Chapters 100. Final Decision

What Lilis said about the possibility of someone deliberately killing Lilis, made Nathan think hard to find out who did it.

This suspicion makes Nathan with Seno visit the store where the accident that killed his mother-in-law. There Nathan asked the store owner to show the events of the day through CCTV that was outside the store.

Fortunately the store owner did not ask much and tried to help Nathan to find the answer to his question about the purpose or absence of the incident that day. After a long search, finally found the date and time of the accident in front of the store.

Nathan and Seno watched every second of the events recorded on the CCTV. Starting from him get off the car and into the store until the seconds Lilis and Bu Siti get off the car. A motorbike was speeding towards Lilis who was carrying Revelation while calming the fussy-looking Revelation.

Seen, Ms. Siti was shocked when she saw a motorcycle that was speeding towards Lilis. Without a second thought, Bu Siti moved to block the speed of the motorcycle which slightly hit Lilis. Nathan and Seno decide to return.

"Seno, just focus on driving. It doesn't take much to say" replied Nathan who was beginning to think of someone.

Nathan looked far away to the time where Grandpa had spoiled him so much. The grandfather he adored after his father. So wise and hardworking despite being old.

Is Grandpa capable of doing all this?

The question Nathan wanted to ask Grandpa. Seeing Grandpa once threatened Lilis, to almost make Nathan and Lilis separated. What was impossible for Grandpa. But it would be cruel to actually do so, considering not only Lilis' life but also the life of a small unborn baby to this world.

Nathan seemed very confused as to what to do next. If you ask Grandpa directly, and if Grandpa doesn't do that then Grandpa will definitely get angry. But who else hated Lilis, because the only one who hated Lilis was Grandpa Edward.

"Take me to Grandpa's house, after that you can take a taxi home" Nathan ordered.

Seno turned the car towards Grandpa's house. Once there, the car stopped in front of Grandpa's house. Nathan descended slowly while preparing what he would say to Grandpa.

"Assalamualaikum" said Nathan's greeting.

"Wa'alaikum greetings" replied the aunt from inside the house.

The sound of the door opening. Seen aunty smiling to see the arrival of Nathan who had not come back to this house for a long time.

"Grandfather is there, Bik?" ask Nathan.

"There, Nathan. Aunt tell Grandpa first. Nathan sat down first" Bibik said.

Nathan was still hesitating, he stood his gaze right at the door. Today will be a day of determination for his relationship with Grandpa. If Grandpa had really done this to his new family, then there was no way he would have been able to accept all of that especially Lilis.

"Nathan, come in" said Grandfather, awakening his daydream.

Nathan stepped in and sat down in front of Grandpa. Grandfather smiled seeing his beloved grandson coming again after such a long time. Nathan hasn't come back since the meal a month ago. Though usually, Nathan will come even if just looking at the condition of his Grandfather.

"Nathan, Grandpa is glad you came. These few days, Grandpa wanted to meet you and apologize for Grandpa's words back then. Grandpa wants to come to your house, but Grandpa has not dared to face your wife. She must have hated Grandpa so much," said Grandpa looking sad.

Nathan only smiled bitterly at his grandfather's words.

"Grandfather, if Grandpa really wanted to apologize, Grandfather would not have the heart to make Nathan's family wretched," Nathan said as he endured the grief.
