There's Nothing Better.
"Yes! I-i know. You asked me to sleep and leave this room, right?" sergeant Ezra fast. He must know himself if he does not want to feel hurt again because he was expelled by Zefanya. "All right! I'll follow your wishes."
Ezra turned around and ended their conversation. As Ezra's back disappeared from the door, Zefanya felt strange. She should have been relieved that Ezra had chosen to sleep in the other room, but what happened was that the guilt kept pinning her down. All night she was back to weighing about her divorce. Telling Ezra the real thing and getting divorced is just as bad.
The dawn broke, the storm had subsided and the sky was bright. But the war in Zephaniah's heart had not subsided and his mind still could not decide what was best. Ezra awakens and finds Zefanya's eye bags clearly visible.
Finding the face of the Zefanya kuyu, Ezra immediately decided quickly.
"Breakfast first. After that we will go straight home now. Arriving at the mansion later you must go straight to sleep." said Ezra. He prepared a simple breakfast for the two of them.
This time Zefanya did not argue with Ezra, her eyes felt heavy and her body seemed to float due to lack of sleep. In the mansion many servants will help Ezra to look after the twins even though Zefanya believes Ezra's ability to take care of their two children is beyond doubt. From how to carry, change clothes and diapers deft, even when cleaning the dirt of his two children Ezra did not show the look of disgusted face. Zefanya really lifted her hat against her husband. To him, Ezra was the perfect figure.
Luckily the twins slept the whole way, then Zefanya closed her eyes and rearranged her plan. Ezra did tell him to rest, but he could get the waiter to execute his plan.
Knowing the children slept in separate rooms made Zefanya want to change the arrangement of the rooms. He wanted them all to be in one room, without Ezra of course. It does sound selfish, but there are at least children among them for the rest of the covenant time. After all, she wanted her children to be just like her and her older brother first. They slept together until Louise was about four years old and entering school age.
Another hidden plan is to put the two children in one room then there will be one room to be used more freely by Louise and her child. Then Auntie Laura can also stay in the other room. The more crowded this mansion is, the better it will be for Zefanya. He does not need to constantly interact alone. At least he only needed to hang on for a while waiting for the thirty day to pass. Plan after plan was neatly arranged in Zefanya's head, until she fell asleep and Ezra carried her to the room.
Two hours later, Zefanya woke up. He found the twins had changed their clothes and smelled of soap. The waiter said that Ezra had washed them and now the master was in the study.
After filling his stomach with snacks, Zefanya looked for the butler. The woman was vacuuming the carpet while another waiter was wiping the window glass.
"Joan, I want to change the mood here a little. Can it?" ask Zefanya to the butler. This middle-aged woman had been working in this place since Ezra was a child and she was in charge of every corner of the Halley family mansion.
Joan looked in wonder at Zefanya. "Of course you can, madam. Why not?" He was just a butler, whatever the wishes of the Housewife would have to be obeyed. Moreover, Ezra once told him that Zefanya has the right to make changes wherever he considers necessary.
"Say what we have to do for you, ma'am." asked Joan politely.
"I'm glad you're back, ma'am. Let's hope Mr. Ezra's life returns to normal, I'm so sad to see him devastated when an accident befalls you, ma'am. No one can replace a biological mother, no matter how well a caregiver takes care of them" Joan said.
Zefanya smiled faintly. He could feel where Joan was talking. The gray-haired woman was very affectionate with Ezra and obviously did not like it when she found Zefanya sleeping apart from Ezra. But he only held back because his position was only that of a butler. Zephaniah could not imagine Joan's surprise knowing that she and Ezra were actually brothers. This loyal butler was certainly disappointed when he found out that the great lord he respected had been unfaithful to his wife.
'Oh, God! I really could not uncover this secret.' Inner Zephaniah while looking at Joan and some servants who were working to move the twins' belongings.
By nightfall, the matter of moving the room was finally in order. Zefanya breathed a sigh of relief to see the twins in one room. In this way, the inner bond between the two children is also well established like other twins. He had also finished giving them the s-u-s-u and changed their clothes in nightgowns. Now he covers the twins while patting their backs.
"Sleep my beloved, my love. Mama loves you guys so much." whispered softly.
Two pairs of clear eyes followed every move of Zefanya. Their innocent gazes, sweet smiles and babbles - the chattering coming out of their mouths made Zefanya's feelings bulge. I can't believe she gave birth to these two cute kids, like a miracle.
"Don't you think the same about me, Zie? They are absolutely perfect, the miracle of my life, of our lives." said Ezra knew - knew it was behind Zefanya.
Zefanya. Ezra seemed to be able to read his mind. But from the first time it was so, they were really one thought.
"Ezra." call Zefanya nervous. "I want them to sleep in one room so that their bond is closer to each other. Sorry, I didn't tell you before. If you don't agree, I'll return everything to how it was tomorrow."
"No. No problem, Ma Moitie. You are her mother. You know what's best for them. My brother and I were never one room so we weren't close. Your idea is good too." Ezra agreed to Zefanya's thoughts without a second thought. Their mansion was so large that rooms one with the other were far apart, let alone there were first and second floors that increasingly spaced the residents.
Glad that Ezra was willing to understand his wish, Zefanya told him about her plan regarding the empty room that was not used by her and Louisa. Unknowingly Zefanya excited when talking about the plan to live Auntie Laura and Louise and her son.
Ezra listened carefully, his eyes getting darker and darker. His gaze was fixed on Zefanya's mouth until the young woman's heart began to beat irregularly.
"J-so. lest I get close to your son, I want to... "
"We'll both be on the same floor. If you want to stay on this floor, then I will also move to the same floor!" cut Ezra while holding back emotions. He easily read Zefanya's way of thinking to widen their distance again.
