Good Name Alloy

Once upon a time there was a young man named Lasmudin.

Lasmudin had long liked a woman named Mukdima, the son of Mr. Mukdima.

Lasmudin then asked the smart people if his name with the name Mukdima the idol has a good chorus of names.

The result, according to smart people, is that they have a good chorus of names and will get lucky if married later.

Lasmudin was overjoyed by the clever man's description.

In short, after trying hard, Lasmudin finally managed to marry his idol, Mukdima.

After marriage, they lived in the house of Mukdima's parents.

Lasmudin's parents-in-law were very upset with Lasmudin's attitude, because Lasmudin every day only made dolls out of cloth and hung on his bed, then moved.

After the doll moves, it is laughed at.

Mr. Mukdima called his son. “Nak, your husband is Lasmudin, every day his work only makes dolls of cloth continue to be moved and laugh at themselves. Tell your husband to work to help you weed the grass or weed the plants. He only eats and plays dolls. Usually we run out of three rice dishes, now after the Lasmudin, into four rice dishes.” said Mr. Lasmudin to his son.

Mukdima then went to her husband. “Mas, help your father mow grass or weed plants. Don't just eat and mess around with dolls. Father every day angry, mas Lasmudin work just spent rice.” said Mukdima.

“Already dik, just eat rice plate is not how much. My name and your name are good. Says our guy's gonna get lucky. So no need to work hard. Just play these dolls only.” said Lasmudin casually.

Mukdima then relayed Lasmudin's answer to his father. Kontan, Lasmudin's in-law was furious with Lasmudin's reply.

“Hopefully there was an earthquake and the Lasmudin died exposed to the ruins of the house.” his father-in-law nagged.

Meanwhile in the royal palace, the king's daughter was sick.

The king had brought in many healers to treat his daughter, but his daughter's illness did not heal.

One day the king's daughter dreamed that she saw cute dolls out of cloth.

He asked his father to find the cloth dolls.

“Dad, I dreamed of seeing cute dolls made of cloth. Please get me those dolls Dad.” ask her daughter.

The king immediately ordered his soldiers to search for dolls made of cloth throughout the country.

But no one managed to get it.

A broomsticker came to the king and said that he had seen dolls of the cloth.

The king was happy to hear that.

The king immediately ordered the Patih and the soldiers to deliver the broomstick to where the cloth dolls were located.

Upon arrival at the Lasmudin house, the royal Patih then asked Mr. Mukdima. “Areally here there are dolls of cloth?”

“Oh yes right. The cloth dolls were made by my son-in-law the Lasmudin. Lazy guy. Bring the law to him.” said Mr. Mukdima.

After seeing the dolls belonging to Lasmudin, Patih then ordered the soldiers to bring Lasmudin with his dolls to the royal palace.

“Thankful. Finally the slacker Lasmudin punished the king.” said Mr. Mukdima.

Upon arrival at the palace, Lasmudin's cloth dolls were immediately shown to the princess.

Seeing the dolls, the Princess laughed happily.

Not long after that the princess was sick from her heal.

The king was very happy that his daughter had recovered from her illness.

For the services of Lasmudin, the king then gave Lasmudin gifts in the form of 50 grams of gold, a bag of money, a bag of rice and two sacks of corn.

The soldiers were then told by the king to drive Lasmudin to his house using a palace carriage.

Lasmudin arrived at his house in a palace carriage, escorted by royal soldiers and carrying many gifts from the king.

Lasmudin called his wife and asked her to tell her in-laws that she had come bearing many gifts from the king.

“My wife, tell your father that I came with a lot of gifts of money and gold from king.”

“Dad, my husband has returned from the royal palace with a gift of money and gold.” Mukdima said to his father.

“What? There is no way the lazy Lasmudin got a prize money and gold from the king.” Mukdima's father doesn't believe.

The royal soldiers then dropped all the gifts from the carriage.

Blindfolded Mr. Mukdima saw the gifts.

Finally Mr. Mukdima believes that Lasmudin has luck even though lazy.

Since then Mr. Mukdima has never been angry with Lasmudin again.

Such was the belief of the Madurese at that time, that a good name will bring good luck.
