Don't Want to Split

Don't Want to Split
Chapter 8 - Face Him

"I'll come now!"

Ezra's stern voice made Zefanya shudder in horror. "Don't!" pekik's panicking.

Suddenly the guts arrived, the courage collected hard-earned yawned somewhere.

"Ma moitie?" Ezra sounded begging.

"Don't! Not tonight!" zefanya cried out in tears. He thought that he would be able to face Ezra and speak well. The reality? He's not capable. Feelings rushed at him instantly, panic was afraid, nervous and the greatest was the feeling of not having the heart to hurt his Ezra. The best man he has ever known.

"Zie, I've been waiting for months. Every night, all day long I pray that you say my name. Remembering me. And now, you're telling me to wait?" ezra's protest was full of pain.

Zefanya was stunned, a feeling of guilt surrounded her. "Sorry, Ez. I'm just tired and I think it's better to meet tomorrow" Zefanya said regretfully.

"But I can't wait anymore." Grievous Ezra pilu. "Ma moitie, sleep now if you're tired. I promise I won't bother you. But I'm going to go there right now, just watch you sleep and be good then I'll be very happy. I just want to be in the same room as you. Do you think I'm overreacting?"

Zefanya closed her eyes, feeling the same pain that Ezra felt. Ezra's request is the normal request of a husband who loves his wife. The natural thing. What is unnatural is their relationship and painful reality.

"Alright if that's what you want, Ez." replied Zefanya resignedly, unable to hurt Ezra anymore. The best man he ever knew.

"Thanks, Ma Moitie. I set out immediately." said Ezta quickly as if afraid Zefanya changed her mind.

"Yes" said Zefanya limp. As usual Zefanya could do nothing to fight Ezra. He had his own way of making his Zefanya obey without having to use force. That is why Zephaniah was afraid to face Ezra. With Zefanya limp turn off her phone, her power drained due to the tension she felt.

Now Zefanya is confused. The fear of confronting Ezra and frankly disappeared, and now turned into concern for something else. He said he was tired and Ezra told him to sleep. But how do you sleep if Ezra keeps filling his head like this? How will he be able to rest if Ezra has come and they are in the same room?

Ezra would definitely not be able to resist kissing and hugging her after such a long time of holding back feelings. To be honest, Zefanya feels the same way.

There is no other way, like it or not. Want it or not, Ezra is coming. To avoid things that are not desirable, Zefanya decided the living room as the best choice for her meeting place with Ezra.

Rushing Zefanya went to the bathroom and cleaned herself with warm water. In any case, he didn't want to look ugly in Ezra's eyes. His body was much thinner than before the accident occurred, his cheeks looked thin and his eyes looked sunken. At least Ezra had to see him in a much fresher and healthier state in order to allow himself out of this place.

In front of the glass, Zefanya pecked herself. He will try to look confident when talking to Ezra later. Zefanya deliberately daubed powder and thin makeup to fix his face. Her clever makeup is quite helpful, in an instant her face looks beautiful. Not one bit looks like a hospital patient.

After that, he chose clothes in his closet. Zefanya. Her clothes, skincare and makeup equipment were all complete in her wardrobe. And all because of her husband, Ezra. Not a single bit of Zefanya's personal needs escaped his attention.

After being satisfied with her appearance, Zefanya looked for Sister Yoana in her room. "Suster?"

"Gosh, Mistress. You look so different tonight. I almost don't recognize you."

Zefanya gave a smile, she knew Sister Yoana would not expect that suddenly she would change her appearance tonight. "My husband is coming. I'll meet him in the living room. Can you prepare a drink for her later?"

"What do you want me to prepare, madam?"

Zefanya seemed to think for a moment. "Tea just chamomile." This option tastes better than a cup of coffee or chocolate. Chamomile tea can make them relax and talk more calmly.

Sister Yoana nodded obediently and Zefanya thanked her. Then Zefanya headed to her living room and sat on the sofa near the small closet containing her favorite novels and reading books. You could say this ward is like a second home for Zefanya.

Not wanting to be hit by feelings of panic, Zefanya tried to relax herself by reading the latest fashion magazine there. He flipped through the page without actually seeing the contents. His mind was really disturbed. Just a little step was heard, he would immediately turn his head. Only Sister Yoana came and the janitor.

"Ma Moitie?"

Here goes!

Zefanya's body froze. His breath was stuck in his throat when he heard Ezra's voice calling up close. Ezra suddenly appeared without the sound of footsteps. Ezra's affectionate call to her 'ma moitie' was heart-wrenching. Ezra's sound color is still the same. His tone. His intonation and manner of speaking were still the same as in his memory.

Ezra has not changed.

Still surprised by the presence of Ezra who arrived, Zefanya was only able to see from the corner of his eyes. The figure of the man who was still in his neat suit, looked at him full of longing. She bit her lip, almost midnight and Ezra was still in her office suit. Things that only happen when the man can not sleep because of a lot of thoughts. Only God knows how she wants Zefanya to pour into her husband's warm embrace.

'No! Nah! Don't be like this. You have to throw your feelings away.'

Still in his seat, Zefanya slowly - the ground ventured to stare at Ezra. His head blinked a few times, holding him back so that no tears could be shed. There was pain in his chest when he saw the change that was happening within Ezra. Yesterday Zefanya did not have time to observe, but today she can see clearly how heavy Ezra's days during his illness.

The CEO with thousands of employees under his company looked fragile. His eyes looked at Zefanya unblinking with gloomy eyes. The change was evident in this man who was loved by Zefanya. A fine wrinkle began to curl on Ezra's handsome face, his hair looking longer than Zefanya could remember. And the fine fur on his face was not shaved neatly as usual. Then one more, his body looked even thinner.

Even so, his charm did not fade. Make Zefanya must refrain from falling back in love with the man in front of her. Love will only make things more complicated.

Knowing Ezra for most of his life, Zefanya knew that the man was waiting for her to get up and run into Ezra's arms. Things that Zefanya used to do in the past. At that time Zefanya could never hide her feelings for Ezra. Like an open book, Ezra can read it whenever he wants.

But not this time, with a sound as good as possible Zephaniah invited Ezra to sit down and say,

"I want us to talk about our relationship."
