Love of the Monster
The Souls (3)

There is no such thing as a soulmate. and who would want there to be? I don't want half of a shared soul. I want my own damn soul.

A thin mist crept down along with a small drizzle gushing down Raine's face.

A girl pulls a hoodie over her head to protect herself from the falling rain, although this doesn't help much. He let his long black hair fall on the side of his face, making it difficult for the people he passed by to see the pale skin color of his face.

Raine's black eyes stared straight at the streets below his feet, looking at the shoes around him, Raine tried to avoid bumping into people around him.

Raine did not dare to raise his head.

No matter where he was, he would often see something that others could not see. There are other creatures around them and this makes him very afraid because no one can see him but Raine himself.

Raine has been trying to pretend he can't see 'them' since a year ago when he was declared 'cured' from a mental hospital, but it's actually harder to do than just say.

'That creature' is everywhere.

Right now, Raine had formed a habit of bowing his head and staring fixedly at his own shoes, to help himself not to see 'them'.

Raine had learned that the creatures would not pay attention to him if he behaved as if he had not seen them from the beginning.

It's raining tonight and Raine doesn't like to be on the streets alone, especially when the sun has set because the creatures that roam at this hour are scarier than Raine ever saw.

People in the orphanage, where Raine lives now, would say that if he had Agrophobia, this was an anxiety disorder where the sufferer felt that his surroundings were an unsafe place.

Raine could not dispute this, literally, and this was also the easiest explanation when panic struck him than Raine had to explain what he had seen.

If it wasn't for taking the cure. Sullivan for his asthma from the pharmacy because he ran out of supplies, then Raine would never be out and half wet like this.

Raine tightened his grip on the medicine bag he had placed under his sweater to keep it from getting wet.

When Raine reached the sidewalk of the road, he pressed a button and raised his head slightly to look at the traffic light.

When the green light flashed with the figure of the person walking on its surface, Raine immediately walked across the highway.

At the same time, inside the black SUV.

"What did you say?" Raphael's surprised.

"Soul mate?" Calleb added. "Alpha, are you kidding me right now? Isn't it impossible for you to have a soul mate…?"

Torak bought his eyes towards Calleb which instantly made the young man shudder under Torak's fierce gaze.

Calleb often thought that his mouth would bring death to him sooner than he did. Calleb lowered his head, acting as obediently as he could while playing with his fingers.

Meanwhile, Raphael was still looking at Torak intensely from the middle rearview mirror with his mouth slightly open, his lips moving wanting to say something, saying something, but he was unable to come up with the right words for Torak's statement.

Next to him, Calleb sees a red light, but because he thinks Raphael will see this too, Calleb does not remind the Beta, however Raphael is holding the wheel.

However, when Calleb realized that their car was not slowing down at all and that a girl was about to cross the road at a zebra cross, his eyes darkened in shock.

"Shit!" Calleb cursed out loud. In the next instant, with his speed as Lycan, Calleb raised his foot, stomped on Raphael's foot and stomped the brakes hard.

The shrill sound of the tires eating the asphalt of the road, really hurt their ears.

"Damn." Raphael muttered as he looked at a girl with a brown sweater, only an inch away before the girl's body bounced crashing into their car.

"Thank you back." Calleb gave Raphael a half-hearted smile as his eyes turned green.

They could not see the girl clearly because of her messy hoodie and hair, but from what they saw, they were very sure that the girl was fine. Shock, but it's okay.

It was evidenced when the girl walked away from their sight in a hurry, rather she ran.

"Stop peeking at the Alpha, my dear Beta. You almost killed all three of us." Calleb snapped at Raphael.

As the new Raphael was about to refute Calleb's words, a door voice opened and closed, surprising the two of them. In the next second, they saw Torak had run through the raindrop.

"Then what now?" Calleb glanced at Raphael.

"Down." Raphael gives orders to Calleb as he pushes the door open, gets out of the car and chases Torak.

"Down? Now then? Rain like this?" Calleb grumbled as he opened the seat belt that was holding him.
