Not Him

Hyunjin rubbed her palms together, trying to get warm that way. He might be crazy now. How can he even go out on this cold night? Especially considering his poor health. Stupid, just that one word was capable of describing her at this moment.

And the thing that makes him really look stupid is that he was watching a cafe with the inscription “CLOSE” hanging on his door, observing the building from a distance. Half an hour ago Hyunjin was standing behind a wall of shops near the cafe waiting for someone to come out of the door.

A smile of relief immediately sprouted on his lips when he saw the figure of Kyuhyun coming out of the cafe. Eventually his wait paid off already, he was already too tired to wait any longer. The girl did not blink looking at Kyuhyun at the other end. Kyuhyun had just walked out of the cafe and was locking the door.

Hyunjin continued to follow him from behind, without fear of being discovered at all. With Hyunjin carefully stepping her feet, Kyuhyun seemed to be unaware that there was someone behind him.

But suddenly Kyuhyun stopped, Hyunjin already knew that the name would definitely turn around backwards. Quickly he immediately hid behind the wall. He doesn't want to be caught. That girl really looks like a stalker now.

Kyuhyun looked around but there was no one. Hyunjin immediately breathed a sigh of relief as Kyuhyun turned around again and continued his halted journey earlier. Just a few steps away, he suddenly turned back. The girl ran away and hid in a nearby tree.

Krekk accidentally stepped on a tree branch that had fallen to the ground, making a sound capable enough to reach Kyuhyun's hearing.

The name turned around, and his laughter shrieked loudly in the silence of the night. “do not play hide and seek with me, Choi Hyunjin.”

Hyunjin flinched in surprise. It was found out apparently. But how can it be that easy? Inevitably the girl finally came out of hiding. “ I guess I will not be caught.”

“what are you stalking me like this for? you're not a fan who wants to be my stalker, are you?” kyuhyun asked jokingly, not realizing the girl in front of him was looking at him heartily. Hyunjin was completely expressionless as usual, her face looked very serious.

“I want to ask for your explanation.”

“what explanation?” kyuhyun's forehead wrinkled inexplicably.

“forget! Let's just say it never happened. Suppose I never said that to you.” said Kyuhyun while looking around, trying to find another view –whatever besides Hyunjin in front of him.

Hyunjin turned around in disbelief. His eyes immediately reddened from holding back tears. “that's how you talk? You want to play me?”

“doesn't that mean nothing to you?”

Hyunjin walked up to Kyuhyun, trying to see the look in his eyes. Did he really say this? does he have no feelings? After making Hyunjin soar, now he just threw it away? very selfish.

“Do you think this is funny? You're happy after playing me like this?” Hyunjin tried to hold back her cries, but in vain. His tears just glided without him being able to prevent it at all.

Kyuhyun turned his gaze towards Hyunjin, quite surprised to see the girl who was now crying. Is she crying because of her? really, he didn't mean to make it that way. It felt like Kyuhyun came up to her and wiped the tears off Hyunjin's face, but he blurted out all his feelings. It can't be like this. Doesn't Hyunjin belong to Donghae? he has no chance anymore, right? So why would he come closer and make this even harder? Staying away from him was the best solution, he might be able to forget about the girl slowly.

“go from before me. I don't want to see you again from now on.” said Kyuhyun held back the tightness that somehow suddenly felt in his chest. He immediately turned around leaving Hyunjin who was still silently fixated, very surprised by his words just now.

“you dumped me now Cho Kyuhyun?” muttered Hyunjin. He could not hold back his tears now. Kyuhyun could no longer hear his voice, he was already far ahead.

For the second time, Hyunjin felt that she was really stupid for loving someone who didn't want her presence. Why is he never in the right position?
