The Pitung Jagoan Betawi

In the past. In the area of West Jakarta, precisely in Rawabelong, there lived a couple with a son. The boy was named Pitung.

Since Pitung was a child, they really hope that the child only wayangnya grow into a good and righteous child. Therefore, Pitung schooled in pesantren belonging to a naji teacher named Haji Naipin.

One day, his Babeh told Pitung to sell two Goats to Tanah Abang market.

‘’ Pitung, Babeh Body feels bad. Lo help babeh sell these goats to the market?’’ father says.

In the Haji Naipin boarding school, Pitung is taught teaching, reading, writing, arithmetic, and martial arts. Pitung is very clever. He was one of Haji Naipin's favorite and proud students. After learning enough, Pitung returned home. Both of his parents welcomed Pitung's return with great pleasure. It looks like it's cooking a really delicious meal. Pitung ate the dish with gourmand. Understandably, during the pesantren he used to eat potluck.

While at home, Pitung is very diligent in helping parents. She is the goat of her babehnya. Every morning he always herded the goats into a hilly area that had a lot of grass. Goats are allowed to eat until their stomachs are full. After sunset, he went home.

The life of Pitung is very simple. Babenya has no steady job. Usually he comes to the fields of people and buys fruits that are still half-ripe. The purchase price is cheaper. Then, the fruit is squeezed. Once mature, it is sold to the market at a higher price.

Go Pitung to Tanah Abang while herding two Goats that will be sold. Goat carried by Pitung, a healthy and fat goat. The buyers are interested in the Pitung goats. No need to wait long. Both goats were sold. Pitung was very happy. Money from selling goats put in his pants pocket, he rushed home. However, in the middle of the road he meets a bunch of thugs.

‘’ Hey, where are you going?’’ Ask one of them.

‘’ Want to go home, Bang?’’ reply Pitung casually.

‘’ Where is home lo?’’ ask again while reaching into the bag of Pitung pants.

‘’ Yes already, go home there.’’ Said the thug

Pitung will be home soon. Pitung is not aware that the money in his pocket is the result of selling Goats, it was already taken by the thugs. When Pitung was almost home, Pitung reached his pocket to spend the money from selling his goats to hand over to his babehya. However, the money does not exist.

Pitung remembered when he met with thugs, and was invited to chat. One of the thugs took his money from his pants.

‘’ Ah, so stupid I am. Sampe did not realize the thugs were talking. Pitung said regretfully.

Pitung then returned to his meeting place with the thugs. The thugs don't want to admit they took the money. They constantly argue. Finally, Pitung took out his martial will. The knowledge he got from Haji Naipin was very useful at a time like this. The thugs finally gave up and returned the Pitung money. They then ran away scared.

The leader of the gang of thugs named Rais, was very amazed by the greatness of martial arts that Pitung had. Then, the leader of the thugs found out where Pitung lived and came to him. Rais intends to invite Pitung to join him to pickpocket in the market. Pitung was very surprised and immediately refused. The knowledge he got from the pesantren did such an unworthy deed.

Pitung even gave advice to them to no longer do evil to others. He advised them to help people in distress. They're confused. How to help the difficult people. They are living and lacking.

Pitung looking for ways. Finally, Pitung got the idea. He and the gang of thugs will pickpocket and rob the rich arrogant. They will give it to those in need.

Since Pitung and his friends began to act, the poor are very happy and happy. Their lives have changed for a little better. Although Pitung was a savior for the poor, he was still considered to do bad deeds.The Dutch company at that time in power in Jakarta tried to catch Pitung.

One day while in action, Pitung was caught. He was thrown in jail. However, Pitung managed to escape by climbing the roof of the prison. When he escaped from prison, he was known by the police and had pursued him and shot him. But because the talisman makes the body immune, his body can not be penetrated by bullets.

Pitung flees and becomes a police fugitive. The police are looking everywhere. His family was also the target of the search for Pitung. So did his teacher, Haji Naipin. He was even forced to tell Pitung's weakness. Haji Naipin finally told Pitung's weakness, which was thrown with a Foul Egg. The Police are looking for Pitung to various parts of Jakarta. Based on their investigation, Pitung hid in his lover's house in Bamboo City.

When attacked Pitung still trying to fight. The police know his weakness. They immediately threw Pitung with a Foul Egg into Pitung's body. When he started to feel helpless, the police shot him. Pitung was finally dead.

Some people, especially the poor, Pitung is known as a Hero. Those who had been helped by Pitung remembered his services. However, Pitung is still considered a criminal for helping people with acts that are not commendable.
