“Why are you silent? Is it that hard to say? You―”

“I don't love you! Even if you're the only man on earth, I won't choose you.” Hyunjin's tears dripped along with it. He stood up, grabbed his bag on the table, then walked away from Kyuhyun.

If it wasn't him, would there be someone else for me?

Is that guy as good as him?

Can't you convince her that I can take care of her?

I would do anything to make him smile

Can you make him realize how much I need him?)

Perhaps fate can be changed. But does man know what the right choice is to change his fate? What if he makes the wrong decision? Regret is what will happen.

“Oh, jeez! What time is it?” Hyunjin squealed in shock as her eyes caught Jiyoo's watch which showed two o'clock in the afternoon. It's clearly beyond his lunch break. Her boss can say that she is late. The grumpy grizzled old man was most pleased that Hyunjin made the slightest mistake, so he had reason to scold her.

“Wire. Nawat!” hyunjin frantically tidied up her appearance. “Why not tell me it's like this?”

Jiyoo did not answer, she just shook her head and just kept quiet to see her best friend. It had been two years, but Hyunjin had remained unchanged; still forgetful and always careless. Jiyoo placed her novel on the grass, then while chuckling softly she stood up and helped Hyunjin tidy up her tangled clothes here and there. Almost two hours they sat under an apple tree in the garden, spending time together to let go of longing because now they began to rarely meet. They are busy with their respective jobs, especially Jiyoo is now preparing for her wedding.

“Alright, I'm first yes. Give my regards to Heechul!” Hyunjin smiled then passed by while waving her hand. Jiyoo waved back, until Hyunjin disappeared behind the crowd of passersby in the park.

Hyunjin clicked in annoyance when she found herself trapped behind the torrential rain. He could only stand rigidly under the roof of the terrace of his office building, rubbing his hands that were starting to freeze with cold. Though his mother had reminded him to bring an umbrella this morning, but he refused on the grounds that today would definitely be bright. He's not a weather forecaster, so his forecast could have missed, right?

With hesitation, the girl's feet finally moved a step. It's stupid to go home soaked. It doesn't matter if you get the flu. Sometimes not going to work, right? He was tired of seeing the look of his fierce boss. Oh, how happy it would be if just a few days did not see that wrinkled face.

But what if his salary was cut because he didn't go to work? The boss is stingy and very calculated, regardless of the rights and principles of its employees. Hyunjin's feet stopped stepping, but she had already walked ten meters from her office building. There is the thought of turning around and borrowing an umbrella from anyone, or hailing a taxi to pick him up. The second thought seems good too. But he should have done it from the beginning. Now almost his entire body has been soaked, surely any taxi will not want to transport it.

Suddenly Hyunjin no longer felt the water droplets hitting his body, like something was protecting above his head. The girl raised her head up and saw a yellow umbrella being the boundary between herself and the rain.

“Do not rain like a child. You can get sick, stupid.”

Hearing the sound, he turned back and found someone holding the handle of the umbrella that protected him. Hyunjin smiled thankfully at the angel who came to pick her up. He came at the right time, even though it was a little late.

“Why are you here, dr. Cho?”

Kyuhyun was fed up he could only fall silent as the girl slowly left his sight. This is not the first time this has happened. He had already too often let Hyunjin disappear from him. She should have been able to keep Hyunjin close, but she always let go of the girl.

Kyuhyun knew that it was not like this that Hyunjin wanted. The girl has trouble saying that she doesn't need Kyuhyun, and Kyuhyun knows very well what it means that―Hyunjin loves her, as much as her love for the girl. If this was really the last one, he did not want to repeat his stupidity again. And so, as the girl's figure began to disappear behind the wall, Kyuhyun tried to get up and chase after her. He's lost, now he can't experience it again.

“Please listen to me. Why don't you give me a chance?” Kyuhyun tightened his embrace. Hyunjin stopped rebelling. His shoulders were shaking violently because of his crying. But he was too afraid to turn around and look at Kyuhyun.

“I might still be able to live without you, but my life would be meaningless. I just want you to be my next step. Didn't you also say you wanted to be at the wedding altar with me?”

Body's gagging. He no longer had the strength to stand on earth. Collapsed were all the sturdy walls he created to dispel his feelings. Choi Hyunjin was devastated, the limit of selfishness was slowly beginning to fade. Kyuhyun tried too much to make Hyunjin unable to close her eyes to not see her sincerity. How much the young man loved him. Something she might never meet again in her life, aside from someone named Cho Kyuhyun.

He turned and hugged the young man. Drowning his face in Kyuhyun's chest, Hyunjin sobbed. “I'm sorry. I'm sorry.”

The night is so cold. Silent. All that was heard was the noise of the night beasts around them. The girl's sobs drowned in the young man's chest. Kyuhyun smiled and gently stroked the girl's hair. “Does this mean you won't leave me again?”

Hyunjin nodded many times. He was unable to make a sound because his throat was choked. Words don't matter now, the important thing is that Kyuhyun knows that he can't go away from her anymore. Now they will step together. No matter what happens, whatever gets in the way of― as long as they are together, everything is bound to go through.

For today, tomorrow, and so on, never run from me again. Stay by my side, with me.

“I told you, right, not to go anywhere before I come?” Kyuhyun looked at Hyunjin in annoyance. “Look! Your clothes are all wet, how about you get sick? You think health doesn't matter?” About the doctor, always talk so much about his health. Can't I just once that guy isn't chatty?

“I won't get sick, Doctor Sir. Anyway when did you say you were gonna pick me up?”

“Didn't you read my message?”

“Which order?” ask Hyunjin confused. He had absolutely no recollection of a message from Kyuhyun saying that Kyuhyun would pick him up. Hearing that Kyuhyun immediately glared wide. If possible, he'd love to throw this girl into the Amazon river. Though clearly Hyunjin already replied with ‘Ya’ half an hour ago earlier.

The girl tried to remember again. “Ah, that one.. Sorry, I completely forgot,” she grinned innocently, once again Kyuhyun tried to refrain from pinching the squash on her lover's cheek.

“Ya is already. Let's go!” Hyunjin held Kyuhyun's hand that did not hold an umbrella, so that now the girl could stand next to him. They stepped together, under the rain that was still falling profusely. “Can we stop by at the store near the post office for coffee? I was really cold,” he said again as he turned his head, asking for approval on the man next to him.

Kyuhyun shook his head firmly, “No. You have to get home quickly if you don't want to get sick.”

“But I'm cold.”

Without saying anything Kyuhyun immediately opened the brown coat he was wearing, then dressed it to Hyunjin. “Still cold?” ask Kyuhyun. Hyunjin nodded her head.

“Grab my hand, then you will not be cold anymore,” Kyuhyun smiled and tightened his hand on Hyunjin. They continue their steps together. Under the roof of an umbrella, take shelter from the rain that fell increasingly heavy.
