Don't Want to Split
Chapter 31 - Possessive

It was as if standing at a crossroads. The logic says that the rejection of his two children is natural because for them he is no more than a stranger. But as a biological mother, Zefanya clearly felt very devastated. He had told Ezra that he did not like children but that was not his true heart. After all, the children were his children with Ezra. How could he not love them?

Understanding his wife's concern, Ezra said in a soft voice.

"Let me calm Louisa down. How about you see Louis, who knows the meal's over. They're both very good at eating, especially Louis."

Sighing, Zefanya nodded sadly. He had no choice but to leave the room and go look for his son. Being in this room and continuing to force her daughter is not a good solution.

'At least Louisa wasn't crying as hard as Louis, wasn't that already a good first step?'

Zefanya entertained herself while heading to Louis's room which was not far there. Upon entering Louis's room, his nanny was cleaning the baby boy and about to put his jumper on his little boy.

Learning from previous experience, Zefanya approached her son with heart.

"Have you finished eating?" zefanya asked half-whispered to Suzzie.

As he was talking, Louis turned to Zephaniah and opened his eyes. His expression was so calm and relaxed, there were no signs of a rampage.

Suzzie nodded. "The young master finished one bowl of apricot and is now ready to drink milk. After that, he will take a nap. Are you going to give him milk?" The babysitter kindly offered to Zefanya. All young children need an approach, the sooner the start will be the better for the inner bond of mother and child.

"If he will, " answered Zefanya doubtfully. He could not face rejection a second time, his heart would break again.

"Let's try, ma'am. Please sit down."

The Zefanya sat on the chair and Suzzie took Louis to the lap of her Mama. The babysitter kept holding Louis's little hand before completely letting go. His mouth kept talking.

"Sir, drink with Mama first... "

"This is young master's mama, she misses you."

Suzzie kept talking as if - would the baby understand it. Louis squirms slightly when Suzzie's hand is first removed, but the nanny swiftly inserts a bottle of s-u-s-u into Louis' mouth. Fortunately, the baby calmed down and started drinking his s-u-s-u while sitting on Zefanya's lap.

"Louis, sweetheart. Mama loves you. " whispered Zefanya softly.

Unexpectedly, the baby drank vigorously while his eyes could not escape from Zefanya like they were recording the woman's face in front of him. Inwardly, Zefanya wished her son could remember her. The first month of the birth of his children, Zefanya always came to the hospital and took them one by one. Sing her lullabies and keep them talking even though the baby can only answer with an eye.

But his closeness to Louis is incomplete without Louisa. She wanted to be with her two children, holding them together. Zefanya got up from her seat while continuing to hold Louis and returned to Louisa's room. In her room, Louisa was drinking milk in her spacious baby box. The baby girl held her own bottle of milk. There was no Ezra there, only his nanny who was cleaning up the rest of the lunch bowl.

"Meilissa."

"Can I help you, ma'am?" the nanny replied.

"Please ask the waiter to bring a mattress and a thick blanket here." Zefanya ordered later.

"Well, madam." said Meilissa who immediately left the room with a questioning expression. What will his employer do.

While waiting, Zefanya approached Louisa and stroked her cheeks affectionately. While the other hand was still holding Louisa. Who would have thought, Louisa reacted with a smile. His mouth removed the pacifier and his left hand reached out to touch his mother's fingers. Zefanya gave her pinky, Louisa immediately grasped it tightly and pulled her pinky closer to her tiny mouth. Maybe he thought Zefanya's pinkie was a pacifier.

"Please, Madam."

Meilissa came back carrying a blanket, behind her were two servants carrying large mattresses into the room.

"Please put the blanket on the chair." Zefanya ordered Meilissa, then she turned to the two maids who were carrying the mat. "And you can put the mattress by the window there. Thanks for the help, you can leave us now" Zefanya said again with a smile.

"O'yeah, Meilissa. Please tell Suzzie that today you are duty free."

Seeing the surprise of his caretaker, Zefanya inevitably had to explain the reason. "Right now I want to reconnect with my children. I need to spend more time with them. I hope you understand."

Meilissa nodded her head in doubt. "I understand, Madam. But we'll be standing by near here. You can call us whenever you need." Meilssa replied reluctantly leaving Louis. He fell in love with that cute little guy.

Zephaniah looked at Meilissa's back as she left Louis' room, wondering if her nanny had already bonded herself with Louis or not. And, if it is true maybe his decision to break the contract is the best.

Feeling free when no one was in the room, Zefanya approached Louis's baby box and placed Louisa beside her twin. For a few minutes, Zefanya looked at her twins with a smile - her own smile. The two babies slept side by side while continuing to drink s-u-s-u.

Zefanya took a blanket placed on the chair and spread it over a wide mattress that had been installed near the window. The mattresses and blankets are thick and the room is carpeted, warm enough for the children to lie down here.

After removing her sweater and footwear, Zefanya moved her babies one by one onto the blanket. He let the twins roll on a soft blanket, then Zefanya go on her stomach there. In this way, there was no longer any boundary between them to interact. She can also kiss and caress the twins without the need to carry them.

"Wow! You guys are so absorbed. Why don't you invite Papa to join you?" greet Ezra in a happy voice from the doorway.
