Divorced for Poor
Chapter 83. First day in the village

Nathan's arrival at Lilis's home in the village is good news for everyone. Including Wendi and Sri. Their efforts to help unite Lilis and Nathan finally pay off. Because among them there is still love to be fought for, for the happiness of their children and also for their own happiness.

That day, Nathan's first day was in the village. He walked out of the house and stood in front of the house while looking at the people who had passed by to start the bustle. Some passersby greeted him kindly, because they might be curious about the figure of a man in Lilis' house.

"Are you ready, Lilis?" ask a mother who is going to the garden.

"I'm her husband" Nathan replied with a smile.

"New husband? It was even more beautiful than her first husband. Welcome to the village of Lilis. I'm going to the garden first."

"Thank you, Mom.

The mothers hurried away, while Nathan smiled happily. She said she was more handsome than Desta. Feels flying into the clouds feeling better than her ex Lilis.

"Hi, early in the morning smile yourself, consciously oe," Wendi said as she patted Nathan on the shoulder.

"What a shock" Nathan said.

"What it feels like to be in the village. Pleased, sad or moved," asked Wendi later.

"Just come, it's all sorts of things. Want to go in first?" nathan asked with a smile.

"Now, he's the host here. Hmm, whereas in the past, I didn't need to be told to come in I've explored this whole house," said Wendi.

"What, explore this whole house? Including Lilis' room?" nathan asked in annoyance.

"Speak what you're. Jealous, want to be angry? Quiet, except for Lilis's room. But I went in, too, anyway," said Wendi deliberately made Nathan attacked with jealousy.

"I wouldn't be angry, because I wasn't her husband at the time. I will not be affected by the past of you two. Even Lilis' past with her ex," Nathan said holding her heart back from getting angry.

"What's right, it's good that you're not affected by your wife's past relationships. Just sit on the porch, looking at people passing by."

Wendi and Nathan walked towards the chair on the porch of the house. Not long after, Lilis came out with a cup of coffee for Nathan.

"Loh, there's Wendi. I'm sorry, I only made one" Lilis said as she looked at Wendi.

"It's okay, Lis. Just relax, I'll make it myself, if I want to drink coffee," said Wendi.

"What do you make yourself for? Honey, just give him coffee, rather than him ruffling your kitchen," Nathan said.

"All right, just tell me you're jealous," seduced Wendi.

"Wendi, don't tease him. I'll make another cup of coffee in a moment, and get some fried bananas" Lilis said with a smile.

"Darling, you must be tired. Don't bother serving him," Nathan said softly.

"Yes, mas. I entered first," said Lilis who then stepped slowly inside the house.

After Lilis enters, Nathan puts his coffee on Wendi. Wendi just smiled looking at Nathan's attitude. However, not long ago, Lilis had returned with a cup of coffee and a plate of fried crispy bananas.

"Let's sample this snack I just made. Wen, Mas, I have to go in first, Revelation is fussy again," Lilis said with a smile.

"Ready, Lis. I'll spend it" said Wendi.

"Here you go, get in there" Nathan told Lilis in a jealous tone.

Lilis immediately entered after seeing signs of jealousy in her husband's eyes.

"Excessive, you mean?"

"Little children know that you are jealous. Shouldn't you have mutual trust? Lilis is the type of woman who is loyal to her partner. So never doubt his loyalty" Wendi said.

"I have no doubt about my wife's loyalty. But I'm not confident because of you" Nathan said to Wendi's surprise.

"What, because of me?" wendi asked while pointing at herself.

"Yes. You were always there when Lilis was in trouble. You've always been the one who can give her spirit when she's desperate. You're also the one who helped us get together again now. Thanks to Wendi."

"Nathan, don't make me so moved and want to cry. I'm just saying, your son and wife are leaving. It turns out your love is huge for Lilis. Otherwise, you wouldn't have gone all the way after your wife to get here," Wendi said with a sigh.

"You're right, Wendi. I really love Lilis. Even if he was angry and upset with me. I want to put himself first above anything in the world" Nathan said, recalling when Lilis kicked him out.

"Because of that, your grandfather felt you changed. No longer prioritizing the interests of the Sugara family, especially your Grandfather's desire to stay focused on your family business" said Wendi.

"Maybe what you say is true. Supposedly, Grandfather understood my position as the head of the family. I already have a small family that I have to put my interests first over others" Nathan said.

"Do you think Lilis will want to go back to town B, after what your grandfather did?"

"Eitherway. For the time being, I don't want to talk to her about that matter just yet. I'm afraid he'll be sad and the happiness that just came back will be gone again" Nathan replied.

"If he wanted to live in this village, what would you do? Because I know, Lilis is currently traumatized from living in B city because of your grandfather," asked Wendi on target

Nathan was silent at Wendi's question. Because at this time, Lilis did look very happy living in the village. The village is full of people who love him and care about him.

"I, I'll follow him. Whatever his wish, as long as it's not parting, I'll agree and support him. Including if he wants to live in this village, in this house," replied Nathan.

Nathan is unaware that Lilis is already standing at the door and listening to what Wendi asks Nathan. Including listening to Nathan's answers that made Lilis touched.

"Then, what do you want to work here? In this village, there is only rough work. Work in the fields, in the gardens and in the peasantry."

"Anything, that matters is halal and making money to eat my child and wife. If I didn't work, what would they eat? I don't want to be called a useless husband. I want to take responsibility for the lives of my son and my wife" Nathan replied.

Hearing Nathan's reply, Lilis shed tears and she was unable to stem the cry that Nathan and Wendi began to hear

"Lilis," call Nathan quietly while standing up.

Lilis ran towards Nathan and hugged her husband tightly while crying as she pleased.

Wendi looked at the husband and wife scene with an awkward feeling. She's been trying to make Nathan honest and make Lilis see that her husband can be trusted. Wendi then stepped away without saying goodbye to the two of them.

"Wendi, where are you going?" ask Nathan.

"You're home. I don't want to be a mosquito repellent. I want to find someone I can hug as well" Wendi replied with a smile.

Nathan and Lilis chuckled at Wendi's words.
