Love of the Monster

Love of the Monster
Between Two Worlds

Between two plans and still exist.

Between two dimensions, and drift.

Beneath two skies I watch and wait.

Between two worlds I roam and waste.

The door slammed open violently along with a harsh tone from Uncle James. "What the fuck is this!?"

Raine falls to the floor when the door opens and shows Jamas' uncle wearing his boxer shorts and a baseball bat in his right hand.

"Raine?" Jamae looked down at her friend's only daughter. "What happened to you?" She immediately crouches down to hold Raine to her arms while her eyes wander around her yard, looking for possible outside threats.

But there was nothing there but darkness.

"Darling, what's going on?" He rubbed Raine's back, trying to calm her down. "Tell me what's going on?" An uneasy feeling ran through his body when James saw the blood on Raine's body.

Meanwhile, the little girl kept pointing towards her house.

James looked at the house across the street with his eyes. "Ann, get him inside and call the cops." James instructed his wife who was crouching next to him.

Then James hands Raine to Ann and stands up to his friend, Raine's parents, with a baseball bat in his hand.

"Be careful." Ann warns James with worry and takes Raine inside the house before he calls the police station.

Three hours later, Raine's house is surrounded by many people who are curious about what happened to the Tatum family. Yellow police lines have been spotted around the house, preventing spectators from taking any steps closer to the scene.

Ambulance sirens are very tight and deafening, making a quiet night a stir.

Inside James' house, Raine dips his face into Ann's arms. In front of the little girl were two police officers trying to get information from her.

"We'll be back tomorrow." One of the police officers sighed deeply after failing to get a statement from Raine.

"I'm so sorry, dear Raine." The oldest police officer offered his condolences to Raine and rubbed the little girl's head sympathetically. "We'll find the culprit."

Afterwards, the two police officers searched for James again for more details, as he was the first to approach the house before police arrived.

Maybe James missed something that could be a clue to their investigation of the perpetrator. The scene of the crime was so chaotic and ruined, especially inside Raine's bedroom.

It was as if a WWF cast had been performing there, but except for that, they could find nothing. Given how damaged the crime scene was, not a single drop of blood was there.

There are no fingerprints at all! That fact is impossible. There was not a single fingerprint that could be found in the entire house!

James has repeated his statement that he also did not see a single person when he approached the house.

How quaint…

The only person who knows this truth is Raine Tatum, the only daughter of the Tatum family, but the little girl is also not in a condition that allows for an investigation.

***8 year later***

"Is it clear!?" A deep Torak voice echoed in the room containing six people from the Director's ranks.

While Torak's gaze swept across the entire room, they all did not dare to look at his eyes directly while answering with a mutter that expressed their agreement.

"You can all go, except Mr. Ronan." The azure Sea-like eyes of Torak fell onto a middle-aged man sitting to his right.

"Yes, sir." They all answered in one piece and immediately collected the scattered papers on the table as if in the next second they were still there, Donovan's torches will make their lives much more miserable than this.

Within a short period of time, everyone except Ronan left the room.

The five people gave a sympathetic look at Ronan, their guess was; ronan, as one of the shareholders, was, has done something unacceptable that caused Torak Donovan to need to speak to him directly.

From the very beginning of the meeting, they could feel Torak was not in a good mood. He looked even colder and creepy than before.

Not that he usually looks more friendly and warm to others, but something must have gone terribly wrong if they could have noticed the annoyance in Torak's behavior during the meeting.

However, what they did not know about this discussion was beyond their wildest imaginations.

After everyone had left, a young man, who was about in his late twenties, entered the room and Ronan stood up from his seat, bowing his body slightly respectfully. "The Beta(5) Supreme Raphael." He greeted Raphael, assistant of Torak.

Raphael nodded his head in response as he walked across the room and placed a pile of documents on the table, in front of Torak. "Alpha(6) Supreme Torak, you should see all this." Raphael pushed through a pile of important documents that needed Torak's attention.

Torak Donovan, the legendary name of the Donovan brothers who are famous in the human world and in the supernatural world.

He is the famous CEO of Donovan Enterprises Holding, inc. in the human world, not every soul can be lucky enough to see him.

He runs his business behind the scenes and only holds essentials with important people, while the rest will be handled by Beta or Gamma(7).

Not all employees are human, most of them are supernatural beings, as is Ronan. He is an Alpha of the Crescent Moon Swarm, a Swarm located in one of the Torak business areas.

Automatically, most of the members of this herd will work under the Donovan Torak company.

Torak Donavan is the Monarch in the human world for supernatural beings, while Jedrek, the older brother of Torak, rules the supernatural world along with Kace.

However, Kace has been missing for almost hundreds of years and no one soul can find him.
