Divorced for Poor

Divorced for Poor
Chapter 81. Village house

Wendi's wedding is two weeks away. Wendi and Sri have gone home in advance to prepare the proposal and the wedding. Before leaving, they met Lilis and at the same time encouraged the mother of two children to stay strong and strong.

"Lilis, I'm so sad that your marriage has failed again. I actually really want to help you, but we have to go home soon to prepare for the wedding," Wendi said with a sigh.

"It's okay, Wen, Sri. You guys go first, I still have to take care of the stalls. I had to hand it over to Mbak Surti because I didn't know if I would return to this city or not" Lilis said with a sigh.

"Lis, is there no way for you not to get divorced? Poor kids. When I saw Naina, she was secretly crying. He must be very sad" said Sri sadly.

"I know Sri, but how else. I'm confused, I'm almost desperate if I don't remember they still need me. I. .. I must be strong, I must be able to refrain from getting too drawn into grief. Maybe someday when they grow up, they'll blame me, but right now their safety is more important than anything."

Lilis cries in the arms of her best friend, Sri. Sri can only give him spirit as well as Wendi.

"Lis, after marriage, we won't return either, if you and your children don't return. We're here because of you, you asked us to work here. We agreed because we wanted to take care of you as a friend. But if you want to stay in the village, we will also stay in the village. We open a joint business in the village" said Wendi.

"Don't talk like that. After you get married, you have the right to decide your own path. I'm an adult, I have 2 kids. You guys want to take care of me like I'm still a kid" Lilis smiled.

"Well, that's dong, smile. It's been a long time since I've seen you smile" Sri said happily.

They began to talk casually and forgot the sadness that Lilis was experiencing.

After handing over the stalls to Mbak Surti, Lilis decided to return to the village immediately. In addition to attending Wendi and Sri's wedding, he also intends to settle in the village. Lilis started packing all of her clothes because she had no intention of returning, so all of her clothes and important items would be taken with her.

Lilis has already bought airline tickets online. And tomorrow they'll be leaving soon. Leaving the city gives him many sweet memories with Nathan. Memories she could never forget in her entire life.

"Lis, is it done?" ask the mother while sitting next to her.

"A little while, Mom. Good thing Revelation sleeps faster and herds. Maybe because tomorrow he will see his mother's hometown" Lilis said smilingly.

"Maybe too. The hard one is Naina," said Bu Siti sadly.

"Why Naina Ma'am?"

"She asked my mother if Nathan's father would come with us to the village. I was confused as to what to answer. Besides, there are many other questions. What makes you sadder, when she asks why you never come back here again, is it because Naina often makes mistakes?" the word Bu Siti mimicked Naina's question.

"Mother, I'm also confused as to how to explain to Naina. Afraid Naina was hit hard by her father and mother" Lilis said.

"Mother just said that her father was out of town. I had to lie so she wouldn't ask any further" Ms Siti said.

"Thank you Ma'am, I helped Lilis answer. Hopefully tomorrow everything will go well as planned."

"Aamiin's."

Lilis continued to pack her clothes which only partially remained.

The next day, at exactly 6 a.m., Lilis, her mother and her two children took a taxi to the airport. A lot of stuff makes them nervous. There came a man who offered to help them carry their luggage.

"Excuse me, need some help?" ask a guy who looks good.

"No. I am a passenger too. I saw you were troubled, so my heart was moved to help."

"Oh, thank you, then" said Lilis.

"What city are you headed to? This is if you can find out."

"To town S," replied Lilis.

"Same, my destination city is also the city of S. It just so happens, so I can help you get her stuff."

"Well, again thank you son," said Ms. Siti.

Lilis was helped by the man checking in and the man also helped put things in the cabin baggage of the plane. After all was done, they boarded the plane and happened to be next to each other again.

"The unintentional coincidence. The handsome son must be like his father," the man asked.

"Yes, like his father."

"Why his father is not me, but you carry a lot of things. I'm sorry to be so presumptuous to ask," the man asked.

"His father is on duty out of town. We went here to attend a friend's wedding" Lilis replied.

"Oh, duty out of town," the man said with a smile.

They were silent after the plane left. And Lilis pensively recalled the good times that would now only be memories. After a journey of nearly 3 hours, the plane has arrived in the city of S. The man went back to help Lilis pick up their luggage.

"Do you want to find a taxi to your destination?" ask the man.

"Could you really help? Well, thank you in advance," said Lilis.

The man immediately contacted someone and within minutes, a taxi was ready to leave. Before parting ways, Lilis and Bu Siti expressed many thanks to the man whom Lilis forgot to ask her name.

After a journey of almost 4 hours, they just arrived at Lilis' house. Lilis's arrival was welcomed by Wendi's parents, Wendi and Sri. Bu Siti's house looks very clean and neat. Because after Lilis had the money, her house was renovated and well cared for by Wendi's parents.

The atmosphere of Lilis' house was very crowded. Moreover, Wendi and Sri's mother had cooked for them to have dinner together. The atmosphere is very relaxed and unpretentious. Togetherness in the village that is very much missed Lilis.

After finishing dinner and having a little chat, they decided to go home. While Sri, help clean the dishes and wash other kitchen utensils.

Lilis was delighted and comforted that they had just arrived and had already been greeted with great fanfare by those who loved her dearly. Lilis put Revelation to sleep in Lilis's room and she sat down to rest.

The night has shown at 11 p.m. There was a knocking on the door. Lilis asks Naina to open the door, thinking Sri is back.

"Naina, who's coming? Sri come again?" lilis asked in a loud voice from inside the room.

"Dad ...."
