Divorced for Poor
Chapters 19. Assistance

Lilis closed her eyes as she continued to pray. Not long after, there was the sound of two men approaching them. Looks like they're Madam Susi's men. One of them immediately took over the position of Madam Susi holding Lilis hostage.

Lilis grew even less hopeful, as they intended to take Lilis away.

O Allah, give your servants the strength to resist them. Keep the fear that currently resides in this heart. His prayer is in the heart.

Lilis gathers strength to fight against Madam Susi's men. Lilis still remembered the pencak silat lessons she had learned when SMK first, even though only the basics. When Lilis was ready to move about to hit the hand of one of the men, suddenly there was a man screaming very loudly.

"Honey, where are you going? Don't leave me?!"

A handsome man in simple clothes, pulled Lilis by the hand. Lilis was just resigned, maybe this is God's way to save himself from their snare. Lilis was already facing the man who then hugged her tightly. Lilis tried to rebel, but she stopped her efforts when the man whispered something into her ear.

"Work with me, for your own safety."

Lilis began to understand, if the man was well-intentioned to help her.

"Honey, why are you mad at me just because I don't want to buy you that gold necklace? I'm just saying later, not not not buying," said the man as if for real.

"Who are you, daring to take him away from us?" ask one of Madam Susi's men.

"Who of you, dare to kidnap my wife. Where are you taking them? If you don't leave immediately, I'll call the police" the man threatened.

"How, Boss. What are we gonna do now?"

"We'll just let her go. We leave, I don't want to deal with the police," Susi told both of her bodyguards.

Apparently, Madam Susi and her two men immediately got into the car and left Lilis who was still in the arms of the man. After their departure, Lilis immediately pushed the man's body to the point of almost falling.

"You..."

Said the man seemed annoyed by Lilis' harsh treatment after being helped. Lilis began to be cautious with people she did not know. Especially after knowing, in this B city, many unexpected things can happen.

"Thank you for your help, sir."

"Thank you, after treating me harshly. But alright, I just want to warn you, newcomer. Don't trust someone you just know. Because you will definitely be taken advantage of."

"Is that including you?"

The sound of the man's laughter sounded very upset Lilis heart.

"You turned my own words to me. Well, maybe I'll use you too."

"Informed to all visitors of the Modern market of the city B. We have managed to catch a man who is suspected of a top class pickpocket specialist pickpocket market modern city B. For those who feel lost. wallet please immediately come to the office of the modern market B city, west of the Barokah store. Thanks."

The sound of the announcement from the modern market office of the city B, sounded very clear in Lilis's ear. A smile was garnishing on his face that had only seemed annoyed since. Lilis rushed quickly towards the market office as intended in the announcement earlier.

I hope my wallet and its contents remain intact.

Lilis no longer cared about the man who had saved her from Madam Susi. The man immediately left after Lilis disappeared from his sight.

"Good afternoon. I'm one of the people who lost my wallet" Lilis said while at the market office.

"Oh, what color is your wallet? Is there a ID card that can be proof that the wallet is yours?"

"There was. My wallet is brown and it has my ID and a picture of my son and mother."

"Well, just look at it for yourself."

Lilis looked at some of the wallets on the table. There are 12 wallets. Including the great ones too, the pickpocket could get so many wallets.

There are so many ways to make money, both halal and haram. It all depends on the choice of each person. Usually halal, the money earned is not so big. But if we choose the illegal path, the results can exceed our expectations. That is why it is a temptation for people who pursue luxury instantly.

Though if examined in depth, everything obtained by illegal means, will cause a sense of unease and a sense of lack because he will never feel enough. He will continue to feel poor amid the amount of money he has.

The risks and consequences of choosing illegal roads are also greater. Hated and shunned by society. There will be no respect, let alone respect. How others and society will respect and cherish us, if we ourselves do not make ourselves worthy of respect. Appreciate and respect yourself, then others will respect you too, inner Lilis saw the pickpocket.

Lilis was stunned observing one by one, the wallet in front of her. His eyes were on his chocolate wallet. Lilis immediately took it and opened it with trembling hands. Worried if the money is gone. Lilis could breathe a sigh of relief, when she saw that her money was still intact.

"Why is that your wallet?" ask one of the market officials.

"Really, sir. This is my ID and this is a photo of my son and mother."

"What about the money, is it still intact? If it's not whole, I'm gonna ask the son of a bitch."

"Still intact and even. Thank you sir, for your help."

"Sama-sama, that has become our task, as the manager of the market. We have to give visitors and sellers a sense of security."

After saying thank you, Lilis went to pick up her order which had been delayed. His heart is full of infinite gratitude to the creator.

Today so many events that make him understand more and more things. One of them is if we are patient and leave everything to Him when we have been squeezed, then God will send down the guardian angel in a way that we do not expect.

Lilis came home with goods requested by Ratih. But it's been quite noon, and he's been gone for almost 4 hours.

Lilis parked her motorcycle, in front of Ratih's house. Then he took his groceries to the shop.

"Lis, why did you just come home, you're so worried something happened to you."

"Sorry, it has made Mbak Ratih worried. Actually, Lilis had a pickpocket, but luckily the pickpocket was caught and Lilis' wallet was back."

"You're still lucky, Lis. I hope, next time you carefully bring the money. It's in a place that's not easy to pick up."

"Yes, Mrs Ratih, Lilis will always remember Mrs Ratih's message."
