The plane started landing towards runaway and once the plane landed, Torak helped Raine down towards the tarmac.
Extremely bright sunlight, blocking Raine's view and making him have to pull his hat lower, Raine was still wearing the black jacket he was wearing before.
The runaway has been kept tight and Torak and the others are walking towards the cars nearby that have been waiting for them.
During the walk, Torak will continue to talk about important matters with Raphael while keeping Raine by his side.
While walking towards their cars, Raine and Torak are surrounded by fighters and Raphael walks beside Torak while Calleb walks behind him.
This was the first time for Raine to be outside and enjoy the surroundings, without fear that some strange creatures would attack him.
With Torak next to him and the warmth of his hand on Raine's waist, Torak made sure that Raine was not left behind.
Because Raine can't walk quickly and keep up with their long steps, Torak equates his steps with Rained and makes the whole group run slower than usual.
When they were near the yellow sports car, Torak opened his door and placed his hand over Raine's head as he entered the car, making sure his head did not hit the hard roof of the car.
Then Torak put the seat belt on Raine.
This time, Torak decided to drive the car with only Raine while Raphael and Calleb would drive another car.
"Are you hungry?" Torak asked as he turned on his engine which then groaned subtly.
Raine shook his head, Torak had made sure that Raine had eaten enough before their plane landed.
"Good." Torak took off Raine's baseball cap and threw it in the back seat, after which he tidied his hair. Torak likes the fine strands of Raine's hair between his fingers. "If you want something, you have to tell me, okay?"
Torak grasped Rained's hand while driving the car and would occasionally kiss him.
Along the way, Raine gazed into the scenery out there through the window pane. When he was in the orphanage or where he lived with his foster parents, it was not a big city, it was a sparsely populated suburb.
But, here, around Raine are skyscrapers, crowded streets and many people walking around. This is the new thing Raine sees.
And it's been a long time since Raine has been able to observe his surroundings so casually like this.
Raine likes this and this is reflected in his brightly glowing facial expression. Raine smiled very sweetly in the afternoon sun and nothing could make Torak happier than this in his long life except to see Raine now.
As Raine had seen, there were not many supernatural beings around this city, he had found two or three of them, but because they were so far away and he was safe in the car with Torak, Raine simply distanced himself from the window when he saw them.
"What's wrong?" Torak asked as they stopped at the red light.
In response, Raine pointed to a being that no one else seemed to be aware of its existence.
"It's okay, they'll never hurt you." Torak calms Raine.
That is true, in the city of Oriole, which is very close to the heart of the Torak territory, almost no supernatural being, other than Lycan, can live there without his permission. So, even if Raine would meet some of them, then he would be safe.
Raine did not react to the statement, even though he felt safe with Torak, it seems like Raine still could not trust the Torak words completely.
The years that Raine experienced by meeting the creatures that wanted to kill him, is not easy to forget.
