The Bitter Tongue
In the past in South Sumatra precisely in the Sumidang area there was a large kingdom. In the Kingdom lived a prince named Serunting. la has a nature of envy towards what others have. Prince Serunting has a wife.his wife has a sister named Aria Tebing, who is now the sister-in-law of Prince Serunting.
Serunting and Aria Tebing each have fields, their fields are located next to each other which are only separated by trees. And under the trees grew a mushroom. However, the mushroom that grew it produced a much different thing. If observed Mushrooms facing the fields belonging to Aria Tebing grow into gold metal.
While the mushrooms facing towards the fields owned by Serunting grow into parasitic plants useless plants.
Knowing this, Serunting became envious of Aria Tebing, every day she continued to have bad thoughts on her sister-in-law, “Mildew facing my field grows into a useless plant, while the one facing the fields belonging to Aria Tebing grew into gold metal. I'm sure, this must be Aria Tebing”.
The next day, Serunting approached Aria Tebing with a feeling of resentment and anger, he then invited Aria Tebing to a duel. “You cheated on me! I challenge you to a duel tomorrow!!” serunting.
“But, but I never cheated,” said Aria Cliff. Serunting did not care about it, he still challenged him to a duel. Aria Tebing was confused. she knew that her brother-in-law was a powerful person, after a long time of thinking, Aria Tebing finally got the idea.
he then recounted the incident and persuaded his biological brother who was none other than the wife of the serunting to tell the secret of Serunting's weakness.

Serunting that his wife was the one who told Aria Tebing about her weakness, feeling betrayed finally Serunting went wandering, he was imprisoned in Guning Siguntang.
“I want that magical power, O Hyang Mahameru, I want that power,” Serunting replied.
“But, there is one condition that you must ascend under a bamboo tree. After your body is covered by the leaves of the bamboo tree, then you managed to get that power,” said Hyang Mahameru.
Two years passed, Serunting was still imprisoned, finally the leaves of the bamboo tree had covered it. Now he has the power that every word that comes out of his mouth will become a reality and a curse.
One day, he intends to return to his hometown, in Sumidang. On his journey, he cursed all the sugarcane trees to stone. “Hai cane tree, be Stone,” he shouted loudly. And in an instant, the sugarcane trees became stone. Then along the banks of the Iambi River, he again cursed everyone he met to stone.
Serunting became arrogant and arrogant. Finally people nicknamed him with the name Si Pahit Lidah. But when Serunting arrived at a barren Bukit Serut, he began to realize his mistake. Then he turned Bukit Serut into a wood forest. In an instant the hill was turned into a wood forest until the local people thanked him because the hill had become a wood forest that would produce abundant wood products and be sold in the market to meet the needs lived.
Then he continued his journey and arrived at Karang Agung Village. Serunting looked at the old hut inhabited by elderly husbands and wives. Serunting came to an old old couple's husband and wife. Serunting pretending to ask for a sip of drinking water.
My grandparents were very friendly and kind. It turns out that they have long wanted to have a child to help them work. Serunting granted it.
When he saw a piece of hair that fell out attached to the clothes of the grandmother, Serunting took it and turned the hair into a baby. The old couple was happy and thanked Serunting.
Happy can help others. In the rest of his journey, Serunting learned to help and try to help people in trouble. But even though the sentence that came out of his mouth was a good sentence and to help people in need, still people still nicknamed him by the name of the Bitter Tongue.
