Cucumber Mas

In a village there lived an old woman named Mbok Yem. He lives a kara. Mbok Yem is eager to have a child, in order to take care of his aging self. However, this was all impossible because she had no husband.

Every day MbokYem goes to the forest to find firewood. One day in the middle of the forest. He met a very scary giant. The giant body was taller than a tree. His skin was full of rough fur. Dark skin. His mouth had a pair of sharp fangs. The nails are long and the counter.

Mbok Yem was terrified. His body trembled to see that enormous creature. The giant said in a very blaring voice,” Hey, old lady? Don't be afraid, I won't eat you. You're too old. Your meat is hard and bad. I came here just to give you something.”

The giant gave me some seeds and said, ” Plant these seeds and take good care of them and you will get everything you wanted all this time, you can't enjoy it alone. You should give it to me as well as a sign of gratitude.”

Mbok Yem just nodded. He went straight home. Setiba Mbok Yem at home, in accordance with the instructions of the giant, planted the seed. Miraculously, the next day, the seeds of the plant had grown into a cucumber plant. Fruits huge. When exposed to sunlight, the color is as bright as gold.

The next day, in the forest, Mbok Yem met again with the Giant said, ” You have got what you wanted all this time. In accordance with your promise, you must share it with me.”

Mbok Yem was confused, he asked, ” How can a baby girl be divided?”

“Not to be confused with old women. You can have it until the age of 17. Up next. That boy will be my meal.” Obviously giant.

“Good. I'll be back in a week. Make sure when I get back he's ready for me to take him to the woods.” Giant words.

” Sorry, Giant sir. Timun Mas is selling wood to the village. If you had come early, you would have met him.” Mbok Yem said

Mbok Yem is increasingly frightened and confused by the threat of the giant. He really did not want his beautiful daughter to be the food of the cruel giant. Seeing his mother's condition. Cucumber Mas said. ” Mother, do not be sad. Relieve me to be that giant meal.” Timun Mas.

“No son. I won't let you fall prey to that evil giant. I will do anything to save you.” Mbok Yem.

Then Mbok Yem went to meet a great grandfather who lived in the mountain. The great-grandfather gave a cucumber seed, a thorn, a grain of salt, and a piece of terasi.

A week later, the giant came again. This time, the giant was already unable to hold back his emotions. His feet were so big, they jolted to the ground that the earth trembled.

“Quick hand over your son or I will destroy the house with you! I'm so hungry!” giant shouting.

” Sorry, Old Giant. My son has walked into the forest. Go back to the forest where you live. Timun Mas is already there.” Mbok said lying.

At that moment. Cucumber Mas already exited the house through the back door. He brought all the things given by the great grandfather of the mountain. When he was about to return to the forest, the giant saw Timun Mas running from behind the house. In pursuit of Timun Mas.

Although panicked. Cucumber Ma still remembers his mother's order to throw a cucumber seed. The cucumber seeds were instantly turned into lading cucumbers with a large fruit. The giant continued to chase Timun Mas despite being exhausted. Cucumber Mas threw a piece of terasi. This time it turned into suction mud. The giant cried out for help as his body was sucked in mud.

The huge giant body was unable to fight against the mud suction due to exhaustion. He also died in the mud. So the story of the evil giant ends. After being freed from the evil giant. Timun Mas and Mbok Yem's lives improved.

Timun Mas met a prince from across the country. The prince fell in love with her. They're married. Timun Mas and Mbok Yem were carried by the prince to his palace. They live happily ever after.
