Chapters 2. Weddings

Since that night's meeting, Lilis and Desta get closer and decide to get married. Lilis falls in love with Desta at first sight. Likewise, Desta, he always makes Lilis feel safe and comfortable since meeting Desta who every day picks Lilis home from work when she arrives at night shift.

Lilis and Desta's marriage finally took place after the two families agreed. The Desta family is a big family. His brother numbered 4 and Desta was the second child. Their family is very kind and loves Lilis very much.

Bu Siti initially disagrees with Lilis getting married to Desta. Desta seems to have something hidden, although Siti does not know what it is. But finally, he agreed also after seeing the kindness of the Desta family.

"I was fired from my job a month ago," Desta replied flatly.

"Have you tried to find a new job?"

Desta's face turned irritated. He turned off the game on his phone and placed it roughly on the sofa.

"Why are you so noisy. Don't you want to feed your husband for not working? Are you a matre woman who cannot accept your husband's condition without a job?!"

Lilis voice was suddenly raucous and her body was trembling because it was the first time her husband was angry and snapped at her so loudly. She almost cried.

"If so, don't ever ask again. You don't have to worry, tomorrow I'll find a new job."

Desta lowered his voice after seeing Lilis frightened and seemed to be about to cry. After all, Lilis could give him what he wanted for now. Enjoy life without fear of not being able to eat.

"Dear, I'm sorry. I'm just upset that I got fired. I can't give you any shopping money and I can't make you happy. Don't cry already. Let's just go to bed, tomorrow you'll have to go to work in the morning."

Desta got Lilis into the room. Desta tries to make Lilis forget the events of today by making her smile with a look on her face made in such a way as to be funny to see by Lilis.

Lilis smiled at the look on her husband's face. Gone was the resentment in his heart.

Days change, but Desta still hasn't gotten a job. Every time he left, he asked Lilis for money for food and transportation. Despite her upset heart, Lilis always gave her what her husband asked for.

Lilis was not feeling well, but she still forced herself to go to work. Because if he misses a day without leave, his salary will be cut. After working for half a day, he felt no longer strong. Lilis was also allowed to go home.

In the middle of the street near a cafe, Lilis saw her husband walking into the cafe. Lilis wondered if it was really her husband or someone else who only resembled her husband.

Slowly he went in and looked around in the cafe. How sad and shocked her heart was when she saw that man was indeed her husband. He slowly approached her and stood beside her.

"Find it somewhere else, I'm just getting started" said Desta without turning his head.

"Mas, so this is what Desta's been doing all this time?"

Lilis's voice, even though it was slow, greatly surprised Desta. Desta stopped his activities and stood up while holding his wife's shoulder.

"We're talking at home, I don't want us to be a spectacle here" said Lilis, who immediately let go of Desta's grip.

Lilis passes away followed by Desta who starts to devise a plan so that Lilis can accept and not make Lilis angry.

After parking her motorbike in front of the house, Lilis entered and immediately sat down while waiting for Desta to enter. Desta followed Lilis and sat down beside his wife who was waiting for her explanation.

"Darling, I just stopped by for a minute. I'm tired of looking for a job but no one wants to accept me. I stopped by just to relieve my stress. You don't want to have a stressed husband?"

"Is that what Desta said? Then before marrying me, what was Desta's work? Before I got married, I felt I had no right to ask about your job, but now I'm asking and I wonder why you can be fired without a severance?"

"I was actually unemployed."

"What is it, unemployed? It's worth all this time that Desta never gave me shopping money. Then all this time, for the purposes of Desta buying packages and to play at the cafe, where's the money?"

"Take it to my parents."
