Assault!

Because Raine could not sleep all night and only closed his eyes after the first sunlight touched the horizon, Raine woke up late.

The clock shows at 9:57 when he finally woke up and the place beside him had been empty for a long time. Riane felt that the bed was no longer warm.

Rubbing her still sleepy eyes, Raine got off the bed and walked towards the window.

Torak always leaves the curtains in the closed window if Raine is still asleep. That way, he can sleep even longer. Torak was very attentive to him to do such a thing, but Raine felt himself to be lazy by the way Torak spoiled him.

Raine pulls the curtains and opens them, soon he can feel the warmth of the sunlight shining down on him when, sweeping them away with a new hope of starting today.

Raine's smile that was so bright on his face, could compete with the sunlight out there.

If only Torak were here, then he would have agreed without hesitation.

After Raine took a quick shower, he walked towards the clothes storage room and chose to wear Torak's light blue t-shirt.

Raine likes the scent emanating from the shirt, reminding himself of Torak. Afterwards, she wore sky-blue jeans and parka jackets, making her a blue girl overall.

Raine looked at himself in the mirror, the bruises and wounds he had gotten from before had begun to disappear. Thank you for the drugs that Dr. Parker gives it to her when Torak takes her for a major check-up.

But, still Raine can not get out of the room and meet the crowd by wearing short-sleeved clothes, of course Torak is an exception.

Torak has seen himself more than Raine wants to show, when he goes through a check-up. Because the Alpha insisted on being there to accompany Raine.

Raine blushed when he remembered this and again with other thoughts about the kiss they had last night.

The girl looked at herself back in the mirror as she tucked her hair into a messy bond over her head. He observed the girl inside the mirror and was slightly stunned.

It was very difficult for Raine to believe that the girl in the mirror reflection, who was smiling faintly, was the same girl, who did not even dare to raise her head and could only stare at the tips of her own feet, a few weeks ago.

Today, Raine looks much healthier, happier and more lively than ever before.

Raine was hoping to thank Torak in his own voice, he would definitely be surprised! But, even when Raine tried to open his mouth and force air through his throat, no sound could be heard from his mouth.

He tried again, but nothing happened.

Feeling a little gloomy, Riane stood up and walked out of the clothing room, wearing her blue parka jacket, to meet Torak.

The first place he went to was Torak's study, but when Raine opened the door, Torak wasn't there.

It seems like Torak is in his other study and this is on a different floor.

Raine has never been to his study on the third floor, but Torak always informs himself of where he goes.

Raine patted both of his cheeks, took a deep breath and rounded his resolve. He had promised himself that he would never run away again.

'Everything's gonna be okay'. While muttering those words, Raine pushed open the door that directed her towards the stairs.

She chose not to get into the elevator because she had mild claustrophobia.

Previously, Torak had always been with her to calm her down whenever they had to use the elevator, now when Raine was only alone, she did not want to be in such a cramped place because such a place made her feel uncomfortable, it's like he's in brackets.

Raine walked down the stairs. The floors in this mansion were divided based on their status.

The eighth floor is reserved for Beta and his family while the seventh floor is for Gamma and his family. But, since Raphael and Calleb still had not found their partner, the two floors below were empty. There's no one.

The fifth and fourth floors are for the fighters.

Raine managed to get to the fourth floor without attracting much attention, during the day, most people were outside to do their duty, hence not many people were aware of his presence, especially when Raine's body scent has mixed with Torak.

Two or three people gave questioning gazes, but since they smelled the Alpha scent on this girl, they didn't want to look for it and just smiled at Raine.

There was only one more floor left, and then Raine was able to meet Torak.

However, before he could descend down the stairs, someone gripped Raine's wrist with his cold fingers and pulled him roughly.

Raine did not have time to understand what was really going on when his back hit the wall.

"Humans.." a rough growling sound came from above Raine's head as hot breath and a foul smell came over his nose.

A man with a very large body, cornered Raine's body into the wall. This man was as tall as Torak, but his body was not formed from muscle, but rather he had a lot of fat in some places.

His hand that grasped Raine's wrist felt like a sausage and this gave Raine a nauseous feeling, his stomach churning uncomfortably.

Raine doesn't like this guy's touch!

Other than Torak, he doesn't like other people touching him!
