Suddenly, a dog came to bring her thread. The dog was named Tumang. Dayang Sumbi was forced to fulfill his promise. They also married. As it turns out, the Tumang is a drop of a god who was cursed to become an animal and banished to Earth.
Time passed, Dayang Sumbi was pregnant and gave birth to a handsome boy named Sangkuriang. One day, Dayang Sumbi told Sangkuriang to hunt for a deer heart. Sangkuriang also went to the forest accompanied by the Tumang.
After hunting all day, Sangkuriang did not get a deer. la also upset, because the Tumang did not help him hunt. Sangkuriang was angry, then shot Tumang, so the dog died. Sangkuriang took Tumang's heart and brought him home.
Dayang Sumbi did not believe that the heart his son carried was the heart of a deer. Finally, Sangkuriang admitted that the heart he carried was the heart of the Tumang. How angry Dayang Sumbi, he unconsciously hit the dipper he held Sangkuriang head to cause marks on the child's head.
Sangkuriang was upset, then left the house. Dayang Sumbi regretted his actions. With sadness, he isolated himself. Her sincerity in asceticism, made the gods bestow her with eternal beauty.
Years changed years. Sangkuriang grew up to be a handsome and dashing young man, besides he also has various magic because he studied with some magic ascetics. One day, while wandering, he came to a place and met a beautiful and charming girl. They fall in love without knowing that they are mother and son. Sangkuriang was about to ask for it.
Dayang Sumbi immediately made sense to thwart his marriage. la put forward requirements, namely damming the Citarum River and making a large canoe. Both conditions must be completed before dawn. Sangkuriang.
Sangkuriang also asked the help of supernatural beings to complete the task. Before dawn broke, Sangkuriang had almost completed that requirement. Dayang Sumbi panicked. la asked the village women to pound the rice. The rooster crowed, thinking the dawn had come. The supernatural beings who came to help Sangkuriang were terrified.
Sangkuriang was very upset. His efforts failed already. Angrily he broke down the embankment that he had almost finished making. As a result, there was a flood that hit the entire village.
The sampan that had also become he kicked, so that it was thrown far and upside down. The large sampan was eventually transformed into a mountain which was later named Mount Tangkuban Parahu which means boat upside down.
