First Bonsai

At night at the Gates family home, the arrival of Jester and Sarah at the house was quite surprising for William and Marrie. Sarah is visiting the Gates family home for the first time. At that time Sarah came and conveyed a desire that increasingly made Jester, William and Marrie surprised and astonished, without asking further when William accepted Sarah's request.

The four of them enter the house together, but Jester and Marrie go to the living room, while Sarah and William enter William's workroom.

With a sigh from William, the silence between his uncle and niece was about to begin.

Sarah said her words as if she really wanted her Uncle and Aunt to take part in the relationship of Jester and Naomi, As far as Sarah knows, Naomi and Jester are at the end of their marriage. Sarah hopes that Naomi and Jester will be inseparable and be able to realize their dream marriage.

"You're right, maybe it's time for parents to help their children find a way to not continue to get lost" William said, then stood up from his seat, Sarah was still silent and looked at William's face.

"I'll talk to Marrie right away to meet Naoko, thanks to Sarah's advice" William said as he walked out of the study, Sarah stood up and followed William out of William's study.

William and Sarah walk up to the family room and meet Jester and Marrie who are chatting, in the family room for a while Jester, William, and, Marrie and Sarah chatted on various topics but did not talk about Naomi at all. Not long, Sarah also said goodbye to go home to the Gates mansion.

Jester who was about to return home along with Sarah's return had to survive at the Gates family home because of Marrie's request, with the reason Marrie still miss chatting with Jester who made Jester reluctantly obey Marrie's request.

After making sure Sarah and Jester's private driver left, Jester walked back inside the house to meet his parents.

"I'm in mom's bonsai room, you know the way here?" ask Naomi

Selena went back down the stairs and walked down the side garden of the house, circled a swimming pool and at the end of the road Selena saw the greenhouse where Naoko put all her bonsai inside the greenhouse. Selena opened the door of the greenhouse and her eyes were immediately fixed on the back of a woman who stood staring at a bonsai that seemed to have a special place among the other bonsai.

"Naomi?" selena asked to make sure if what she saw was true Naomi, slowly Naomi turned to look at Selena and then smiled.

"Hi" said Naomi and then looked back at the yellowed leaf, Selena walked up to Naomi while looking right left.

A memory of the past arrives present in Selena's memory, which becomes a picture of the closeness of Selena and Naomi who have formed a friendship since they were children. With a face that emitted a little laughter, Selena seemed to remember they were friends who were so close, before cracking because of love affairs.

"I remember we were scolded by your mother for playing here, thankfully your father saved us by calling your mother into the house" Selena said, stopping right next to Naomi, naomi's small laughter sounded as if she was remembering the events Selena told her about.

"We were seven years old at the time, all that anger because I almost dropped this bonsai in front of us" Naomi said in a voice that sounded so sad, Selena looked at Naomi's face but was still silent as if waiting for Naomi to tell her about the bonsai.

"This is the first bonsai that fathers give to mothers as one of their wedding gifts. Now this bonsai is going to die because I mishandled him in the past month." Naomi said slightly stammered, for a moment Naomi fell silent and sighed.

"Since my father died, I've never cared for him again. At first I was confused about having to choose to take care of her or leave her alone, but with my ego I chose to take care of her in place of mother and I instead damaged her faster" Naomi continued, Selena saw so much water pooling the bonsai pot.

"You give too much water" Selena said, Naomi sighing again.

"From the past until now it was always this way, when I decided something there was always a victim." Naomi said in a sad tone.

"And how long did it take you to realize that your decision now would cost Jester's heart?" selena asked with innuendo, Selena's question made Naomi turn her eyes to look at Selena with a look full of sadness.
