Love of the Monster

Love of the Monster
I'm Not Letting Anyone Hurt You

"Belphegor." Torak. "Don't you dare go near her." Torak spoke in a deep and very calm voice, but his tone was wrapped with threats and warnings.

Despite being in a threatened position and the fact that Torak was holding his neck in a tight grip, a mocking smile was painted on the Devil's lips. "This is the law of nature by which a moth will approach the blaze." He said in a mocking tone before Torak strangled him.

Belphegor's eyes turned to the back of his head before his body exploded into dust.

Each Lycan in the room held their breath as the identity of the man became known.

Belphegor. The prince of hell. One of the deadly sins.

Amongst the crowd, Calleb could not bear to not whisper to Raphael next to him. "Did he die?"

"No." Raphael shook his head and made a gesture for the lycans behind him to clear up the mess in this room. "He didn't even live to die."

The mystical bird flew over Torak's head and disappeared like smoke while the owner was staring at the closet where Raine was hiding with a worried face. His eyebrows were tightly interlocked.

When he felt the movement behind him slowly decrease and everyone present had left, Torak reached out his hand and grabbed the doorknob from the closet and opened it slowly.

Torak did not want to make Raine much more afraid than he was at the moment.

In the closet, Raine rolled up her body, she hugged her legs very tightly and buried her head between her knees. His body trembled in fear and this made the frown on Torak's forehead grow deeper.

"My love.." Torak called out to Raine very gently and stretched out his hand to touch her, but when his fingertips touched the top of Raine's head, the girl moved away.

Ten minutes earlier, Raine seemed very happy to see Torak in his monster form and it made him happy, no, Torak was very happy knowing Raine was not afraid of the monster in him. He even touched and smiled at her.

Everything seemed fine at the time, even if it was a small change, but Raine started to soften on it.

But, the creatures had ruined the moment.

[Reph.]

[Yes, Alpha.]

[We're leaving tonight, too.]

Torak did not wait until the Beta answered when he cut off communication between them. Torak has something else that is much more important at the moment.

Gritting his teeth, Torak stretched out his hand and grabbed Raine's body. After that, he pulled her into his arms. Hugged her very tightly, but not enough to hurt her.

As expected, Raine revolted and attempted to break away from Torak's confinement, his hands moving in all directions desperately as he attempted to kick him.

However, Torak still hugged her while rubbing her back with a calming gesture.

"It's me, my love." Torak whispered into Raine's ear. "Everything will be fine now.no one will hurt you. I'm here…" Torak continued to repeat the words again and again until Raine's attempt to hit him was reduced and in the end, Raine was silent with a trembling body in the Torak's arms.

"It's okay." Torak coaxed in a soft voice while moving forward and backward.

Slowly, Raine felt a feeling he recognized and felt the presence of Torak nearby, a sensation of touch that always occurs when they are close together, has a strong effect, like a sedative that's been injected into her every time Raine lost his mind years ago.

After a few minutes passed with persuasion and whispers, finally, all that was left of Raine was a sedu sedan and a sob.

On the other hand, Torak still did not let go of Raine before he was absolutely certain that this soul mate could really feel his presence and was fine.

Raine raised his head and peeked out from behind his wet eyelashes towards Torak.

Torak couldn't help but smell the rest of Raine's tears. "You're safe now, my love. I won't let anyone, not even myself, hurt you." It's very painful for Torak to see Raine like this. "Do you trust me, my love?"

Raine looked into Torak's eyes and this made Torak unable to say words just by looking into the beautiful eyes of his soul mate. Torak wants to stare at Raine like this forever.

Unexpectedly, Raine wrapped her arms around Torak's neck and buried her face in the curve of his neck as she nodded faintly.

Are you okay? Can we go now?" Torak tidied up Raine's slightly messy hair and lifted it by hugging him tightly while Raine clung to him like a koala.

Raine does not know where Torak will take him, the only thing he knows at the moment is; this stranger makes him feel safe and, although this sounds very strange, Raine believes in Torak.

Therefore, once again Raine nodded.

Torak picks up his black jacket and a brown sweater before he puts Raine on the couch.

Torak then put on the brown sweater at an amazing speed and helped Raine to put on his jacket.

The jacket was too big for Raine's small body and with a baseball cap on top of his head, no one would be able to recognize it.

When Raine raised his head to look at Torak, his physical figure blurred, but in the next second, Torak was already kneeling before Raine, raising his feet to pair his shoes for him.

Uncomfortable with what Torak did to her, Raine leaned forward in order to tie her own shoelaces, but Torak caught Raine's hand before he touched his shoe and kissed the back of the girl's hand very gently.

"Let me do it." He said slowly and raised the other leg of Raine.

After Torak had finished pairing the shoes for Raine, Torak buttoned his black jacket and pulled out Raine's hair as he said. "We're going home."
