Chapter 35. Is this the answer to my prayer

"Mas Desta's..."

"How are you, Lis. Is this beautiful girl Naina?"

"What's Mas Desta here for?" ask Lilis to panic.

"Patience, Lis. Don't freak. I just want to meet Naina," Desta said with a smile.

"No panic, I'm not panicking at all. It's just, didn't I say I was getting married. What will people say later," Lilis replied.

"But I'm not sure you can get married."

"What do you mean, Mom?" ask Lilis.

Now, we're no longer yours, you're saying we're yours. On what basis can you say so easily with the word 'mine'," said Lilis revealing what was in her heart.

"Lilis, I was wrong. I never realized that you and Naina were the most valuable people in my life. Moreover, Naina, she needs her real father, not a connecting father."

"What if Dad hooks up? If he could take care of us more than his real father would, I would rather have him than a real father who has left us in the midst of despair and hunger."

Amidst the tension between Desta and Lilis, Ms. Siti screamed to see the event in front of her eyes. Once, Desta wanted to take Naina from Lilis.

"Mother, Naina is scared" Naina said in a frightened voice.

"Desta, what are you doing?" mam Siti's speech while pulling Desta's hand.

Desta who felt overwhelmed by the arrival of Bu Siti, suddenly threw the body of Bu Siti to fall. Lilis is getting stronger to defend Naina especially after seeing her mother fall by the actions of Desta.

"Mom Siti, is mom okay? Is anyone hurt?" nathan asked worriedly.

Nathan helps Ms. Siti stand up and helps her sit on the sofa.

"Mommy's okay, look at Lilis. He must be shocked by today's incident" said Bu Siti worried.

Nathan immediately looked at Lilis. Lilis' face looked sad and tears were dripping slowly although there was no sound of sobs. Nathan stood up and approached Lilis. She hugged Lilis and Naina together.

"Lilis, give Naina to me, let me carry her. You must be tired" Nathan said.

Lilis did not reply, she simply shook her head. It seems that he is still traumatized by today's events. Today has really been a tough day in Lilis' life. After the incident at Nathan's house, now the arrival of Desta to seize Naina greatly distressed Lilis.

"Lilis, sit down first. Calm yourself" Nathan said.

Nathan helps Lilis sit up, and Lilis is still seen in a state of fear.

"Dad, stay here together," Naina's pinta shocked Lilis, Siti's Mom and Nathan.
