Early in the morning in a room in the Gates mansion, there was a large round table surrounded by Jester, Naomi, Sarah, William, Andrews, Phillips, and Arthur. The meeting that looks so formal with a slightly stiff atmosphere is so felt there. Several documents are seen piling up in front of Jester, Jester's facial expression looks upset as Julius continues to pile up documents - documents right in front of him.
Naomi, who knows the core of the afternoon meeting, is to transfer the leadership of Gates Family Corp from Arthur to Jester, who is, making it difficult to hold back the laughter from seeing the face of Jester who was unable to cover up the feelings he was facing. Naomi could feel Jester slightly objecting to the task that Jester was going to carry forward, moreover, with the many documents seen on the table, Naomi believes Jester will have difficulty organizing her time to live life like a teenager in general.
A different scene is seen between Arthur and Sarah who continue to stare at each other without a word, but Arthur's gaze looks warm when staring at Sarah. Getting a warm gaze that makes Sarah more worried about what to behave like at a time like this, finally Sarah did not long waste her face to avoid continuing to look at Arthur.
Sarah's first meeting with her grandfather left her at a loss for the expression she had to put before Arthur, her heartbeat so loud that this formal state forced her to try as quietly as possible. The silence broke after the final document was stacked by Julius, with Arthur calmly starting the conversation after they had all been silent.
"That's all the documents for the handover of the Gates family, I expect a lot from you Jester" Arthur said with a smile that appeared to be on his lips, Jester banging his forehead on a fairly hard spell.
"Why so much? what about my teenage life that's fun?" in an annoyed tone Jester asked, Arthur and Julius laughed almost simultaneously.
The atmosphere that had been tense caused a little laughter because of the spontaneity shown by Jester, it is undeniable that the company that Jester will manage is very large and becomes number one in his country. With his status that a student with an age that is not so mature and his life that is always relaxed makes him have anxiety about his youth will be boring with his new status.
"Great master Jester, that's what someone who's gonna take my place is for. I would recommend some people who would definitely ease your duties, I hope it helps the big master a little bit" Julius replied with a slight laugh, Jester raising his head to look at Julius.
"Wouldn't it be better if Julius had helped me? all of you being a mentor to me" in a tone that sounded annoyed Jester said, Julius just smiled in response to Jester's words.
"Julius will accompany me through the rest of our lives, at least that will be all that will be left of this old Arthur through his boring retirement" Arthur replied with a sigh, Jester turned his gaze to look at Arthur.
"Grandpa and Julius will be here, right? so it doesn't matter if.." Unfinished Jester said, Arthur cut.
"We're going to rest on a private island away from the urban hustle and bustle, it's been a long time we've wanted such a peaceful life" Arthur said, hearing Arthur's words as he made Jester, Naomi and Sarah were shocked.
Suddenly Sarah turned her gaze to look at the figure of Arthur so thoroughly, it made her realize that her grandfather was so old and it was time to rest and relax for his old age. Whether the feeling of what is being felt by Sarah sees Arthur, but Arthur's statement makes some of Sarah's heart like pity and eager to be near the grandfather.
There was never a male figure from his family who accompanied Sarah, there was a feeling in Sarah's heart to want to be close to her grandfather because Sarah felt it would be difficult to be close to her father who already had a new family. But the reality that he experienced with his mother Jessica made Sarah remember her anger and strengthen her heart to still hate Arthur.
"When this house?" ask Jester wonder
"Great master Jester will stay here in our place, while Mr. Andrews, Mr. William and Mr. Phillips will come out with us" Julius replied firmly
"Aahs.. Eeh.... but it is impossible that a house this big will only be inhabited by us? although there are many workers here but we will still feel lonely" Naomi said
"Is the island far away?" asked Sarah arrived, all who were there were surprised to hear Sarah's question and at the same time Jester, Naomi, William, Andrews, Phillips, Arthur and Julius looked at Sarah.
"Why? why are you looking at me like that?" sarah asked again as her eyes looked at them all in turn.
"I didn't expect you to ask at a time like this, your arrival has also surprised me even though I actually asked Jester to arrange my schedule to meet you young Miss Gates" replied Arthur
"My name is Sarah Arielle and I don't want Gates' name attached to me" Sarah said in an angry voice
"Is that bad for you?" ask Arthur
"Yes! that's bad for me!! you were the one who told him to leave me?!! you also told everyone to destroy me! then isn't that bad for me?!!" Sarah stood up from her seat and said it so emotionally, everything was silent and glued to Sarah.
"Why...? why did you do that to me? what's wrong with me until you have to do something that bad to me?" sarah asked with a voice that started to sound hoarse, Arthur and Julius heard her sigh almost simultaneously.
Long harbored all his feelings, finally making Sarah unable to hold back emotions and questions - questions that had been disturbing his life just stuck in his mind. Sarah with a heart wound blew everything in front of the people who were there.
"Did Jessica take good care of you?" asked Arthur in a flat tone as if not provoked Sarah's emotions, Arthur's question made Sarah a little confused.
"Sure.. mama took good care of me and lovingly, you didn't take care of me.." not yet finished Sarah said, Arthur cut.
"I asked Julius to keep you away from the Gates family so that you wouldn't be contaminated with our thoughts, I want you to be able to grow and develop like an ordinary person but for your sake I continue to monitor and intimidate Jessica so that she does not let your guard down when educating you" Arthur said firmly, Sarah was again confused by Arthur's words.
"What...you mean?" ask Sarah a little
"Me and Julius have made a big mistake that makes it difficult for us to trust people, live in fear and find peace. If you're here then you'll grow up with all the ugliness of our thinking, which is why my replacement candidate only has you and Jester" Arthur replied firmly, saying, Arthur took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly before continuing his sentence as if strengthening his heart to say something.
"Jessica educated you in a good way, you were taught to make friends and to keep fighting. Trusting each other and working together, you'll never find it in the Gates family. Because that's also why I admit my defeat, you and Jester have worked together very well" said Arthur and then pat his hand, not long two people entered the room.
The two people who entered were Jeremy and Burgess, with their heads bowed, both terrified to be in the room, but they both continued to walk to the right side of Arthur and looked at Sarah. Jester, Naomi, Sarah, William, Andrews and Phillips compactly stared at Jeremy and Burgess, getting such gazes further making Jeremy and Burgess sweat from distress.
"They are the economists and businesses I've appointed to defeat Jester, but I didn't expect that you decided to cooperate with Jester and that Julius' betrayal was the main factor in my defeat" Arthur said as Jeremy and Burgess stood near Arthur
"Tu. wait! you can't do that to her!" somewhat snapping Sarah said it, Sarah's words caught the attention of Arthur, Julius, Jeremy and Burgess.
Jeremy and Burgess are shocked at Sarah's request that Arthur not fire her, during this time they were commissioned by Arthur to spy on Arielle Corp so as not to become the number one company that is able to destroy the Gates Family Group. But Jeremy and Burgess sincerely and happily teach good business to Sarah considering Sarah is one of the grandchildren of Arthur Gates.
"Why?" asked Arthur in surprise
"They are my mentors in the business world, I already consider them as my teachers, so please let them work for you" Sarah replied.
"People who fail to do their duty must be removed, there is no tolerance for it" Arthur said, but with a frown Sarah seemed unable to accept Arthur's words.
"They're going to keep working for the Gates Family Group" Jester said, arriving, Jester's words surprised everyone.
"Jester, what do you mean?" ask Naomi who was surprised by Jester's apron
"I'm the president, so fired or not that's my right, isn't it grandpa?" jester asked a little bit of Arthur
"Why keep a useless person like this?" ask Arthur
"The defeat of Jeremy and Mr. Burgess is not purely because of me, but there is help and intrigue in it. It's not fair to blame them and say they're both useless" Jester replied confidently
"That's why I made you stay away from us Sarah... Jester.." chirped Arthur when he heard the words of Jester, everything was again astonished by the words of Arthur.
"What do you mean?" sarah asked confused
"You both have empathy for others that is difficult for us to feel" Arthur replied, standing up from his seat to leave the place.
"I trust this great family in the hands of both of you" Arthur said as he walked to the exit with Julius behind him
"What if one day we betray you?" ask Sarah before Arthur and Julius leave the room, Arthur and Julius stop their steps for a moment.
"Trusting you is my decision and proving I was wrong is your choice" Arthur replied firmly and then walked back out of the room until Jester, Naomi, Sarah, William, Andrews, Phillips were left, Jeremy and Burgess.
Letting Arthur and Julius pass, all that remained in the room began a meeting on the determination of Julius' successor. Jester with his new status started the meeting well and was a little serious which Naomi noticed with a proud look in her eyes.
"So who would you choose to replace Julius?" ask Phillips to Jester
"I still don't know uncle, can you give me an idea?" jester asked back to answer Phillips' question, suddenly Andrews and Phillips laughed out loud to make Jester and William surprised.
"Why laugh?" jester asked in surprise, arriving Andrews and Phillips stood up and walked up to Jester and then embraced him.
"Why are you confused? all this time, wasn't William the one who accompanied you?" ask Andrews to Jester
"Just pick him up and get us out of this golden cage" Phillips agreed with Andrews, hearing that upset William.
"Have a son!! I also don't want to do this job and want to live as freely as before!!" william snapped so angry, but suddenly Jester, Andrews and Phillips looked at William with their respective sneaky smiles.
"Hey... You guys aren't serious, are you?" william asked in fear
"I've decided" Jester said
There was a commotion because William did not accept Jester asking William to take up the task as Jester's right hand, but the support of Andrews and Phillips made it harder for William to refuse. The four of them were involved in a jotos and banting to vent their respective frustrations, with a face of disbelief and a heavy smile, Naomi stared at three middle-aged and one president who acted like a child.
The closeness of the old three brothers is not seen again intertwined with joy and warmth even though wrapped with a little scene that is not beautiful to see for some who are there, but that is how Andrews should be, Willam and Philips had a close relationship before it had to end since William's departure from the Gates family residence.
While Sarah suddenly ran to the door where Arthur and Julius came out of the room until one of the corridors of the house, Sarah saw Arthur and Julius walking down the corridor of the house. Feeling someone following behind makes Arthur and Julius look back, see Sarah who ran after them finally both turned around waiting for Sarah to run closer.
"What's the matter young Miss Gates?" arthur asked when Sarah was right in front of Arthur and Julius, Sarah set her breath gasping with fatigue after running after Arthur and Julius.
"Don't call by that name, I'm just curious about everything. Tell me about what really happened" Sarah replied with a gasping breath
"Sure, I'll tell you everything. Come here, follow us to find a comfortable place to talk to young Miss Gates" Arthur asked as he turned around to walk somewhere, Sarah followed Arthur with Julius behind.
