Chapter 36. Flashback makes you happy

Nathan is relieved, after getting reassurance from Lilis that they will both struggle to continue their marriage plans. That way, Nathan is more excited to make his Grandpa agree Nathan married to Lilis.

Flashback.

After Lilis's departure, Nathan reenters the house to bring Grandpa to the hospital. Nathan actually wants to go after Lilis. However, with Grandpa Edward's condition, Nathan couldn't bear to let Grandpa be in pain.

My grandfather was receiving intensive care at the hospital. After some time, he was finally placed in the treatment room. Of course, Nathan put him in the VIP room. After Grandpa got the room, Nathan immediately went to take care of the hospitalization fees.

Upon returning to take care of the hospitalization costs, Nathan rushes to Grandpa Edward's inpatient room. However, something really made Nathan angry at Grandpa and happy.

"Edward, you're this. This healthy and strong body is still pretending to be sick" Doctor Elias said with a smile.

"Doctor Elias, this help of yours I will never forget. Do it well, so that I can soon have a grandchild like you" Grandpa Edward replied with a smile to Doctor Elias.

"If you only want grandchildren, let it be, Nathan married the woman he loved. Why force her to marry a woman she doesn't love. Don't repeat the same mistake you did to his father, Samuel Sugara," said Dr. Elias, sighing.

"Don't bring up the past" said Grandfather sadly.

"Why, it should be a lesson for you not to repeat it again. Until the end of his life, Samuel never felt happiness. In fact, he was like an undead. Do you want Nathan's life to be like his father's?" said Doctor Elias.

"Elias, you can really get me mentally. You know, the woman Nathan loved was a widow with one child" Grandpa Edward replied.

You can give her the condition to give birth to many grandchildren for you. Not necessarily the girl of your choice can give birth to as many grandchildren as you want" Dr. Elias said with a laugh.

Grandfather fell silent, it seemed like he was starting to get affected by Doctor Elias's words. In fact, Doctor Elias only teased him because Grandpa Edward really wanted a grandson.

Edward's grandfather and Doctor Elias were best friends when they were in High School. Because they have different ideals, they study in the same place but different majors. Although they rarely met, they still looked very familiar. Brands always remember their High School days, because it was the most memorable time for both of them.

Edward's grandfather asks Doctor Elias to help him pretend to be sick to get Nathan to marry Santy. Though if it's just a matter of grandchildren, marrying anyone shouldn't be a problem for Grandpa.

Nathan was lucky because he finally found out that his grandfather was okay. He also did not want to open his Grandfather's charade, he even tried to follow Grandfather's charade to give him a grandchild. Nathan smiled happily, as he was sure Grandfather would accept Lilis' presence. Doctor Elias is great at changing Grandpa's mood.

"Edward, are you not suspicious of Nathan and the woman's relationship, what's his name?" ask Dr. Elias again.

"Lilis. Suspicious, what do you mean," replied Grandpa.

"Don't get her pregnant with Nathan's son. Isn't this good news?" doctor Elias said with a smile.

"really? But where possible, I educated Nathan very strictly. How could he possibly impregnate people's children?" my grandfather said he did not believe.

"That could have happened, if you were still stubbornly rejecting their marriage. They are both adults."

"You keep scaring me. Maybe I should just accept their marriage. Rather than them making me ashamed because they have children out of wedlock," Grandpa said with a heavy sigh.

"Well, this is true. Calm your mind, Nathan's happy, you're happy too. So your health condition is also good later because it reduces conflict and reduces the burden of the mind."

"Mas Nathan, why are you smiling? Is there something funny about me?" tanya Lilis was curious.

"No. I just remember wanting to borrow your ID with your family card."

"Of course, let's take care of the files that are needed to complete the terms of marriage. But, there's something I want to say, hopefully you don't mind" Nathan said as he looked into Lilis' curious face.

"I can't give you a fancy wedding. We'll get married in KUA."

"so. It's okay, Mum. I guess what the problem is," said Lilis breathing a sigh of relief.

"I want to, too, see Grandpa. As well as asking permission to marry. Do you mind?"

"No. I'm sure I'll go see Grandpa. Whatever the risk, I'll be ready. I've decided to fight with you, so no matter what happens I will support you."

"I'm so glad to hear that."

"Mas, it's the Maghrib. Are you willing to pray here or just go home?" tanya Lilis was making small talk.

"Right, can I pray here? If I may, I will" Nathan replied with a happy laugh.

"Hhh, I'm just talking, Mom. You take it really? I took what you asked for just now," Lilis said smilingly.

"Kirain, really. I'm not patient..."

Lilis stared intently at Nathan, to make Nathan stop continuing his words. It's like the husband's afraid of the wife just Nathan's attitude. But for Nathan, it's not fear but rather fun for the couple. Every woman wants to be prioritized and united by her husband. Especially listening to what he wants.

Nathan smiled at Lilis, who then returned his smile. Lilis log in to take ID and Family Card. Not long after, Lilis came out and gave Nathan what he asked for.

"I'll go first. Abis Isyak, I'm picking you up to meet Grandpa."

"Why not tomorrow, Mom?"

"I'm not sure, tomorrow Grandpa is still in the hospital or not?" nathan replied with a smile.

"Why?"

"You will know later. I'm going first. Hmmm, almost forgot. Then bring Naina too" Nathan said expectantly.

"Should you take Naina?" tanya Lilis was curious.

"Assalamualaikum," greeting Nathan.

"Wa'alaikum salutations."

Lilis was still somewhat confused by Nathan's request. But because he had decided to support Nathan, he had to believe what Nathan asked for. Including taking Naina.
