Don't Want to Split
Chapter 12 - A Breakfast

The smell of fresh air hit Zefanya's nose when Ezra opened the sunroof of his luxury car. It felt like for a long time Zefanya had not breathed this free air. During this time in each breath that feels just a typical hospital smell. Admittedly, the view out here is definitely more beautiful than the white walls of the hospital.

Ezra took his car along a winding road, with trees covering the right and left sides of the road to Ezra's house. Kilometres by kilometers traveled by Ezra at high speed, it is clear how impatient the man was to leave the hospital where Zefanya had been treated so far.

Many times without being prevented, Zefanya's eyes always glanced at Ezra who was in his best condition. So handsome with his hair neatly combed back, his burly arm muscles gripped the steering wheel plus sunglasses perched on his high nose.

Buyar already a plan that has been neatly arranged in his brain. His feelings are falling apart, love and admiration for Ezra begins to leap out of hiding. A taste that was as strong as he could endure, like lava was now bubbling. Slowly - the land heats up, just waiting for time to explode.

'God! This feeling could kill me!' as Zephaniah said to himself.

Zefanya took a deep breath, she sat down with a straight forward gaze. Trying hard to focus attention on the roads they go through so as not to continuously steal a glance towards Ezra. But his eyes really did not want to work well together, the corner of Zefanya's eyes he could still see Ezra's dazzling shadow.

Good Lord! Only a little shadow alone was able to make Zefanta's heart pound.

From behind his sunglasses, Ezra caught Zefanya's movements. A thin smile appeared on his lips, which he quickly removed. It is not time to cheer for a win.

Today Ezra deliberately showed his best performance. The short-sleeved shirt and slim fit pants that always managed to make Zefanya fall in love many times with him. The initial plan worked. The man could see how Zefanya painstakingly threw away her gaze in order to hide the look of amazed eyes that flashed there.

"I want to take you to eat first."

Ezra's call delivered in a soft voice turned out to be very surprising to Zefanya.

"What?!" pekik surprised.

Unknowingly Zefanya closed her eyes. It hasn't been twenty-four hours with Ezra, but it's been excruciating. That handsome face was nearby but he could not look at her with the same love as before. The sturdy body that always shook his heart, now he could no longer hug as he pleased.

"Just have breakfast, Ma Moitie. No need to be that sweet." said Ezra casually as he continued to observe every reaction that appeared on his wife's face.

To Ezra, Zefanya is like an open book. His feelings can easily be read from the look of his face. It was clear that his wife still loved him. Now he just needs to find out why Zefanya died - to deny his feelings.

"I. I'm not hungry." Zefanya said at last, as soon as she found an excuse. He should avoid it as much as possible, or Ezra will easily read his feelings.

"Zie, this is the first time I've wanted to eat after months of waiting for you to come to your senses and remember me back. Don't you sympathize with me just a little?" ezra asked in a pleading tone. He tried to touch Zefanya's heart.

"I've even booked a place at your favorite restaurant. You always love the food and the view. If you are not hungry, you can still enjoy the view. Of course it would be nice to see the scenery outside after months of just looking at the hospital wall" said Ezra, repeating some of the sentences expressed by Zefanya when asking him to leave the hospital.

Zefanya could only sigh slowly, Ezra was absolutely indisputable. Now Zephaniah began to regret having agreed to the thirty-day terms with Ezra. It was like being caught in a game by yourself.

Ezra's possessive behavior like that of a husband makes Zefanya more daunted. Ezra indirectly tells her that she will not be that easy to give up her rights as a husband. And it seems that right now Ezra is trying to conquer his heart again. Really - a scary reality. What if he can't control his feelings anymore?

The waiter came and escorted them to a private room overlooking a small lake with trees around it. After that the waiter let them sit down and poured water. Always knowing what food to order, Ezra had already ordered the menu before they got here. So right now they are just waiting for the food to come.

Zefanya exhales and grabs her glass to reduce tension. He almost spouted water as Ezra's hand grabbed his hand. The long fingers were playing - playing with Zefanya's springy fingers, her thumb rubbed her Zefanya skin gently.

"There's nothing I'm more grateful for than seeing you heal and sitting in front of me, Zie."

The Zefanya pulled her hand, but Ezra grasped it even more firmly, the young lady's heart pounding hard as she looked up.

His mouth was open to protest against Ezra's treatment. But, his eyes met Ezra's dark eyes. At once Zefanya's gaze was filled with a sturdy, broad-brimmed man with broad shoulders with all his masculine appeal.

Zefanya looked down awkwardly, her brain was thinking hard. He has to do something. There was no way he would continue to be at Ezra's house with this kind of situation. Being with Ezra continuously could make it even more difficult to change the way he looked at the man. His feelings should be feelings for friends or family not as men and women anymore.

Only Zephaniah and God alone knew how relieved his heart was when the servant came to deliver the food. After thanking the waiter, Ezra let go of his grasp and started cutting meat for Zefanya.

"There's no need to bother" Zefanya said, preventing Ezra from doing more sweet things to her.

Ezra did not respond. He thrust hotplate with meat that has been cut small - small in front of Zefanya. Ever since, Ezra has always treated her like this.

"Although not hungry, eat as much as you can. I want to see for myself you're completely healed. Your appetite will show whether you are healthy or not" Ezra said with a flat face.

Zefanya admitted that Ezra was really clever. Inevitably he had to eat a lot to prove himself has really recovered.

Unexpectedly, a moment later Zefanya had already enjoyed the dish not even resisting when Ezra added another portion for her. Her husband really knew Zefanya's taste and stomach needs.

A satisfied smile and Ezra's warm gaze returned Zefanya to reality. His little heart screamed again, and he should not enjoy all the sweet treatment of Ezra.

'Stop it now, or you'll get caught up in Ezra's love, Zie.'

Zephaniah gulped, his food was up. He stole a glance at Ezra who was rubbing his mouth with his elegant style, he had also finished eating. A good time to talk, this is the only way to break free a little from Ezra's surveillance.

"Ez, can you grant my request?" zefanya asked doubtfully.
