Trapped In Ambiguity

Trapped In Ambiguity
Any more?

Reni approached me who was busy doing chores at this break. He asked me to accompany him to go to the teacher's room. I sighed softly then looked around, it was just the two of us in this room.

"All right," I said resignedly. I'm not the kind of person who would let my friend alone if he had asked me.

He walked beside me, looking to match the speed of my steps. I also wonder why a girl like me walks at such a fast pace. Even Devan has protested because of my move.

My steps came to a halt when I heard Brother Rega's voice. I turned my head and found him sitting on a park bench with Devan.

"Ren, I'll be waiting for you here" I whispered. I then hid behind a tree behind them and heard what they were talking about.

"You have to trust me. I'll always look after her, I won't let her be hurt by another woman."

"How can I believe it?" Devan's voice is heard by Judes.

"I'll prove it, I'll do anything for him."

"All right, but on one condition. You should be ready to decide if something happens to her, especially if she shed a tear."

Someone patted me on the shoulder and made me aghast in shock, thankfully I didn't make a sound. It was Reni, it seemed like she was done with her affairs. Though I still want to eavesdrop on this exciting conversation.

"Uuuu, devankuuu." I pinched his cheek, squashed. He complained in pain and tried to let go of my hand with a brow that was grinning in confusion. It was the first time I met Devan after his conversation with Kak Rega. "Mother looking for you, don't you want to go home?" ask me after removing my pinch on her cheek.

"It just so happens, my stomach is hungry too. let's go up."

Devan propelled his bike on a crowded street as usual. I put my chin on her shoulder and whispered a thank you. I don't care if he hears it or not.

"There's something better, '" my father teased when we just arrived in front of the house. I think he just got home from his office. He's still wearing his office suit.

After parking his bike, Devan immediately shook his hands. We then entered the house and were greeted with the fragrance of mother's food.

"Devan? Last time you saw you when you visited Cila. Why don't you come so rarely" Mother asked as Devan shook her hand. Judging from the look on your face, it looks like he misses Devan. Somehow Devan stole my parents' hearts.

Devan did not answer Mother's question but only scratched her nape that was not itchy then laughed a giggle.

Mother then invited us to lunch. Of course this is what was waiting for Devan.

"How was your day, Devan?" ask Dad who started the lunch topic today.

"Dad just asked Devan? With my own child?" I said roll my eyeballs, lazy.

"Okay, dad, as always. Father's day how?" ask Devan.

"Yes, it's just a common problem that happens in the office, after all this will be quickly finished," replied the father.

Huft, the two of them ignored me, as if I wasn't in the middle of them. I'm getting used to this. Enjoying my lunch without minding their conversation is better for now.

"Dellong, Dell's ." Devan's call made me look up to him. He even hit me on the shoulder slowly. "Dad talk to you. You didn't hear it?" ask Devan.

"When I speak no one hears." I took a rough breath and poked my lips.

"Basic son of father. You're pms again?" ask him next to his little laugh.

After spending time in this house, Devan came home and I immediately went up to my room to change clothes. The clock shows at 15:30. I almost forgot I had an appointment with Rega. He'll be coming to pick me up soon.

"By, Brother."

"You're always calling me 'Sister'. Didn't I ban you? You better call me by the name of Rega or not 'honey'."

"For me it's impolite to call kakel without frills 'sister'."

"You are this." Brother Rega is flushed. "I'm your boyfriend what's your big brother?" Brother Rega pinched my nose slowly. Akh, I feel like there is a red tinge on my cheek that appears suddenly that makes me want to faint right now. Ok, I'm alay.

"Why are you quiet?" asked Kak Rega who suddenly switched from side to front of me, looking at my bead with his stick, adding a red tinge on my cheek that might have spread all over my face. "Your face is flushed, are you sick? or are you allergic to the sun?"

I don't know what real plain Brother Rega how? All I know now is that my heart beats faster in such a face.

"What do you want to eat, Adel?" ask him again.

"Es cream, brother. Gini in the afternoon is very good to eat ice cream," I said trying to be ordinary.

"Well wait here, I'll bring it for you."

I'm nodding. I looked at the back of Kak Rega who was getting away and then turned to look at the clear blue sea water.

Rega came back with two ice cream cones in her hands. That's my favorite flavor, vannila. I'm not surprised that Brother Rega knows so much about me.

Eating ice cream while enjoying the beach is really relaxing, just less twilight. Even so, it's still just as fun.

"There's an ice cream stain on your face, brother." I said. I then immediately took a tissue that was never absent from my bag. I just wanted to touch her, but her face was clean.

"Thank you." He looked at my face that might look upset right now. "Why?" tanyakanya.

"I should have wiped the tissue on Big Brother's face. Brother canceled this pu-else," said I who made him grin. He seems confused by what I said.

A few seconds later he laughed while I looked down, staring at the brown sand below me.

"Adel." His call made me look up, look at him. He pointed down his left cheek. There's an ice cream stain in there.

I then wiped his mouth, forgetting about the incident. "My sweet girlfriend" I murmured softly.

"You're this." Brother Rega ruffled my hair slowly. Making the red tinge on my cheek reappear. I think I'm baperan. "Let's go home, my future father-in-law must have been waiting for his daughter." Any more?

Brother Rega stood up first and thrust his hand at me. I took his hand and stood up with his help. Don't ask me again about the red tinge on my cheek.

"Sir Rega? Adel?" The sound stopped both of us. That's Yolanda, my former classmate too. Currently, she is in class with Devan. Someone who has never returned my book.

He then walked towards us. I stared at the sea for a moment while waiting for him to arrive in front of us. Wait, I couldn't believe it, just for a moment I turned my eyes and now they - Brother Rega and Yolanda - embraced.

Without further ado, I turned around, leaving behind Brother Rega and Yolanda both. As a woman, I can't take it for granted when my boyfriend hugs another woman in front of me.

"Adel, wait for me." I ignored Sister Rega's call. I ran, whether Brother Rega was chasing me or not, I didn't care. My eyes are currently warming. I stopped the taxi that was passing by the highway in front of me. Ride and sit staring at the city from behind the window of this taxi.

"To Salo Street."

"You've been to this taxi twice and you've cried twice" the taxi driver said. "I remember taking you to the library, you were crying, right?" continued.

I ignored her, trying to hold back the next tear that was about to come down. I'm going to Devan's house, but I don't want Devan to see me crying because of Kak Rega. I'm not ready to break up with Sister Rega who became my girlfriend 4 days ago.
