Trapped In Ambiguity

Trapped In Ambiguity
He's my best friend

After paying the taxi bill, I set foot on this Salo Street. I don't know why it's called Salo Street but here is a big river defending this area in two. Right Salo Street and Left Salo Street. On Salo Kanan street, the houses there are simple, clean and well maintained, in contrast to the Left Salo Road which is completely inversely proportional. The house there can be said to be far from decent. The area is really shabby.

"Excuse me" I shouted as I knocked on Devan's door. The house is yellow with a yard filled with flowers that are so fertile. Mom really takes care of this place even though this is a rental house.

A beautiful middle-aged woman opened the door for me. "Eh? Adel? It's been a long time since you've been here again" he greeted with a warm, friendly smile. He let me in, sit down. As usual, he never forgot to offer me a drink.

"No need, Mom. I just want to meet Devan," I refused subtly.

"Devan is in his room. Will you call me or will you come to him?"

I seem to think for a moment. "Let me, Mother."

“Kak Adel.” Someone just hugged me. Fortunately I was sitting, otherwise I could have fallen backwards because of it.

“Mesya, you are big now?”

Mesya fixed her seat beside me, looking at me with sparkling eyes. The smile did not stop on his face.

“Kak Adel why just came now? Mesya misses very much Adel.”

“I also miss Mesya.” I rubbed his jet-black hair.

“Let's talk again yes, brother. I'm gonna take a shower first. Must be the smell of sweat because it was out of basketball practice.” He stood up and then went inside. I turned to look at my mother, she smiled and then said goodbye to continue her cooking she said was delayed. Probably because of my presence.

I went up and opened the door to Devan's unlocked room. He was lying on a couch - which had started to show a yellow-colored cork - with a game console in his hand. His eyes focused on the tube TV in front of him.

"What's up, Mom?" Devan suddenly corrected his position to sit when he heard the sound of his bedroom door hinge ringing. "Eh? Dellong." - Dellong." He looked surprised when he saw me.

"Can I come in?" my many.

"You are, usually just play the game without permission first," cynically then continue the baring and also the game.

I sat on the edge of the bed, looking around the room. I forgot when I last visited here. Nothing has changed from this room. Ebiet G wall poster. Ade is still there. Yeah, me and Devan both idolize Ebiet. It was actually Devan who introduced me to his songs and it made me so interested.

"What's wrong? The tumbens you came here again" asked Devan without taking his eyes off the game.

"Can't go to a friend's house?" my ketus.

"It's gonna be tonight, I'm gonna find you. Btw, didn't you want to go with Sister Rega?" tanyakanya.

"So it's already."

"You must have a problem, right?" Devan improved his sitting position, paused his game and placed the game console beside him. He was ready to hear my complaint.

"Well, just a small matter. No need to be in bigger trouble," I said slowly.

"Well, if you don't want to tell." He breathed a rough breath. "Main PS yuk," he asked.

"Again no mood" I answered briefly.

"That's obvious from your face, anyway." Devan chuckles when nothing is funny at the moment.

I threw my body on the bed, staring at the white ceiling of Devan's room. I wanted to complain to him about Brother Rega, but it seems I already know the answer. I took a slow breath and closed my eyes, trying to make peace with my heart and mind.

"Delloooong." The sound of screaming made me wake up in shock. I stared at the ceiling of this house while reassembling my life.

"Akh, you surprised me, Crazy,” umpatku. I got up and sat cross-legged on the bed, my life still half-assembled.

"You want to spend the night here?" tanyanya judes's. "Gw tired of waiting for you who sleep already kayak kebo. I miss my room. Because of you, I have to evacuate to the front of the TV," said Devan.

I just realized, it turns out I fell asleep at his house. "Lu didn't do that to me, did he?" tanyaku while squinting, looking at him with full vigilance while hugging my own body.

"Raw, Dellong. Is this innocent and cute Devan going to do that? If you don't believe it, just ask your mother, or not Si Mesya. Ever since I realized you were sleeping, I came out of the room, told my mom that you were sleeping, and then she covered you with the blanket. I haven't been in my room since 3 hours ago" Devan chanted at length and ended it by rolling his eyeballs and folding his hands in front of his chest.

I got out of bed and tidied it up a little. "I'm going home. I'm waiting for you outside. Take me," I said, walking past him.

“Wait, Long. You translucent.”

“WHAT??!!”

I turned towards Devan who was currently watching his bed so closely. “Thank God, my bed is still safe,” he said as he spread his hands across the bed - like hugging and leaning his head. He then opened his closet. “Use this.” He threw me something and fortunately I caught him by reflex.

“Celana?”

“You should change your pants, Long.”

“Celana cargo that is only knee length doang?” my protest. “Antar I just go home, I'll change it at home.”

“NGGAK. My motor will be stained,” he said in excessive style. “If you don't want to, just go home by taxi.”

I checked my pants pocket. “Tree doang. Where enough?”

“Sana, change pants at WC.” Devan pushed my shoulder out of his room. “Mesya, Dellong needs a sanitary pad,” he shouted beside my ears.

Mesya suddenly just appeared and gave the ‘roti’ to me. I grabbed him and thanked him and walked towards the WC.

“But brother, ouch.” Mesya's words made me look. Mesya was currently staring at Devan and Devan turned his head towards me, displaying his neat row of teeth. Never mind, it must be a family matter.

I opened the door to Devan's room and found him lying there casually playing with his phone. I then threw the pants and pads that had not been opened to him so that he jolted in shock.

"LO DO YOU GW?" My yelling.

He woke up and laughed. "Eat it in check first. There's a mirror in there. Just trust me." He held his stomach.

"IT'S NOT FUNNY, WOI." I grabbed Devan's pillow and threw it at him. "Gw wants to go home, take me."

"Very well, if you ask for good."

I ignored him and walked out of Devan's room, meeting the mother who was folding clothes in front of the TV. I sat in front of him, thanking him and saying goodbye. But the mother instead told me - more precisely forcing me - to eat first.

I then walked towards the dining table, picking up a bit of rice on my plate. The food was so simple presented in front of me: sour vegetables, dried fish and also sambal pete. I started to taste it, one bribe, two bribes, three mouthfuls, I seemed to be hooked. And of course make me add 2 times the portion of my meal than usual tonight.

“Kak Adel is going home?” ask Mesya who just came out of his room.

“I'm still eating. Want to eat too?”

“Just now it's been.” Mesya pulled the chair in front of me, looked at me who was eating and started chattering about many things. I've always liked to hear that. How much he told me as if it made me feel in his story.

"Dellloooong." Again the voice disturbed the calmness of my soul and mind that was listening to the story of Mesya. "I've been waiting for you outside, it turns out you're busy eating here.”

I ignored him again and finished the rest of my food, while Mesya was silent. This fresh white water became my dinner cover and completed my satiety.

"The one." I leaned back in the chair while holding my stomach. A few seconds later, he burps.

"Del-long." Devan again disturbed my calm. I then stood up, lifted my plate to the dishwasher and washed it. Looks like you just finished washing the dishes, because there's not a single dirty dish here.

"Let's go home, Devan," take me. “See you again, Mesya.” I waved my hand at her who was also responded with a wave of her hand and her sweet smile.

"There's candy in the closet. Take two and eat it. Your mouth smells.” He must have just sharpened his mouth.

I breathed the air from my mouth into my hands and kissed it. Devan's right, I need that candy. After taking it and eating it, I went back to see my mother, thanking her and saying goodbye for the second time today.

I knocked on my door. The clock shows at 9 p.m., just when Dad opened the door for me. Dad looked at my face so flatly and let me in. After I got in, he locked the door again. Will you be angry with me

"Dad thought you forgot to go home," the cynical father, looking at me sharply. I'm really worried now.

"Sorry Dad, I forgot to tell you." I was downcast, afraid to look at the face of my father who might be angry at this moment.

"Dad was very angry but suddenly you called dad. Dad answered and it was Devan. Devan said my dad's daughter fell asleep and she didn't have the heart to wake you up" explained Dad. I looked up, looking at the face of my father who was currently smiling faintly. " Have you eaten?"

"Feel mom really good, Dad," I said excitedly. "Otherwise sambal pete it. It feels really good, Dad."

"Sambal pete? I haven't eaten it in a long time. Why don't you wrap it up for me?” kekeh dad. “Tomorrow we ask mother to cook it. Now you go to your room. Sleep well, Cil." Dad kissed my forehead before I went to my room.

"Oh yeah, Cil." Dad stopped my steps. "So Rega was looking for you. He came at 7. He said he sent you a message, but you haven't answered."

"I'll reply soon, Father." I answered and went into the room.

I sat on my couch in my room, looking for Kak Rega's message. The message has been read? I guess I've never read it. So who read Kak Rega's message before me? Didn't you just say Devan called him. Did Devan not read it? I opened the message.

Adel, you misunderstood

It's not what you imagined

I just caught Yolanda

He stumbled and almost fell

We don't hug, Del

Adel

Darling

Sorry

I'm really sorry for creating this misunderstanding.

I put my phone back. It may be true what Rega said. But what I saw earlier, Yolanda hugged Sister Rega. I don't know what to believe in what I read or what I see.

Wait, if Devan is reading this? How's response? But his expression was fine. Huaaa.

I hope that tomorrow is all right.
