Friday night I just got back to Bojong. I haven't slept here in nearly a week. I came home at 9pm. Hhh...
My front house looks lonely. No one then lalang let alone a sign tent will be held Hajatan. Maybe tomorrow, everything will be installed. Hhh.... I just took a deep breath and went inside the house after opening the locked door and then locking it back inside.
The night is late. I am tired and want to go to bed quickly.
3 O'clock my hape alarm goes off. Time to wake up sahur.
Oh God! I forgot to cook rice before bed because I was so tired. Hhh... Forced today only sahur accompanied by instant noodles and boiled eggs only. God willing can satiate and make me strong until magrib arrives tomorrow.
As usual, after dawn, I no longer sleep. My dirty clothes piled up kept me busy with a few buckets full of water. I have to wash my clothes that I haven't washed in a week. Go, spirit!
Didn't feel like I had just finished washing at 6 a.m. Directly drying in a small aluminum spray on the house. Not enough apparently because my clothes are booming. I took the initiative to find a used plastic rope to tie the refrigerator when moving.
I opened my wet t-shirt and only wore knee-length shorts. After searching here and there I finally found the rope and ready to stretch to make a clothesline beside the house.
With the help of the plastic chair I had, I managed to tie the end of the rope on one of the branches of the rambutan tree beside the house. There is only one more end that I have to tie at the canopy of the terrace of the house.
Suddenly my eyes fell on someone's eyes. Randy! We looked old. And I just realized that my clothes did not look polite making me jump down from the chair immediately ran into the house. Almost toppled in front of the door if only my hand was not alert to hold the door immediately.
Hadeuh..! Why should there be such a shameful incident with Ranti who incidentally is my neighbor. My face was red instantly while fixing myself wearing the tee shirt I took from the closet. I also replaced my shorts with long training pants. Hhh... After a long wait, I just came out again to finish my job drying clothes.
Happily! Looks like Ranti has entered his house. I pretended to be a daze. Observing around. Thank God it was quiet, no one saw my strange behavior.
Again I was pensive to feel that the atmosphere looked lonely. Usually people will get married, in another week his house must have been crowded people back and forth busy making preparations. Not to mention the mothers who help who hajajatan make various food cakes for later H day. But why Ranti's house looks lonely. Will the show be held at Hardi's house? I was just guessing.
I am busy with my job. Sweep the floor and mop it. Although my hands are busy, but my brain is no less busy. They just got married? In the month of Ramadan? Have they been together for 6 or 7 months? Why wait that long? Even though as long as I am not around and do not come to disturb, they can have a wedding right away, right? Hhh....
Stop, stop thinking, Dika! It's none of your business! That's their business, nothing to do with you! Aisssh....! Go you devil, who messed with my mind!
"Papaaa....!" Orange stands at my door.
"Be careful honey, the floor is slippery. Papa just finished mopping! Wait a minute, papa take the dry cloth first!" I said immediately, worried that my son had fallen.
"Papa koq just got home? It worked long!" jingga said directly with his protest.
"Hayo, what day is it! Why don't we go to school?" I pretended to be angry to divert the question of Jingga.
"Iiih.hari saturday khan emangnya holiday." My son is very smart. Makes me laugh at his style when answering my questions.
"Today, don't you go to Hardi's house?"
"Engga!"
"Abi's house?"
"Engga!"
"Till don't go with mama?"
"Engga!"
I pensively for a moment. Means my son and Ranti today will indeed stay at home. Maybe in the afternoon or evening they just left. Tomorrow khan time Ranti ijab kabul with Sofyan Ali.
Today Orange wants to play doll with Elin here. Can you, pa?" ask Orange so sweet. I smiled while nodding. Apparently Jingga has made an appointment with her friend whose house is only 3 houses away from here.
"Eliiiiin! Papa said I can play here!" A loud orange scream made me close my ears because of his voice. Hehehe..basic, Orange!
Orang and Elin carry a large plastic each that turns out to be stuffed toys and trinkets.
They held their toys in my house until it looked like a field in the market made me laugh while patting my forehead. Look, girls' game!
I sat inside intentionally opening the door. So if the orange needs something, there is no need to open the door. I remember the aquarium I bought with Jingga the other day. Then check the ornamental fish that are still in the plastic bag.
Well, the fish are all dead. One week they're in plastic. Although filled with water, but without air and without being fed. The fish did not survive. I dare not disturb the cool orange playing with his friend.
I immediately threw it out of the water in the bathroom. Tomorrow I intend to buy more fish for the contents of the aquarium are still empty.
"Thank you, papa!"
"Together, Orange!"I answered with a smile.
"Elin, say thank you to papa Jingga!" the reprimand of Orange to his friend made me laugh not to see his style.
"Thank you, the father is an orange!"
"Together, Elin!"
I was really amused by my son's funny behavior. Hhh.... Oh God, these lips are ceaselessly smiling to pay attention to the orange who returned engrossed in playing with his friend. I just peeked behind the window. Don't want to disturb him.
I took a pillow in the room. Rebahan in the guest room with carpet only. Hhh.. My eyes sleepy, making me fall asleep quickly. Until I was surprised by the sound of Zuhur's adhan which was heard through loudspeakers in the mosque.
Oh Allah!... I fell asleep once. I see my son no longer exists. So did his friend and toys. Apparently they're home.
I took a shower of lightning and ablution, then rushed towards the mosque not too far from my house.
"Rapaa!" the voice of orange calls to me. Apparently he was standing in front of his house while carrying a plate complete with rice and side dishes.
"Papa masjid first yaa...!!" I waved my hand with a smile at the bright orange looking at me.
Saturdays and Sundays are the most awaited days. Besides I can relax without having to think about work, I also have time with my daughter Orange. Alhamdulillah! I am so grateful that God has given me the time to pay for everything I lost with Orange.
"Papa buy TV dong!" jangga said after I went home to pray and he went back to my house.
"Later on, if you're paying, baby!"
"Come home, pa! Wanna see Tayo with Lani!"
"What movie is that, son? Papa koq just heard, huh? If upin ipin papa tau!"
"That's a pah, little cartoon bus Tayo. It's blue. There's Gayo, there's Lani, there's Cito there's Nuri..."
"Papa don't know, never seen!"
"Until she has Tayo's doll, Lani's doll, too. For a moment, reward, Orange take it first!" Orange darting running home made me scream to advise him.
"Don't run, Orange! Falling later! Papa ain't going koq, papa wait here!"
"Yeah!" The boy, made me laugh while shaking my head.
Soon enough, Jingga started carrying two bus-shaped dolls. One is blue, the other is yellow.
"It's Tayo, it's Lani!"
"Hi Tayo, hi Lani! I am the father of Orange. We know yaaa!"
"Haha... Papa's funny!" Orange laughed out loud watching me introduce myself to both dolls.
"Orang! Take a nap, will you? It's one o'clock in the afternoon, baby!" suddenly Ranti's voice sounded to me and Orange looked in the same direction. Ranti stood in front of my porch. It seemed awkward to enter my porch and meet me.
"That's bobo by noon first, huh? Wake up, play again!" bejukku slowly. Orange Lips pout funny.
"Ayooooo's...What was our deal last week! Don't make my mom sad. Yes khan?" my whisper to Jingga reminded us of our agreement. The silent orange did not answer. But his feet stepped out without spirit. Wearing his sandals lazily.
"Till bobo day first huh, pa!?"
"Smart kid! Don't forget the sleep prayer!" Orange left without answering my words again. Ranti followed him from behind.
"Replace! Congratulations on the wedding tomorrow. Sorry, I can't seem to attend your wedding!" I said before Ranti was far away. Ranti just looked at me with a smile. I felt something strange about Ranti's smile. I don't know and can't guess. Is it because Ranti remembers the incident this morning when I almost slipped down from the plastic chair when I was about to run into the house because of embarrassment? Probably also. I blushed to myself considering the incident. Embarrassed.
