Crying Stone

A long time ago, on a hill far from the countryside. There lived a poor widow with her daughter. His daughter from the Widow is very beautiful, she always boasts of the beauty she has. However, her beauty was not the same as the nature she had. He was very lazy and never helped his mother.

Besides being lazy, he was also very spoiled. Everything he wanted had to be done. Without thinking their condition is poor, and mothers who have to slam bones even though often sickly. Every time his mother took him to the fields, he always refused.

One day, his mother took his son to the market. The market distance from their house was very far, to get to the market they had to walk and make his daughter exhausted. However, his son walked in front of his mother and wore very nice clothes. Everyone who saw her was instantly fascinated and admired her beauty, while her mother walked behind carrying a shopping cart, dressed very decently like a maid.

Because of the location of their home away from society, their lives no one knows. Finally, they entered the village, all eyes on the beauty of the widow's daughter. Many young men came up to him and looked at his face. However, the villagers were very curious, who was the old woman behind him.

‘’ Hi, pretty girl! Who is the old woman behind you? Is she your mother?’’ Ask a young man.

‘’ Of course not, he is just a helper!.’’ Answer with cynicism.

Throughout the journey every met with the villagers, they always asked the same thing. However, he continued to answer that his mother was his maid. Her mother was treated as a maid.

At first, the mother could still hold back, whenever she heard the answer from her own biological daughter. However, hearing it over and over again and the answer was so heartbreaking, the mother suddenly stopped, and sat by the side of the road with tears.

‘’ Mom, why stop in the middle of the road? Let's continue the journey.’’ Ask his daughter in wonder.

Several times he asked. But his mother did not answer. The mother turned her hands up and prayed. Seeing the strange things his mother did, the child was confused.

The mother still did not answer, and continued her prayer to punish her own daughter.

‘’ O Lord, forgive this weak servant, forgive the servant who cannot educate his own servant's daughter, so that he becomes an ungodly child. Punish this ungodly child.’’ Prayer of the Mother.

Suddenly, the sky became cloudy and dark, lightning began to strike and rain fell. Slowly, his body turned to stone. His legs started to turn into stone and had already reached half of his body. The girl cried for forgiveness from her mother. He felt scared.

‘’ Mom, help me. What happened to my leg? mom forgive me. I promise I'll be a good boy bu’’ cried her daughter in fear.

The girl kept crying and begging. But everything is too late. Punishment cannot be avoided. His entire body slowly turned into stone. The wicked girl just cried and regretted her actions. Before her head turned to stone, the mother still saw her tears coming out. Everyone who was there hurt the incident. The girl's entire body turned to stone.

Even if it becomes a stone. However, looking at his eyes still shed tears like he was crying. Therefore, the people call it the Crying Stone. The crying stone is still there today.
