I spent my break in the school garden pews, staring at the flowers, waiting for the shoots that somehow started blooming into beautiful flowers. That's all, enjoy my own time.
"You here, Dellong?" That familiar voice made a faint smile on my face. I looked up, it turned out that he wasn't alone. It made the smile on my face disappear again.
I stood up from my stool, moving, leaving Devan looking at me with a surprised face. "Dell." He held my hand so I stopped my steps.
"I'm badmood again, Devan," I said. Not looking or looking at them both.
"But why?" tanyakanya.
I was forced to turn my head, look at him with a lazy look and hint to take off his hand with an eye. He understood, then took my hand off slowly. I want it to feel like crying. Akhh, I don't understand myself.
I walked to class, sat back on my stool with my chin up, waiting for the next subject even though the edges will not listen. I just want to get home early.
"You're coming home with me?" devan asked as I was standing at the school gate.
"I'm the same, Brother Rega," I said when I had no appointment with Kak Rega. I hope Brother Rega will take me home.
I approached Rega who was just about to get into his car. With a friendly smile, Brother Rega nodded.
"Sister, aren't you mad at me?" I broke the silence in the car. I just stared ahead, without looking back at him.
"Anged?" ask Rega back.
"I don't understand my own heart, brother. I don't like it when I see someone close to my best friend" I said.
"So you're from yesterday badmood because of a girl who's close to Devan?" Brother Rega laughed a little. "Del, just calm down. It's only natural that you're jealous when someone is close to your best friend. That means you're afraid of losing her. If you ask me how I feel, am I angry? Relax, I'm fine. Seriously. As Devan blesses me being close to you, I'll also be calm when you get close to Devan. In my mind, I consider Devan to be your brother" said Kak Rega who was still focused on the streets in front of him.
I sighed softly, digesting Kak Rega's words.
"I'm gonna ask you? Does a person who has just entered someone else's life have the right to forbid that person to be close to his or her own brother?"
I didn't nod or shake. Just speechless. Is it possible that my feelings for Devan are just like feelings for her brother, who is afraid of losing her brother? I don't know.
"See you tomorrow at school, baby." Rega waved her hand from the car and then drove her car away from my house.
I stepped up, went into my room and changed into an oversized black t-shirt and pants that were only knee-length.
Kak Rega's words were like giving a speck of light in my heart, making the ambiguity in my heart begin to diminish.
The sound of knocking made me turn to the door of my room that was closed. I walked to open it. He, Devan, was standing before me with a faint smile. He's even still
"Can I come in?" tanyakanya.
I nodded slowly and told her to sit on my desk chair, while I just stood facing the window.
"You want to say something?" He began to open up the topic in that cloudy daylight.
I let out a rough sigh then sat on the edge of the mattress, facing towards him.
"You ignored me" I said and folded my hands in front of my chest.
"When?"
"Yesterday in the cafeteria, you didn't even greet me."
"I didn't see you."
"How is it possible? We're so close."
"I really don't see you."
I again took a rough breath. All I know is, Devan never lied to me.
"That girl, she's a transfer girl, doesn't have any friends at this school. How could I have left it alone."
"You can call me first."
"Later the girl knew how my Dellong attitude was when he was taken to the cafeteria. After all, if you want to go to the cafeteria you have to be forced or not to be treated."
"So you'd rather treat the girl than me?"
"No, we pay for it ourselves. I don't think you're asking for food."
"There's a mirror there. Why don't you look in the mirror." I poked my lips.
"Forgive that."
"You left me and went home with that woman."
"I didn't leave you. Before I went to the cafeteria that day, I met up with Kak Rega and asked for help to drive you home because I had to take the girl."
"For him, why didn't you pick me up?"
"I'm late to wake up, Dellong. Not to mention I have an appointment with Mr. Sandi. So I took a shortcut to get to school quickly."
"I hate that girl" I said honestly, staring at her bead. He didn't answer me, just shut up and check his phone, like calling someone. When he got a reply to the message, he then stood up, pulling my hand out of the room.
"Where are we going?" my many.
"Follow it,"
"Woi, I'm a loose shirt."
Devan ignored me. "Dad, I borrowed dellong bentar," he said to the father who had just returned home.
"Ok sip," replied Dad with a chuckle.
Devan then told me to get on his bike, I somehow just sort of took it. He took me to a cafe. Wait, cafe? I'm with my shirt this goes into the cafe? Wait, this is a mistake. But Devan didn't care, just kept pulling me inside.
"Thank you for waiting" Devan told the woman in the high school uniform I met yesterday and also earlier. The woman I hate.
"Hi, Adel," she said to me, making me grin, confused. I don't know him. "Why are you looking at me like that? Don't tell me you forgot me" he said, chuckling.
"I don't know you." I'm pissed off.
"Hi, haven't we made peace before, why are you still angry?" ask again.
I began to think, considering who the person in front of me was. If he says that, then we've met before.
"Gergia?" many doubt.
"Thank God, I thought you forgot me." She laughs.
"This is really you? You're more beautiful, I don't even know you."
"Yes, I used to be black and buriq. But now I'm ready to take Devan away from you" he said blatantly in front of me and Devan.
"Try it," my challenge.
"No, it's so hard to separate you guys, I give it up." He laughed again.
Forget about hate, meeting old friends turns out to be this fun. He's Gergia, my SD friend with Devan. Class 3 Elementary School, I always fight with him. He always said he would take Devan away from me, and it always made me cry. Devan? He was just indifferent, enjoying his childhood.
"Cie has gotten along," said Devan suddenly who only listened from earlier.
