Don't Want to Split
Chapter 29 - Let's God Do The Rest

Not knowing where to start, Zefanya sighed a few times. His eyes stared at Dr. Calvin in a frenzy, wondering if it was safe to tell this doctor his greatest secret. After successfully gathering courage, Zefanya began to raise her concerns.

"Will the child of a partner who has the same blood develop the disorder, Doc?"

Doctor Calvin frowned, a little confused by the intent of Zefanya's question.

"You mean Madam?"

"Do our kids have any genetic abnormalities, Doc?"

"From the journals you've seen and throughout the years I've observed, all is well, ma'am. Is there any explanation from me that is poorly understood, Madam?" asked the doctor again with a confused expression.

This great madam Halley is not an arbitrary person, she is one of the best graduates of the top universities in the city. In addition, from the way he asked earlier, how smart the woman in front of him looks. I don't know what made Mr. Halley's wife ask this weird question.

"I'm, um, this is a doctor... Can I ask for the prognosis of my twins?" zefanya asked finally with a little awkwardness.

"Prognosis?" murmured doctor Calvin.

"Yes, doctor. I have to prepare mentally and prepare myself for everything that will happen in front."

"But the condition of your children is really very good, Madam" said Dr. Calvin again.

Prognosis is the prediction of the development of a disease, including whether the signs and symptoms of the disease will improve or worsen. The friendly doctor felt no urgency to make the prognosis on both Halley family twins.

Zefanya gulped, bitter. After first asking Calvin's doctor to promise to keep all his secrets, he sadly recounts the reason why he asked for a prognosis. His voice was stammering as he explained from the beginning, why he was not present at the beginning - the start of the twins' visit at the clinic. He also told me that he had experienced temporary global amnesia and its causes, as well as his relationship with Ezra.

"Right now, I'm really worried about the doctor's twins' health. I think you can understand my feelings, doctor." Zefanya closed in despair. His expression looked like he was about to cry, it was heavy to tell this bitter reality.

Doctor Calvin could not say anything, the smile on his lips faded away. His originally friendly facial expression turned dim. He slowly took a deep breath and exhaled, trying to digest all the information he had just received.

Mr and Mrs Halley are brothers from the same father.

'Yes, God!'

After which, the friendly doctor paused for a moment and looked at the young mother before him with sympathy.

"For the record, the development of the twins is not at all a problem. They've grown so well up to this point, ma'am. And, everything is normal! Hopefully this information can make you feel calmer" he added.

Heart's trimming. The couple married without knowing the terrible reality, in the heart of the doctor, hoping that nothing bad happened to them and their children.

His zefanya folded both hands in front of his chest and closed his eyes. Grateful for everything he heard. A decision was taken at that time, from this moment he will not waste a little time with his children. She will take care of her twins with love and gratitude. As for their future, let God work on them.

Longing for the moment - suddenly bursting from Zephaniah's heart, he rose from his seat after several times thanking Calvin's doctor. His steps felt light when he knew his son and daughter were fine. At least to this day there are no abnormalities.

In front of the practice, Ezra waited patiently for his wife. The man was leaning against the wall with his hands folded in front of his chest. Unknowingly, Zefanya's heart surged in delight. His face looked cheerful and his steps seemed to be about to scatter into Ezra's arms.

Ezra immediately moved from where he stood, ready to welcome his woman into his arms. His hands stretched out, a warm smile began to crack. Unfortunately, Ezra's smile actually made Zefanya aware of her overflowing feelings. She slowed down and restrained herself from throwing her body into her husband's arms.

Ezra's hand only caught his wife's wrist. Emotionlessly, he rubbed his Zefanya skin with his thumb.

"Is there any good news, honey? You look so excited."

"I can't wait to see the twins at home" Zefanya replied slightly evasively. "After months apart from them, I don't want to waste any time. What if our lunch is postponed?"

Ezra squinted his eyes, apparently Zefanya still avoids to linger with him for a long time.

"You don't have to take care of the children completely, I don't want you to be exhausted. Just supervise and organize the servants then they'll do everything for you."

"I'd rather do everything myself." said Zefanya stubbornly.

"Well, if that's what you want."

Ezra exhaled, for the umpteenth time choosing to succumb to this woman he loved.
