In ancient times, there lived a wonderful child. This filiality made an evil bewitch envious. The evil witch bewitched the child, so that his body was covered in wounds with a very pungent smell. New wounds will appear once old wounds start to dry up. The condition of his body, no one wants to be in contact with him. Let alone be respectful, just close to people do not want to. They are afraid of getting infected.


One day, the boy dreamed that an old woman could cure him of his illness. He went looking for the old woman in his dream. In every village he went to, he was always rejected by the people. They were disgusted and threw this child away.


Finally, he arrived at a village where most of the population were arrogant people. There are not many poor people in the village. They will be expelled or made uncomfortable if they live there. This is touching the heart of this little boy.


At a party held in the village, this little boy managed to enter. However, the people immediately kicked him out and berated him. He was immediately dragged out.


When dragged, he advised the people to pay more attention to people who do not have. Hearing the child's words, some people grew angry, even spit at him while saying, β€œBas with the son of the devil, such a bad boy!”


The child was hurt by the treatment of these people. Then, he stuck a lid on the ground don said, β€œNone of you can pull this lid off the ground, only I can do it!”


People doubted the words of the child. They also tried to remove the lidi. But no one can do it. Within a few days, the lidi could not be uprooted. One day, secretly, the boy came and pulled the lid. Unbeknownst to him, there was a citizen who saw it and reported it to other residents.


From where the lid was plucked, springs flowed. The longer, the water gets bigger. Water drowned the area, so that it became a lake that is now called Telaga Swamp Pening.


No one survived the disaster unless a kind old woman gave him shelter and took care of him. Miraculously the boy's skin disease was cured.


However, the evil witch who had bewitched the child did not accept the healing. Then, he bewitched the boy into a big snake with a clapper necklace around his neck.


That said, this snake often comes out of its nest at midnight. Every time he moved, the clang of the necklace around his neck always rang clang-clangling. This sound then makes it called Baru Klinting.


The appearance of the snake was believed to be a lucky tando for fishermen who did not get fish.
