Anne gave the sexy billionaire a shy smile before she answered him. "Raine refused to come out of her room, I couldn't persuade the girl."
Without waiting for further explanation, Torak had already taken a step towards the door and did not bother to ask Anne the direction of Raine's room.
He was able to trace the scent of his soul mate's body well. A fresh scent from after the rain that could easily calm the monster inside him.
For Lycanthropes and werewolves, their partner's distinctive scent is stronger than anything they can smell.
The scent of Raine's body carried Torak down the corridor and down the stairs that seemed to connect to the basement. Torak scrunched his forehead.
Why does Raine live in the basement?
Torak went down the stairs to another corridor that looked more gloomy, at the end of the corridor, Torak could see Calleb in the form of a wolf Abu-abunya was walking back and forth in front of an old wooden door.
Torak uses his Lycan speed to approach Calleb.
In the next second, Torak had stood in front of a door and turned his knob, but the door had been locked. Torak skirted the surface of the wooden door with his finger, considering breaking it down and getting Raine back.
However, this will surprise Raine, and the last thing Torak wants is to make Raine fear him.
Torak could feel the girl's fear as she held him earlier and this reality did not make him at all comfortable.
[What happened?] Torak asked Calleb via mind link.
The three ashes stopped walking and sat on their hind legs while looking at Torak. [Supreme Alpha, the girl was able to see me in this form and since I followed her, it seemed like this was what scared her.]
Not long after, Raphael, Anne and Ms. Lang approached Torak. The three of them ran down the stairs and almost lost their breath when they reached this floor, except for Raphael, of course.
Raphael did not even gasp at all.
"Mr Donovan, how did you know that this was Raine's room?" Anne asked in confusion.
But, Torak was very impatient, even to hear Anne's question. He immediately asked quickly. "You have a spare key to open this door?"
"Yes, yeah.." Mrs. Lang was still panting heavily as he pulled out a lock from his pocket. "Raine almost always shuts herself in the room, so I'm always ready with the keys to her room, just in case she does anything stupid in there." The old woman muttered while she opened the door of Raine's room.
A soft 'click' sound echoed along the illumination-lit corridor when the door finally opened.
Torak took over the doorknob from Mrs' hand. Lang opened and stepped inside impatiently.
Torak's fist had formed a fist when he saw Raine's extremely miserable room, even his bathroom was much larger than this.
In this small room, which contained only a small bed, a small table and a cupboard, Torak saw Raine roll himself in the corner of the bed, trembling in fear while hugging himself, and he saw her, buried his face between his knees.
Torak stopped stepping.
"What are you doing sitting there quietly? Mr. Donovan is waiting for you from earlier." Mrs. Lang scolded Raine. "Hurry and pack your things." This old woman couldn't seem to wait to get rid of Raine.
"Get out." Torak closed his eyes to hide the color that had turned black.
In the way of the Lady. Lang talks to Raine, Torak can imagine what kind of ill-treatment they give him and how Raine lives in fear, making Torak have to control his emotions.
When there was no movement whatsoever, Torak faced them with anger that burned his eyes.
Patience is not a talent that a Donovan Torak possesses.
"K.E.L.U.A.R S.E.K.A.R.A.N.G!" Torak emphasizes every word that is thrown.
