He stood right before Raine's eyes, his body towering in front of him.

The man's brown skin glistened in the sunlight, his curly and long hair falling on his shoulders in a messy style and his golden-colored eyes looked straight into Raine's black-colored eyes.

Her golden eyes shone with pleasure and madness while the loose t-shirts and torn jeans she wore covered her slightly thin body.

This man was almost as tall as Torak, but thinner than him.

Surprise and fear soon spread throughout Raine's body. He walked backwards as the man moved closer to him until his back hit the sliding door made of glass that led to the balcony.

The man stopped as well, keeping the distance between them only a few centimeters.

Raine turned his attention towards the bathroom, he could still hear the gurgling sound of water falling to the floor. Torak was still unaware of what was happening while Raine groaned quietly.

"What's this?" The man shakes his head curiously. "Can't you talk?" his voice sounded like a whisper while he judged Raine.

There was no sound coming out of Raine's lips, no matter how frightened he was and tears began to wash over his eyes.

"Is this possible? The purest creatures can be as good as this?" the man muttered to himself.

Raine feels claustrophobic just by the way the man sees himself, as if he is a quarry. He looked towards the bathroom once again when Raine heard the sound of water from the shower stopping.

The man also looked in the same direction as Raine and clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Looks like he's coming now." Again, the man spoke to himself in a lazy tone and returned his attention back to this frightened girl.

���Alright, this is the fastest way to try it." The man pondered for a moment. Next, he pointed his index finger and touched Raine's cheek skin.

Raine stared at his skinny finger with a sharp fingernail tip, approaching towards his face.

Raine was too afraid to see what this man was going to do, so he closed his eyes and prepared to feel pain or worse.

After which, his nails pierced Raine's cheeks and the girl felt a stinging pain from the wounds that formed.

However, the man pulled his hand quickly and made Raine open his eyes to see what was really going on when he heard the man muttering in a dreamy tone.

"This is true of you.." The man looked at his index finger. The tip of his finger, which had touched Rain earlier, had left quite a severe burning wound.

Seeing the burns on his finger, Raine recalled something from his bad past memories, but he knew what he should do now.

Raising her hand, Raine swept her cheek with the back of her hand and looked at the blood that was splashing there.

As Raine had thought, those creatures, who had hunted him, could not touch his blood.

Something bad will happen to them if they touch his blood directly.

After all these years, Raine began to realize this.

Therefore, with the rest of the blood on the back of his hand, Raine came forward and pushed the man away.

Instinctively, the man moved to the side before Riane could touch him. She thought this frightened girl would eventually fight back, but what shocked her was; raine ran towards the bathroom.

"Interesting.." an evil smile was engraved on his lips.

Raine did not look back to check on the man as he ran quickly and forcefully entered the bathroom.

Raine's body moved faster than his mind. Within seconds, he could smell the fresh wood from Torak's body and Raine did not think long when he hit Torak.

Seconds before Raine's body hits Torak, Torak flips his body with a low growl, ready to fight the intruder.

The Torak had half switched with its elongated claws. However, she froze on the spot when she saw it was Rained an at the moment the girl was hugging her waist, her distinctive scent sweeping through Torak's sense of smell.

Torak was shocked for a moment before consciousness finally took over his mind. Instinctively, she wrapped her arms around Raine's trembling body.

"What's going on?" torak's voice sounded panicked as he asked.

Something wrong has happened. Torak tried to smell the air and sharpen his hearing, but he heard nothing.

Torak left Raine shortly and all his guards and fighters had secured this entire floor. What else could threaten him?

Torak pulled Raine's face and made her to look at it. Only then can Torak see a small cut on his cheek. The wound still slightly spits out blood.

"Someone in the room?" Torak tries to keep his voice as quiet as possible so that he doesn't scare Raine, but when Raine nods. Torak's blue eyes darkened.

"Stay here." Torak said in a deep voice, but Raine shook his head loudly, he was too afraid to be alone again.

With no other choice, Torak makes Raine to release his embrace on his waist and hide it behind his back as he walks out of the bathroom.

Torak's blood seemed to boil and this did not help at all when the monster inside him was also feeling unsettled.

An intruder broke into their room and hurt Raine!

Torak circulated his gaze throughout the room and his body became alert.

There aren't.

There was nothing in the room.

The room is empty.

Torak walked to the window, checked it, but it was still locked.

[No, everything is good.]

[Come here right now! And ask the fighters to check this floor.]

[Okay.]

Torak turned around and hugged Raine who was still trembling. He buried his face into Torak's bare chest.

Torak then rubbed Raine's back gently. "It's okay, I'm sorry." He kept whispering soothing words. This was the second time in two days that Raine was terrified.

For some reason, this makes Torak upset with himself.

Raine was shocked inside the Torak's embrace when he heard the sound of the door suddenly opening. "That's Calleb." Torak informs Raine.

"the alpha! Everything's fine!" calleb's voice could be heard before his seemingly carefree figure appeared, but his light footsteps stopped and his eyes widened open. "Alpha, why are you naked?"
