Apologise

It had been a few days William and Karenina did not meet because of their respective busyness, they only had time to exchange news through a short message. William sometimes wanted to make a video call but Karenina was never willing to make it.

Until this afternoon, William horrendous Dimension with his visit to the office of his lover. Luis, knowing William's arrival to his office, postpones an important event with his family to welcome William when he prepares to return home.

“I'm sorry Mr. William, I didn't know you'd come to my rickety office this”, said Luis welcoming William on the main doorstep with several of his managers and staff.

“No need to hesitate, I just want to know directly from you already how far the project goes”, said William reply stale Luis. William, accompanied by Ryan, walked with Luis and several others to Dimension's main meeting room.

Rendra and his team were already in the meeting room explaining how far their cooperation project had gone, his ears heard but his eyes were fixed on one person he had missed.

Juwita kicked Karenina's leg under the table, she could see William's longing gaze when she saw her friend.

“What the hell, Juwi” whispered Karenina who was upset to see Juwita continue teasing him. The innocent woman thought that William came to her office really to visit as a relation. He looked serious about hearing Rendra's explanation to the higher-ups and did not notice William who kept looking at him.

“You did not see, Mr. William saw you continue”, Juwita whispered again, Karenina immediately looked at William and only realized that from now on William did continue to see him. William smiled warmly at her as their gazes met.

‘Will, don't smile like that to me, I can't keep up with the details of my heart’.

Karenina instead of returning a smile William sighed and coded her to listen to Rendra's explanation seriously. William chuckled, everyone looking towards him. Juwita held back her smile seeing the behavior of William who looks like a person who is really in love drunk.

“I think everything is clear enough, you can give my assistant his recap”, he said stopping Rendra who still continues to explain.

“My goal is not just to hear how far you've been working on the project. I also want to apologize on behalf of S&M for making people misunderstand you. I reiterate once again that Dimension deserves the project and nothing else. So work hard to prove to people that we are not wrong to give the project to you”.

William stood up from his seat and slightly bowed his head, “again I am really sorry”, he said apologizing once again.

Luis stood up quickly and approached him. “It's okay Mr. William, you don't have to come like this. In the business world such a thing happens often”, said Luis who was uncomfortable seeing William Anggoro until he lowered his head in front of many Dimension employees. 

Karenina and Juwita look at each other, for what he apologized, after all, he did not do his wrong.

“Then, may I take my lover away”. Some people link to each other, and some look at each other not understanding. Only Juwita and Ryan smiled at the silliness of William admitting his lover in front of everyone.

What about Karenina, the woman was stunned in her place. In that room there was only her that William had asked to be a lover, and even they had officially become lovers these few weeks so what William meant by lover was her right?

‘This man is completely out of his mind, how could he say that in front of Mr. Luis and the others. Hiks hyks, how do I explain to them later about my relationship with this madman’.

“What he didn't say”, William walked over to Karenina and then grabbed her shoulder, “He's my lover”, he said casually. Karenina looked up at him, the man smilingly grinned making her even more annoyed.

Yoga shook her head, she felt William was so childish as to say Karenina was her lover. It could backfire on Karenina and make people think that there is a reciprocal project.

Ryan bowed politely to Luis and followed William who had gone ahead by pulling his lover's hand. Karenina looked briefly at the shocked faces of the people before finally disappearing behind the door.

Karenina takes William's hand off his shoulder but the man clasps his hand, Karenina glares but William's gaze is straight forward with a cool face typical of William Anggoro.

William sat Karenina in the passenger seat and then in the wake of getting into the car, Ryan drove his car after the two passengers were already sitting comfortably.

“I'm sorry, his words that day must have hurt you terribly kan”, Karenina who was about to explode because of William's behavior in Dimension was silent. He didn't expect William to care about such things.

His heart was a little hurt that day, but what Rudy said was indeed half of the truth if there was indeed an unusual relationship between him and William but now he no longer had a problem with it.

Karenina sighed then leaned her head on the back of the car, “I'm fine, anyway she said also true. Me and you have a relationship, and I have also stopped.” Karenina said, she glanced at Ryan who must have heard what they said.

“Ryan, you can take a cab home kan”, an understanding William drives Ryan away subtly and as a sensitive man Ryan understands that their conversation is a little sensitive and should not be heard.

“Iya, Tuan”, he said marginalize his car. Ryan lowered his head politely and let the two people sit in front. Ryan looked at Karenina's guilty face, he looked down and smiled as if saying I'm okay, enjoy your time as a lover.

The car drove off leaving Ryan alone on the side of the road.

“Didn't you not want to talk about it anymore, why do you always repeat. You forbid me to talk about that problem but you're the one who always says it”. William marginalized the car when it had just driven.

“Let's start everything from scratch, Nina. Although our previous meeting was unusual, let's try to keep it as a good memory that starts our story. We don't need to talk about it anymore but at least we won't forget it”

“I really want to be with you and make you happy, Karenina. So trust me and no longer humble yourself in front of me”.

For the first time since she met William, Karenina felt a warmth flowing within her body. Not only the words William spoke, but also his gentle gaze at her. His hard heart began to be touched, he began to feel the sincerity that William was trying to show from the way he looked at him.

The woman remained silent until William returned to drive his car. He digested in his heart the words William had spoken to him.
