The Paris Open Cinema
In a bright morning in the sky of Paris, France, Jester awakens from his sleep in a hotel room. After a day of sadness, follow Luna's request to sing the last song she should have sung on the talent show, and capture the moment where he accompanied Luna singing with a song that touched Jester's heart. Jester's eyes were still visible as he stared at the curtains of the room that covered the sun, his hands felt the mattress looking for his cellphone. When the phone he managed to reach, he immediately returned to play the video recording as Luna sang.
Pensive Jester stared at the screen phone, his ears were busy listening to the sound of Luna, the scene when Jester stopped playing the guitar because his fingers were no longer able to pluck the guitar strings made him daydream. The daydream stopped instantly when the sound of the knock on the door of the room was heard, slowly Jester got up from the mattress and walked to open the door. Shocked by Jester when she saw the person knocking on her door that morning, Naomi with her flat face looked at Jester.
"For Jess.." there was fear when Naomi said that.
"Why... are you here...?" jester asked stammeredly as he still could not believe Naomi coming to Paris unannounced, Naomi sighed for a moment before responding to Jester's question.
"Selena... I can't stand it, she said she would do anything to catch up with Luna, you know their bond is very strong" naomi replies trying to explain to Jester so that Jester doesn't misunderstand her presence there
"But... Luna wants to.." Unfinished Jester said Naomi cut
"We will not interfere with the plans of the two of you, you and Luna can continue with your plans and do not think of us" Naomi said calmly, Jester looked at Naomi with a guilty look. However, Jester felt that he was having an affair openly - explained in front of Naomi, the feeling that made it difficult for him to behave normally.
"Why? I'm fine, I'm just worried about you, all worried about your situation.at least, let me be by your side.." full of worries Naomi said, at least, Jester can't seem to say anything to answer Naomi's concerns.
"Are you the same as anyone here?" ask Jester
"I, Selena, Luna's parents, Luke, Harry, Justin and Grece, they are currently visiting Luna at the hospital with papa" Naomi replied, Jester invited Naomi into the room with a gesture of his hand.
After Naomi stepped into the room, Jester slowly closed the door. In the room Naomi immediately walked up to the mattress, there Naomi stared at the screen of the Jester mobile phone that was still lit with a paused video. Slowly Naomi's hand took the phone and played the recording, at that time Jester just fell silent staring at Naomi who was stunned at Jester's cellphone. In the middle of the video, Naomi's eyes turned to look at Jester with eyes full of sadness, got a look like it made Jester throw away because he could not look at Naomi's face.
"You.... Is it okay...?" naomi's question sounded sad, Naomi's question made Jester surprised to make her look back at Naomi. A question that Jester did not expect, there was no jealousy from Naomi after seeing the video.
"What?" ask Jester back because he did not believe what he had just heard from Naomi's lips, slowly Naomi walked closer to Jester and gently rubbed Jester's cheeks full of tenderness.
"I said.. Are you okay?" Naomi repeated her question with a feeling of worry, the question made Jester stare silently in Naomi's eyes.
"You look shaky... until you can't keep playing your guitar.. Your heart must be hurting right now? are you really as good as you told me?" Naomi asked again because Jester was silent
"I am.. okay Naomi.." replied Jester stammered.
"If your heart is tired, you must not continue to fight alone.Look back to me, rest and go home for a moment" Naomi said, hearing Naomi's words made Jester unable to bear the burden of her heart. Jester hugged Naomi so tightly but remained without a word, although Jester did not say anything at the time but Naomi understood Jester was tired.
Accompanying the more silent Jester than usual, Naomi lets the head-dropping Jester in her lap. Naomi understands this hard for Jester, all Naomi can do is accompany Jester until Jester is ready to drive her to the hospital to meet Luna. Naomi was eager to meet and know firsthand the situation of Luna, until suddenly Jester began to look prepared and accept Naomi's request to meet with Luna.
At this time Naomi was a little relieved, because she could feel Jester slightly unwind her heart even without many words. Through a journey that was not too long, they arrived at the hospital where Luna was treated. They immediately set foot into Luna's room. Opening the door slowly, Naomi's gaze focused on Luna with her hairless appearance, pale white face and slightly dark-looking eye bags. With the assistance of Luna's parents, Selena, Justin and Grece, Luna's spiritful voice broke Naomi's ice that was still standing at the door of Luna's nursery as if it was hard to step inside.
"Naomi~! I kangen~" Luna's voice instantly made Naomi's cry break, a jolly, feisty figure who had just stolen Naomi's heart as a best friend should she see in a state of concern. But Naomi tried to toughen up, in order to bring a smile to Luna.
"Chealing quickly yes." said Naomi seemed to try her hardest to hold back her crying, Luna nodded several times responding to Naomi's words and still smiled.
"Where are you? what's better?" naomi asked and walked up to Luna and grabbed one of her hands.
"I feel healthier and more energetic, the treatment here is better than the hospital I was in. Unfortunately sometimes I don't understand what the nurses and doctors say, so I just bawl when they talk to me" with a little laugh Luna said, but Luna's laughter at that time can't Naomi reply.
"Luna... It's a summer open cinema schedule and venue, not far from here but.... You really want to go today?" selena asked while handing over her phone to Luna, hearing Selena's words made Jester and Naomi surprised. Jhon and Lisa also look worried to hear Selena's words, seeing the condition of Luna like that makes their feelings as parents torn - shredded.
"Huh?! can't!! you're still sick" Naomi said angrily, but Naomi's anger was avenged with a small laugh from Luna's lips.
"I have the doctor's permission and the doctor allows it" sounding happy and without burden Luna said it, Naomi and Jester also showed a face that did not believe Luna's words.
"I'm going to see a doctor" Jester said as he walked out of the room, outside the room as Jester passed William, Luke and Harry.
"Hey Jester, where are you going?" ask Harry
"I want to see a doctor, Luna said she got permission to come to an open-air cinema festival today" replied Jester, hearing Jester's answer make Harry look at William.
"Well it's true that Luna said, she got special permission to do it" William's timpal sounded calm without any burden, Jester frowned looking at William.
"Why did the doctor give him permission? is it not an act." Unfinished Jester said, William cut.
"Doctors say the only miracle for Luna to heal is only her own mind? if Luna's life spirit is high, it is not impossible that she can get through her critical period. It is outside of the scientific thing but does not mean it can be underestimated" William's timpal, stunned Jester looked at William.
"I'm afraid things are getting worse.." Jester said.
"Everything was prepared together with the nursing team, he will go to the destination with a special wheelchair that carries several infusions and other small medical devices" harry said assuring Jester that everything would be fine, Luke walked up to Jester and patted him quite hard on the shoulder.
"Luna entrusted her dream to you, you must be able to answer the request well" Luke said, Jester just sighed to respond to Luke's words and then turned to go back into Luna's room. In the room Luna looked at Jester with a smile, she gave a gesture so that Jester approached to gather with Naomi, the parents of Luna, Justin, Grece and Selena who still looked sad and even shed tears.
Hearing Luna's words made them all start to force themselves to smile, seeing Naomi, Selena and Grece wiping away the rest of her tears. They all realized that what Luna wanted was a happy atmosphere to increase Luna's spirit in living her day - her day, slowly all of them started staring at each other and suddenly - suddenly Naomi's little laugh was heard.
"That's the worst smile I've ever seen from you, Selena" Naomi chirped with a small audible laugh
"You have to read and look at your fake smile before insinuating someone" Selena replied sounding annoyed
"The two of you should have imitated me, my fake smile remaining as charming as ever" Grece praised himself
"That's worse than what I've shown" Naomi and Selena said the same thing simultaneously, Justin laughed hearing Naomi and Selena compactly taunting Grece.
When the warm and joking atmosphere was created, they accompanied Luna with many silly and funny stories in hopes of giving happiness to Luna. Luna's parents were so moved by her daughter's friendship, they shared a moment of togetherness with Luna's friends with a sincere smile so that their daughter felt happiness in her current condition. Feeling the pleasant atmosphere of the place that woke up suddenly made Jester realize that he was unable to make Luna happy with his own efforts, the gathering of friends at that time made Jester feel stupid not to rely on his friends from the beginning.
Not feeling dusk arrived, Luna was seen sitting in a wheelchair with several medical devices attached to her body and became one unit with the wheelchair. Jester stands ready to push Luna to the venue for the open cinema festival, while Jester looks at Naomi, Selena, Luna's parents, Justin and Grece just silent at the main door of the hospital.
"You guys.. don't come?" jester asked in surprise, Jester's question made Luna look back at her friends and parents.
"No, I'm a little tired, I feel jet lag" Naomi replied as she stared at her friends.
"It's okay if you want to come, besides you are also far away here" said Luna
"Aahs... Eeh.. that.." It's not finished yet Naomi spoke, Luke cut.
"Mr Will invites you to have dinner together at one of his friend's restaurants, especially for Jester and Luna you just continue your event" luke's timpal who suddenly appeared behind Naomi while walking closer to them all, their eyes were all distorted to look at Luke.
"Then let's go to papa, Jess be careful and Luna you don't push yourself" said Naomi and then walked to pull Selena and Grece who had been standing next to Naomi, as if realizing what they had to do at that time, Luna's parents, and Justin followed behind Naomi.
"Jess do what you have to do" Luke chirped and walked after Naomi, after a long walk Luna turned her eyes to look at Jester behind her.
"They're all why?" asked Luna sounding confused, Jester looked at Luna and smiled.
"They... give time for us both to finish your dreams, we leave?" sounding happy Jester said it, Luna smiled then looked ahead.
"AYoo off!!" excited Luna said it, Jester also pushed the wheelchair towards the venue for the open-air cinema.
Eagerly Jester stepped out his legs and pushed the wheelchair that Luna was sitting in with her face sparkling as if showing happiness and cheerfulness. During the trip Luna looks very enthusiastic and happy to see around her, biased - biased lights and street makes Luna look very happy. Their journey was filled with pleasant chatter, occasionally Luna made jokes that made Jester laugh and vice versa. Until a while passed, Jester and Luna arrived at the intended place with a slight delay because the film had already begun.
Jester looked for the edge seat to stay close to Luna who remained in her wheelchair, after getting the place that they think is most comfortable at that time Jester and Luna began to enjoy the movie that was playing. With the comedy genre that was playing at the time, Luna laughed occasionally carried the humor of the film she watched. Seeing Luna's laughter made even Jester pensively look at Luna's face, he was astonished by the attitude shown by Luna as if nothing had happened to him. Feeling noticed made Luna turn her eyes to look at Jester, for a moment Jester and Luna's eyes met but still silent for a while.
"Why brother?" asked Luna with a face that looked curious, Jester also lowered his gaze.
"Why... do you look like everything's okay? your laughing voice.your smile...if only the doctor did not explain everything that happened to you, I will not believe all your stories.." said Jester stammered and sounded sad, Luna looked back at the screen then took her breath in deep and exhaled slowly.
"I can't possibly survive." Luna said, Jester cut in anger.
"Luna! what - what the hell are you saying?!" somewhat snapping at Jester saying so, Luna turned her eyes again to look at Jester.
"I know the most about my body. I will not survive, brother. but, I want to keep smiling until the time comes so that... you will only remember me smiling" said Luna to make Jester jerk, Jester throw away face avoid looking at Luna face.
"Sir Jester.." luna said softly, Jester looked back at Luna.
"please forget about me, ever since I learned of this illness, I have considered myself never to exist in the world.so forget me.." smiled Luna as she said.
"You... want to get away from me again in the same way?! you want me to hate you again after what we just went through?! what do you think I am?!" jester sounded angry saying so, but Jester's anger at that time did not spit out Luna's smile at all.
"About my relationships with everyone other than my family, all of that is in the shadows in my head, liked or hated it all just exists in my imagination. I planned to live alone since I knew I was sick, but in the end I couldn't even live alone. I just realized it turns out that humans are not able to live alone when I'm at the end of my age, I feel stupid because of that" replied Luna and then looked back at the screen in front of her, a moment later, Luna was heard sighing.
"I'm sorry to ask you to forget me. I'm just confused as to how I should behave in front of you sister.." luna sounded remorseful.
"I don't want to hear you say it again" Jester said firmly
"As soon as I thought about death." chirped Luna again, the words of Luna again made Jester jerked.
"Luna!!" snapped at Jester, Luna slowly looked at Jester with her smile.
"I think that man has two deaths, the first death when the breath has stopped and the second death when man has been forgotten and his name has never been mentioned. I want to die in a state of being remembered by many people, that's why I want to become a famous singer whose work continues to be heard by people. But now I just want you, my parents, Naomi, Selena, Justin's sister, Luke's sister, Harry's sister and Grece who keep remembering me." Luna's tears trickled down when she said it, but his smile really never let go of his face.
"Sister... will you forget me when I die? I'm afraid.... I'm afraid to be alone... lonely....... will you all soon forget me..?" asked Luna so bitterly
