om Yusuf, I'm still sleeping." I looked at Joseph, waiting for an explanation from Joseph. Can't he go into the depths of my room?

"Don't su'uzon...! I met Kia in front of my room, so we went down together." He said without seeing me. But Mother and Father's eyes were on me. I immediately turned my attention away from Joseph.

Seeing Joseph's cold and indifferent attitude, I doubted Joseph's feelings, what else from that night, Joseph never asked me again.

"Tumben did you sleep early Fah?" Ask Dad who has the plate to fill with rice and his friends by Mother.

"Most He's coming in the month Well, have you taken your medicine? Don't faint again!" Mother replied without my consent and I could only smile in embarrassment. "Not Bun, Afiifah buy first." I ate my food with a look down.I saw Joseph glance at me.

Mommy could talk like that in front of Joseph. I am really ashamed.

"Where is Joseph going today?" Ask Dad, filling his mouth with food.

"You go to the office for a second Well, then the campus." Joseph smiled gently at Father.

"Squeaky... I hardly ever smile." I monologue in my heart with my lips forward.

"Let Afiifah be delivered later, Afiifah can be?" I'm waiting for my approval. My kunyahan stopped for a moment.

"Kc... I could ask you to." I went back to monologuing in my heart.

"Afiifa! Whisper son?" This time I looked up to see Dad's sharp stages.

"Bi-can be Well." Yes already. Whatever my reasons, Dad's gonna keep forcing me to be Yusuf's driver all day.

"Don't forget that Joseph will be picked up again." This time I was quite surprised. Cook me back and forth, pick Yusuf up anyway!

"Ba-good Yeah." Again, I can only support.

"Nothing Well, Yusuf can take a taxi, kasian Afiifah later. " Whether he's just a small talk or he doesn't want to bother me! Or else he doesn't like me to be with. Only He and God know.

"Yes, son of Joseph. Well, someone take care of Joseph too." Mother tricked Father's orders.

"Really I don't papa Bun, Dad. I should have taken care of Afiifah. Not the other way around." Hearing Joseph's words, Dad just smiled. So too with Mother.

They were glancing towards me. What are they really thinking? Could have allowed her daughter to go with one that wasn't my mahrom.

"Yes, continue eating." Mother breaks the awkwardness.

"Can he come?" Kia who had just been silent began to speak, "Will she come along, Om?" Kia holds the fringe of Joseph's t-shirt.

"To this day, Kia's at home, son, Om Yusuf, she's just a little away. Later Om Yusuf will also come back here again!" Mother tried to persuade Kia not to come. "Well, isn't it Om?" Mother asked Joseph, after Kia fell silent.

"L-yes... Yusuf will be here again." I smiled a little at Joseph's nervous behavior. Mother's question seemed to trap Joseph. If you want to not want to yes, Joseph must come back here again.

The drama at the dinner table is over. I've been with all my preparations. With a black robe equipped with a veil that extends long to the thighs. Don't forget my favorite violet bagmini as a complement to my appearance.

Yusuf looks more relaxed with his ash-collared shirt, combined with black pants. Not like teaching. He even seems to want to date.

Joseph and I said goodbye. Thank goodness Kia did not need a strange persuasion to be left behind.

"Where were we going?" I opened the conversation after my black car left the yard.

"The office first." Yusuf looked at the phone screen seriously.

The car I drove also drove to Wink Cafe & Resto which we now manage together.

Silent. Again only the melodious chanting of the recitation of the Quran is heard. Enough to calm me down.

"Aren't you buying medicine?" Joseph asked after we passed by a pharmacy.

"Later on." Answer's short. Actually I'm just not comfortable talking about women with Joseph.

"Don't you pray last night and teach?" I know the direction of Joseph's question.

"Where do you know?" My toot. Without answering the question.

"I overheard. Can't I get you in the room?" Hearing Yusuf's words, I don't know why I smiled?

After arriving in front of the office basement. "Comedown. And get all your report files inside!" Yusuf glanced at me.

"Joseph did not enter?" I was confused by the attitude of Joseph who was still comfortable sitting in his chair.

"Son, you're the one who's in, for a few days I'd like to take a break at home, get all your report files, let me check in!" Without the ba-bi-bu, I immediately passed into my study. I smile every now and then to answer the employee's greeting.

I checked the report I was about to bring, after I thought it was quite complete, I immediately returned to the car.

I submitted the report immediately to Joseph. Joseph began to open the pages of his report. There was no protest. That means the report has been read perfectly.

Maybe this is what Joseph was like at work. Serious and focused.

"Let's stay in the car don't have to get out when we get to college!" Yusuf spoke with his gaze still focused on his report.

I just kept quiet. Why did Joseph keep me out?

"And... You wait for me to go home. No need to go back to the office." This time Joseph closed his report. The building we want to visit is clearly visible.

"So I have to wait for you in the car?" My toot. It sounds more like a protest.

"I'm only one hour." Joseph began to remove the seatbelt from his body.

"But why? I could die from boredom Suf." I snort in annoyance. Who else is he banning me.

"As far as you are." Joseph got out of the car. And I went out regardless of Joseph's prohibition.

"Bapak Cieeee, you have dared to bring the couple to the campus! It's been a big time, sir." Gee whiz... How surprised I was to hear the temptations of those students. There are 4 students in front of me. Beautiful and fahsionable.

I looked at Joseph as if asking for an explanation. We accidentally looked at.

"Assalamualaikum ma'am, great." One of the students greeted me and gave me a thumbs up.

I just fell silent. So did Yusuf. He seems to not care.

"I'm going in first! You don't go anywhere. Coed here on prank." Joseph approached me, leaned slightly on me and spoke softly. My reply was just a smile. I still don't understand what's going on.

"Cieeee Father! Haha." They laugh.

"Know dong sir!" A brown-clad female chimney with a backpack on her back.

"Do you want me to give you E?" Joseph looked at the boy who was talking.

"Oh God the Father! Don't be cruel, your boyfriend will run away. Can the Widow know the taste of the Father." Connect one of them.

"Aamiin's." Joseph was amusing while tidying up his clothes.

"Ha! Mr serious? Oh Allah... Cook You must be the widow of the new Vin dulh can deletin Mr. Joseph! Haha." Again they laughed, but one student on the other end of Yusuf only smiled when he was touched by his friend with his elbow. The boy is beautiful, white and looks more calm than his friends.

"Yes, I'll marry the Widow later, it's better than the same you guys who are unstable." Joseph stamped his fingers on his disciple's forehead.

"Ahh, extinct is your hope Vina!" The vina they called out was simply deceived in shame.

"Kanalin Ma'am, we're students, you've almost been in a lifetime." The boy next to me extended a hand.

"I am Afiifa, Yusuf's friend." I welcome his hand.

"I'm going in first." Joseph and the four students soon left me.

"This is my help sir!" One of them offered to help Joseph with his laptop. Without refusing Joseph gave the laptop to her.

For a moment I looked at Joseph who was getting away. I did not like to see Joseph with them. Am I jealous? Astagfirullah...

I was once a student. I also once admired my teacher. If indeed the child they called Vina had a taste for Joseph, there was a sense of unwillingness.

Astagfirullah... What is this feeling?

I immediately threw away all prejudices from my heart.

Back in the depth of the car, while listening to tausiah from youtube.

Tin...

"Don't take heart from my students, they are ignorant." I read whatshap from Joseph.

"As they call Vina really has a taste for you! Why not try? She's still a girl, pretty again." I sent a reply to Joseph.

"You really want me to be with Vina?" Replies from Joseph.

My heart trembled reading Joseph's reply. Whatisthis? Does he have a taste for that student?

"Why did you ask me to be your companion? Whatever... You can choose who you spend your life with." I replied to Joseph's message again. Oh allah... Astagfirullah.

"You jealous?" yusuf's reply to emo Wink. Ahh never mind, I ignore Joseph.

Until finally it did not feel like an hour ended, Joseph and I left the campus to return home.
