- Kyuhyun’s POV
My gaze was unceasingly fixed on the girl. His voice, his gestures, subconsciously made me keep smiling watching him. I don't know how long I haven't seen him like this. I think we just met yesterday, but it feels like a long time ago. I have to admit, I miss him.
When I met him yesterday, I was actually really happy. Of course, I can't lie to my own heart. Anyway I love him. But it's too difficult. I had to cover it up, I couldn't look happy to see it. I've even tried my hardest to forget it, to stay away from it. But what did he do? He came before me, giving me hope whether it was there or not. Said he showed up here to see me. Does that not make me soar? Does he have the same feelings as me? All of this keeps me wondering.
I regret ever telling her how I felt. If I had never done that, it would have been better. We're not gonna walk away from each other like this. Maybe I'll be able to act like normal to her.
Maybe for him, I'm just a shitty namja who usually just fucked it up. But wouldn't that be much better? Rather than like this, it tormented me tremendously. I prefer to keep my feelings in check, it will keep me comfortable around him, even though I admit it may be painful - let alone knowing he will get engaged. Tsk. it sucks.
I always wanted to laugh considering this, however this was too strange. The foreign girl who suddenly appeared in my life has now made my life so unsettled. Is she a witch?
“ehmm.”
I turned my head, and was quite surprised when I saw the girl was already standing not far from me. “what is it?” I asked cuek, pretending to be busy with a table that since then I have continued to lap –even though this table is very shiny.
“I see you're busy.” Hyunjin replied as she walked closer towards me.
“indeed. Then?” my hatch is cold, still doesn't care.
“you don't want to tell me to replace your job? Isn't that why I'm here?” ask again. This girl seems to be hoping for a moment. What's wrong with her? Why is he getting more diligent? did his head hit something before coming to this cafe? he has been working without me asking. And now, he's asking to be given extra work. Well, I guess his brain is indeed being disrupted.
“do you have a fever? Your forehead is hot.” I said while touching his forehead.
“what do you mean? I'm fine.” he brushed my hand off quickly.
“didn't you always mind if I told you to? then why are you working happily now?” I fold both my hands in front of my chest. Pretty bad with him too. How can I quickly forget him if he keeps appearing in front of me?
Hyunjin exhaled slowly, then looked at me irritatedly. “didn't you hear what I said earlier? I'm here now so I can meet you. Other than in this place, you will definitely always avoid me.”
“For that? what is it for?” this is what confuses me. Which is probably because he missed my nagging. Huh, is that right?
“stupid!” hiss sneered. I glared straight at him. “why can't you ever understand?”
“understand what?” my question is not to understand. I'm getting confused with him.
He breathed again, but this time it was heavier. He looked back at me sharply. “I can go crazy facing you, Cho Kyuhyun.”
“i'm even crazier to talk to you, if you speak clearly.”
“didn't you start this first? Are you amnesia?”
“ya! you two! Back to work!” manager Park's voice rang out in the middle of our debate. Want to not want me to turn directly behind him, back wipe the table –which was already very shiny-it was back.
“we finish later.” Say it and go straight to the kitchen. I didn't care much about his last words. What needs to be resolved? I don't think there's any problem between us.
___
It was late, and the cafe was closed. I walked over to check all corners of the cafe, making sure all the windows were properly locked. All right, this way I can go home soon. Other employees have gone home, only I live alone who is in charge of locking the door. And oh yeah, I forgot. The girl –Choi Hyunjin-is still standing faithfully waiting for me. I think he started back in his old habit, forcing me to accompany him waiting for the bus at the stop. But I'm sorry, I won't be swayed by his persuasion this time. Am I not avoiding it? I shouldn't have said anything to him this afternoon.
I walked out and passed him just like that after locking the door. As I thought, the girl followed me from behind.
“oppa!”
My steps stopped, who called me? Did Hyunjin? Ah, no way. since when did he call me with that call? I think I heard it wrong. Or maybe it's someone else calling someone else (?).
I walked back, trying not to turn back. I knew the girl was still behind me.
“Kyuhyun!”
All right, now I'm sure that call was meant for me. Was it really Hyunjin who called me? Could it be that he had deliberately called me that way for me to turn around? Huh, good effort. But I won't be fooled.
There's only Hyunjin –the only girl I know who's been there, there's no way anyone I don't know can call my name. Or was I just mishearing? But I'm sure my hearing wasn't wrong. I stared at him sharply, as if asking ‘what is it?’. But he just kept quiet and kept going straight.
“hey you!” I accused him of being upset. “you called me earlier? And oh, what kind of a name is that?”
He just shook his head in confusion, “what do I call you?” Why did he even ask back?
“you called me-“
“OPPA!”
We both looked in the direction of the road. Seen a girl was waving her hands towards us –maybe just in my direction - while running across the zebra cross. I was surprised when I saw him. Aish, why is he here?
“Yes! I've been calling you since. Why don't you turn around, oppa?”
“so you?” I looked at him surprised –as well as disappointed, apparently I mistakenly thought. I saw Hyunjin laughing. I think he's laughing at me. Good, imagine how embarrassed I am right now.
“what are you doing here?” my gaze turned to the girl, Yeoram.
“of course to meet you. What else do you want?” he immediately approached me, and, as usual, struggled spoiled in my arms. This makes me a little uncomfortable. There was Hyunjin in front of us.
Ah, you stupid Kyuhyun. What if there is a Hyunjin?
“ini is night. Are you here alone?” I asked Yeoram.
He shook his head and then pointed in the direction he had come. From here I could see a young man walking leisurely towards us. He's my adopted brother, Cho Jino.
“Hyung!” the sap so arrived in front of me. I just nodded back his greeting.
I looked at the two people in turn, “why can you two be here?”
“I told you I wanted to see you. But somehow he forced me to come.” Yeoram looked at Jino not like it.
“i can't possibly let a girl like you roam around in the middle of town at night like this.” Jino flicked her shoulders as she looked at Yeoram, making the girl hiss. I know their relationship hasn't been good since we were kids. The three of us have grown up together since childhood.
“I want to take oppa for a walk. I miss you so much.” Yeoram cried while looking expectantly at me. He knew I would definitely refuse, so he put on his aegyo face. Huh, he's like a kitten that his owner threw away. I can't bear to.
Jino suddenly approached Yeoram and pulled the girl's hand from me. “ alright, how about we have dinner together? I'll deal with.” His words that directly made Yeoram increasingly look dislike towards him.
Yeoram stomped Jino's hand violently, “this is already too late for dinner. Do you want to make me fat?”
“then we drink only.”
“I don't want to. I want to go alone with Kyu oppa. Go there you!”
“cannot. I brought you here, so you should also come home with me later.”
“ish, it's up to you.”
I just kept quiet to let these two boys fight. Are they not ashamed? It's on public roads, a lot of people see them. Basic boyish!
“oh, aren't you.?” Jino had suddenly approached Hyunjin. I forgot he was still here. I was surprised, did Jino know Hyunjin?
“kau-” Hyunjin looks like he is trying to remember. “-you granddaughter of grandmother who was hit at that time right?”
“true. And you're the girl who helped her?”
