Don't Want to Split

Don't Want to Split
Chapter 9 - Anything For You

Ezra fluttered when he heard Zephaniah invite himself to sit down. This is not what he wanted. Where's the Zephaniah who always adored him? Staring at her lovingly and almost never stopping touching her?

The sweet touch of Zefanya's lips and the warm body of his wife's tiny body as if just a hallucination in the past. Ezra's jaw hardened and both hands clenched at the side of the body, enduring the pain that rained down on the chest.

"Is this how you welcome me who has suffered half a year of living in hell?" hiss Ezra is loaded with emotions.

Again Zephaniah strengthened his heart, removing all pity that gnawed his mind. "I'm just keeping the manners between us. Too much is happening. From Doctor Sandra I know that we're not divorced. And I just found out that to get out of here, I need your signature."

Zephaniah found every word he spoke slowly - the ground made Ezra's countenance change, pias. Zephaniah also prayed in his heart that all this would come to an end, enough that he would hurt the good man before him. He shouldn't have gotten all this.

Seeing that Ezra did not respond, Zefanya continued saying. "That's why I called you and wanted to get things done as soon as possible. I want nothing but my freedom. Other things I've explained in the letter I sent through the lawyer."

Ezra's chest was seen rising and falling rapidly, as if he was holding something that wanted to explode. "For what reason do you want to part with me?" ezra asked, his voice choking.

The Zefanya knitted her fingers together, bracing herself not to faint like before. He has to be strong or Ezra can't possibly let him out of here. Fear begins to ambush Zefanya, but the memory that this divorce is a must makes her feel stronger.

"I know that I can't lie to you, Ez. I honestly have no basis whatsoever for divorcing you." Zefanya finally chose to be straightforward.

Ezra's shoulders decayed, the light in his eyes dimmed. The deep heartache scratched was noticeable in his dark bead of eyes. The words of Zefanya who is, plunged sharply into his heart. Pain.

Refreshing, Zephaniah rose up to Ezra and looked up. Ezra's body was tall and Zefanya only reached the male's shoulder. "I'm sorry. I love you, Ez. Love you so much, don't ever doubt me about it. But I realized I didn't want to get married. I regret being tied up in a marriage. Can I go back to Edinburgh and get on with my life?" zefanya said as calmly as possible. He deliberately used a pleading tone like he used to do every time he wanted something from Ezra.

Ezra stood not far from Zefanya, tracing every inch of his wife's face with a look of disbelief. As much as energy to withstand the overflowing emotions in the chest. Zefanya said she loved him but wanted a divorce. What a contradictory statement. What kind of love wants a farewell?

The man cleared his throat, but his voice still sounded hoarse laden with emotion. "Why?" snarl.

"I'm wrong, Ez. I wrongly decided to marry you and I really regret it. You're not guilty of anything. All your love and treatment for me is the best I have ever had in my life. But I don't deserve to be with you for the rest of your life." He was silent for a moment and whispered in his heart. 'I can't and can't.'

Unable to hold back, Ezra clutched both of Zephaniah's arms. His grip was so tight, describing how hurt he was when he heard Zefanya sayings.

But that's it, Ezra can't say anything. He stared deeply into Zefanya's bead of eyes as if he wanted to pry all the contents of his wife's heart while trying to process all the new information he received.

"I'm sorry for running away. That's all I do because I know that you'll never let me leave you."

"You're right." said Ezra quickly. "After what I've been through all this time, watching you grow from a little girl to a grown woman. For me, what you did was absurd. I know clearly how you can't live without me."

Zefanya took a deep breath and exhaled it. "Thank you for everything you gave me. Honeymoon in the beautiful Maldives. But we have to get back to the fact that I can't be with you anymore."

"NO! STOP IT!"

Ezra roared like a lion in pain, he was angry and did not want to be left this way. The dam he built broke down, tears spilled. Flowing across his face unstoppable. He was not at all ashamed to cry in front of Zefanya. Desperate and do not know how to let Zefanya undo his intentions.

"What's going on? Why are you like this?" whispered with a broken heart.

"none. I just want to divorce you." Zefanya asserted after successfully disposing of her mother's taste.

Ezra shook his head strongly while continuing to mutter no. It's like he lost his mind. In the next second, Ezra pulled up Zefanya's waist and hugged her tightly.

Zefanya trying to rebel. "Deliver! Unhand me!"

"No! No! Never!" Ezra continued to shake his head, locking Zefanya in his arms. So tight that the taste - it felt like fusing himself with Zefanya. "I beg you not to go. Please, stay with me. Whatever the case may be, I promise to find a solution for you. Anything for you, Ma Moitie. Not with divorce."

'Anything for you, Ma Moitie.'

That sentence touched the most sensitive part in Zefanya's heart. He knew Ezra always kept his word. Everything for Zefanya. But the information received before the accident has twisted his world. His body wants to obey his feelings but his logic says that their marriage is a mistake. And, sin.

He could not resist as Ezra pressed his lips against Zefanya's, trying to test the woman's weakness. The Zephaniah just resignedly accepted every confusion, anger and heartache that flowed in every movement of Ezra's lips.

After a long time of shared grief, Ezra let go of Zephaniah's lips and said, "Don't you dare leave me. Free. Because I'm gonna keep looking for you. No matter where you go, I'll find you." threatened Ezra.

Zefanya back in revolt, she should not be swept away in her feelings. As powerful as he was, he warned himself not to be foolish anymore. But Ezra is Ezra. He really did not want to release Zefanya from his embrace.

'Please, Ezra. Being with me, being happy is just an illusion. It will all end in sin.'

Zephaniah started crying. No matter how hard he tried to escape, Ezra was stronger than him. His body began to shake and his knees felt weak.

Exerting all his strength, Zefanya exclaimed, "With or without your permission, I will get out of this place. Tomorrow!"
