I looked at the clock on my wrist for the next time. 07.55. I began to observe the atmosphere, looking for a pause so as not to cut through Ms. Ega's explanation. He was so good at explaining Indonesian lessons.
I raised my hand in reply with a look of puzzled face of Bu Ega while raising one eyebrow as a sign of the word 'what'
“Sorry, Mom. My stomach hurts so much. Can I go to UKS,”, I said by holding my stomach, pretending it was so painful. Not to mention I put on such a supportive facial expression.
“Go. Rasti accompany her,” pinta Bu Ega.
“I can do it myself, Mom. If Rasti accompanies me, later he misses the lesson,” reject me.
Bu Ega looked thoughtful, and the next second he nodded. I then moved on, walking to the UKS. In the middle of the journey, suddenly someone pulled me and surprised me. I almost screamed if he didn't shut me up.
"Ughs. You surprised me. Can't you just call me without pulling me up like this?" I rolled my eyeballs.
"You why the hell? Called non-look, almost ten times I called you and now you're not even angry clearly" he replied.
"That's it. Now what?" my many.
He then pulled my hand, sneaking around like a thief heading to the back of the classroom, not forgetting he was watching around, just in case anyone looked. Btw, this is the first time in my life, it certainly makes me anxious.
"Well." Yeah." He showed me a wall.
"You wanna climb that wall? You're not kidding, are you? I wear a skirt, can I?" my lips.
"We just need to jump. There are boxes arranged there," he pointed to a pile of boxes made of wood. The pile of boxes was high so we could reach the top of that wall.
I followed Devan and then jumped where I thought it was safe. "Now what else?" ask me after we jump. I can't believe I actually skipped it for the first time since I went to high school. Hehe, when I was in Junior High I did it five times because of Devan's invitation, but traumatized when I was found out with the teacher BK.
"Run first." cried Devan then ran, making me reflex to chase after him. After being far away from school. Devan invited me to buy t-shirts so that later our clothes would not get dirty. Whose money? of course Devan's money.
"Take the hoodie," he said.
"Hot."
"Select heat or your skin becomes limp because of the sun?" insinuations. "You're not tired of care?” chortled
I puffed my lips and went in search of my favorite pastel hoodie, not forgetting the jeans, but not the black jeans, because they were almost filling my closet. For a girl like me, it's better to get hot than my skin care in vain. I then went back to see Devan after changing my clothes.
"Where are we going and what's up?"
"Beach Ancol, keep riding in my friend's car."
"Your friend?"
"Yes." Yeah."
I just nodded, following Devan's steps walking out of the clothes shop. "Well, that's it, '" he pointed to the small, white car parked neatly in front of the store.
"Hi yo's. How are you doing? Long time no see you," said Fadel. He's been the same since I last saw him, only he's taller than he used to be. Not much had changed from him, other than his face which of course grew older. Naturally, he was three years older than us. "Luckily, you're taking me, bro. If not when can we meet again."
Devan just laughed and scratched his non-itchy nape. "He who?" ask Fadel to Devan when he sees me.
"You don't know him? Or did you forget about it?" devan asked with an interrogating look.
Fadel looked back at me intensely, observing every inch of detail of my face and frowning, confused. Being looked at like that certainly made me blush in shame.
"He's Adel" Devan added.
"Adel?" Fadel seemed to think. "Oh that snot boy, huh? The one we used to ridicule because his face was dull?"
"Eh, am I that bad?" I rolled my eyeballs. I started thinking about how I used to be, but failing, I couldn't remember. But am I really that bad?
"Oh, Adel," call Fadel in his poetic tone. His hands were spread out in front of me, like he was hugging.
"Eh? You can't do it." Devan suddenly stood in front of me to block me from Fadel. "I don't allow that. Just be careful if you mess around," threatened Devan with an angry tone made up, so it looks like a joke.
"Lu who? Ck,” Decak Fadel. “But really, she's really pretty," praised Fadel. "Do you have a boyfriend?" ask me what I responded by shaking my head slowly and also a knotty smile. "Then be my girlfriend."
"Ngga," Devan refused. "You playboy, you like to play girl feelings, insensitive, rude, inconsiderate, untrustworthy, sweet-loving promises, likes."
"Woi stop. You want your mouth to give me black tape. That's not true. I'm a good man." Now Fadel is threatening.
I got in the car and sat in the middle seat alone. Fadel then drove his car, splitting the city's congested roads. I looked back at the clock on my wrist, at 08:32.
"Fad, how was your lecture?" askaku, open the topic of conversation from earlier quiet. I do not call him with the frills of ‘kak’ because it is a habit from small. It would be very strange for us if I used that.
"As usual. But if you go to college, you go to the same college as me, yes. Let it be later if I'm a final semester student, I'll be excited" said Fadel. I just smiled, didn't nod or shake. "Oh yeah, how long haven't we met? Last time I saw you when you were still close." He chuckles.
"That's a question or a mockery?" sindirku.
"Last met when I was in fifth grade" replied Devan who suddenly entered the core of the conversation. "That's because you are continuing your education abroad. We will be separated. Just returned to Indonesia after college,” said Devan with a look without turning his head, only focusing on the road in front of him when he was not the one driving.
"Your nature still hasn't changed, yes. Fuckin." Fadel turned to mock Devan. "Still childish so." I've seen Devan's mature nature just silent, do not want to refute or add.
"So-right." Devan folded his hands in front of his chest, sulking. Look how childish he is.

Today the sky is cloudy, it seems that it is going to rain. This place is still crowded with visitors. But at least this cloudy weather can reduce the heat in the clock that starts towards noon. Eve even became somewhat cold with the addition of a gentle breeze piercing my skin.
I got out of the car and was greeted by Devan's hand pull, heading to the beach. He then played the sand of the beach with his feet without a care for the sand that began to enter through the blemishes of his shoes.
Devan then asked me to take a picture with the help of Fadel. But every position I have is always broken. When I fixed my position, he otherwise would have pushed me. I'm not even sure if there's a good picture of me later. Ugh.
"Aren't you guys dating anyway?" fadel asked with his face showing an annoyed look. Maybe, he was lazy to serve the behavior of the two of us who always asked for his photo to be repeated.
"No. He's my best friend." I smile.
"She's my really sweet sister. Uh, squashy." Again, he pinched my cheek every time he said that sentence and then showed his ugly face in front of me as if he thought I was a child.
"Woi, sick." I took his hand off my cheek.
"That's it. Let's go get a drink. It's really thirsty" Fadel asked.
I followed the big steps of the two, walking towards a tent by the beach. Sit down and order a cold drink.
"Fadel is paying" Devan said, putting the empty second glass on the table.
"Eh? how me?"
"Because you're the oldest" I said on Devan's side.
“Because you invited,” added Devan
"No," refused Fadel raw.
"Huaaa Fadel is evil." I sulked like a child, as did Devan who started following me.
"You brought us here to eat. Huaya."
"You have to pay. Hixs."
"What the hell are you guys, so childish. Yes, yes, I paid," resigned Fadel. He then took the wallet in his pants pocket and handed over the blue money.
“Yes,” sayku and Devan while tos win.
I got up from my seat and walked after Devan, trying to align my steps with his steps that had gone first. We left Fadel who was busy talking to the seller. Naturally, the seller is a girl.
Devan stopped his steps just above the beach bridge. Devan then stopped, staring at the beautiful sea from the top of this bridge.
"Beautiful, yes," he murmured without turning his head. His sight was still heading towards that sea. I did not reply, busy with my own thoughts as I looked towards the sea there. "I hope to be here again with you,”.
I turned my head, looked at her face from the side and she also turned to me, so that our eyes were glued to each other. "Del, thank you for being my best friend. I'm really happy," she said. I was, instead, frozen still. "Thank you also for being present and partaking in my dreams" she continued, which made me frown. I don't understand the meaning of the dream he said.
"Thank you also for being the kind of jerky guy I've known and who always made my life monotonous" I replied with great emphasis but instead made him chuckle.
"Woi, man, you have the heart to leave me very worried because you are lost somewhere and I am so afraid if you are kidnapped by people who are trapped in their own minds when you do not know anything.” Fadel sighed for a moment while Devan and I stared at each other, astonished by what this man in front of us said. “Already at 12.00 hours, you guys should go back to school.” I looked back at the clock on my wrist. He's right, we have to get back to school.
On the way home, I borrowed Devan's phone and looked at our photos. Among all the good photos of me and Devan is just one. In the photo I looked at Devan with his pouting face while Devan looked at me with an irritating smile. I sent the photo to my phone, I would wash it and frame it for me to keep in my room, more precisely on my bedside nightstand.
If only time could be slowed down.
