Torak is listening to Alpha Xavier handing over his report when he catches an unsettling message through a mind-link.

Torak was supposed to block all forms of communication during this meeting, but he did not because he felt uneasy leaving Raine alone in the hotel room, one floor below.

In fact, Raine is not really alone because Torak has ordered James, one of his best fighters, to stand guard in front of Raine's room while the other Lycanthropes blend in with normal humans, spread throughout the hotel building.

Raine would be fine for three hours without Torak present, but he could not resist the pull of such a strong soul bond on Raine.

Torak also did not expect this when he caught the mind link that had been sent by James.

[Luna disappeared!]

One short sentence is what Torak needs to get out of the meeting room, not heeding the other Alpha present.

A deep and sharp growl tore his throat as he pulled the door apart from its hinges.

But, Torak did not care about it, he was eager to tear James apart because of his carelessness.

Raphael follows behind Torak, while Calleb is a little late due to the sudden pain that envelops him as a result of the consequences of Torak's anger. He stumbles to reach the door and chases after the two of them, but Raphael is nowhere to be seen, as well as the enraged Alpha.

Calleb grumbled and sniffed the air, but it didn't help much because the corridor was so full of hundreds of smells from humans and supernatural beings mixed in the air.

Torak ran straight to the floor below him as Raine's faint scent delivered him to the elevator and took him down five floors below to the lobby, but Raine is not alone because Torak can tell that there are two other people with the girl.

They are James and Jenedieth.

Torak's blood flow becomes faster. He ran towards the lobby and saw nothing.

Torak stopped running and forced his way through the 'mind' of another Lycan who was looking for Raine, right at that moment, a random image floated in the Torak's eyes and their fear of Torak's wrath ran through the Lycan veins, a moment later Torak saw Raine.

One of the fighters managed to find the girl.

Within seconds Torak had reached the parking lot in the basement, where he saw five of his fighters in the form of wolves, making a circle next to a red car while the other three in human form are trying to talk to Raine.

Raine trembled, his eyes closed as well as his hands and hands covered both his ears.

Meanwhile, the three Lycan in their human form continuously persuaded Raine. "Come here, we won't hurt you." one of them moved closer to Raine, but a low growl that seemed to be able to shake and tear down their bones, echoed throughout the basement.

They all moved backwards simultaneously, the other five wolves putting their tails between the hind legs.

The enraged Torak moved forward towards Raine, the Alpha was furious that Raine looked so frightened, seeing him like this had completely broken his heart to pieces.

Sensing someone approaching her and pulling her into a hug, Raine tries to push the person away, struggling to be free of her, but Torak presses Raine's head gently against her chest.

The sensation returned from the closeness between them and made Raine realize the presence of Torak and his soft voice lingering in Raine's ears.

"It's me.." Torak said, rubbing Raine's hair gently. "Don't fear me, my love…"

The feeling of security from the touch Torak gave Raine stopped struggling, especially because in reality he was unlikely to push Torak away. At least, not at this time, Torak was determined to hold her tightly.

When Calleb and Raphael catch up with Torak, the Alpha stands up like that, trying every way to calm down his partner.

Just after a few minutes had passed and Raine had already calmed down, Torak loosened his embrace, putting his hand on Raine's waist to keep him close to her.

"What's going on?!" Torak rebuked and Raine was surprised by the tone Torak used.

Frustrated, Torak closes his eyes, this time trying to calm himself down, raging in front of Raine is not a good idea, so Torak uses a mind link to instruct Raphael to interrogate James about what happened.

"Let's go back." Torak said very softly, as soft as he could among the overflowing anger in his chest.

It was then that Torak saw Raine's bare feet. Without considering the surroundings, Torak raised Raine in his hand and walked into the room.

"Alpha.." Raphael suddenly cut the Torak road before he entered the hotel. "Someone can make news of this."

What Raphael meant was; Torak was a very famous CEO in the business world among normal people.

These people will not understand this and will create problems by spreading fake news.

"In that case, it will be the last news they make." Torak said with his deep voice while his eyes turned black.
