Not Him

“Nona Hwang, come out! Someone wants to see you.” A female prosecutor approached her and guided the woman to a visiting place. The man she said wanted to see her was sitting there waiting for her. Hwang Miyoung is still in custody at the current prosecutor's office for further investigation.

“Mr Choi!” Miyoung was a little surprised to see the man. He felt embarrassed, did not dare to show his face in front of the man who had been his superior for the past year.

“How are you, Miss Hwang?”

Miyoung's voice choked, unable to answer. The man in front of him asked how he was doing? After what Miyoung had done, the former superior could still smile kindly like that? He really felt like a bad guy.

“Actually no. I feel really bad now, Mr. Kim.” With great difficulty the girl was finally able to make a sound.

“I know your reason for doing this.” said Choi Minhwa, Miyoung is getting downcast in shame. “Why didn't you ever tell me about your sister? Maybe I can help.”

Miyoung lifted her face and looked at the man who might be the same age as her father―if she was still alive―with a look of disbelief. The girl thought Choi Minhwa was going to abuse her, taking a vow to vent all her emotions. For God's sake! Miyoung has got him entangled behind bars. And apparently, the man was acting like this. Speak with sincerity. Miyoung could feel the affection emanating from the man's eyes, something she had long since missed from her long-deceased parents.

“I'm your boss―that if in the office―and haven't I told you to consider me my own father outside of business hours? Your late father and I have been friends for a long time, you've been my own daughter. You can ask for my help when in trouble, rather than having to obey the will of those who only use you for their own sake.”

“No, I don't want to trouble you anymore. I'm very grateful that you gave me the job, and that's more than enough. I'm not your secretary anymore. I will immediately provide a resignation letter―if I know, without it I will be fired.”

“I don't consider this a troublesome thing. And who said you were fired? I have the right to determine whether you are still working or not, I'm your boss. You'll be back to work, soon.”

“What do you mean? But I'm being held here, and―”

“You'll be released soon, miss Hwang.” The girl had just opened her mouth, would interrupt when Choi Minhwa returned saying, “I will not sue you. You'll be free.”

Miyoung closed her mouth so that her stuffing would not be heard. It's really moved. Of the many who did not want it, there were still people as good as this man. Indeed, his parents and Mr. Choi had known each other, but what Mr. Choi did was very large. More than just being kind to a friend.

****Life cannot really match what we expect.

God always gives man a choice, you alone must decide which path you will take.

Your choice may lead you to something you don't want.

But trust me, not entirely that's bad. There must be something good in each of your choices.****
