The Toga Rahayu

The Toga Rahayu
Cuban Rondo

“Vila mas?”, greet one of the people in the post offering his villa.

“No sir, sorry I want to ask the tire patchmaker closest to here on which side?”, asked Dika politely to the gentlemen.

“You are straight only about one km away there is a tire” patcher, said the fathers in the post.

Dika and I quickly continued the journey to find the tire patchworker, it seems like Dika's mass bike lacks wind.

Arriving at the tire patch we quickly went down to add to the wind.

“Mas so where do we go now?”, ask me on Dika mas while enjoying the cold and cool atmosphere there.

“I want to take you to cuban rondo, have you been there?”

“It is definitely not yet mas, I am a new citizen here”, while shaking my head I answered a question dika mas.

We quickly continued our journey back to the location that has been determined by the Dika mas, entering the Songgoriti area under the cold air and the trees getting thicker.

Along the way we continued to cross paths with young people who were together in pairs, whether it was with his lover, his friend or his brother.

The trip to Cuban Rondo takes about thirty minutes from the city of Batu, the terrain to this tourist spot is relatively easy not too steep. The path to the location of Cuban Rondo is great for many large and shady trees and the distinctive sounds of mountain animals.

Arriving at Cuban Rondo we immediately parked the bike, from the parking lot to the entrance of Cuban Rondo about five minutes so it does not require extra energy to get there.

Dika and I walked together to that location, arriving in front of the Cuban Rondo gate we were greeted with small monkeys who ran towards each other let alone visitors who brought food or plastic bags.

I was so scared, this was my first experience being in the closest distance to the monkeys.

“Mas I was afraid”, reflex my hand was holding Dika's arm and hiding behind his back.

“No papa they don't bother, they just say hello and ask at love eat”

I who was not used to interacting with animals was very frightened made, I still hold my hand even tighter Dika to enter the waterfall.

Entering the waterfall area I was amazed by the beautiful scenery, the water is very clear and the current is very cool once calming. There are a lot of rocks around the river.

“Em until when this hand in the hand hold, the monkey is no”, said mas Dika to me.

I immediately took off my hand at Dika mas.

“Sorry my hand was reflex”, I said to him with a flushed face withstanding embarrassment.

“Often times, you're my sister after a brother protects his sister”.

I don't know why the words of Dika mas who always thought I was my sister felt pain in the chest.

“Yu sit yuk there?”, dika mas pointed to one of the large ones that are in the river flow.

“I'm afraid mas, it looks slippery”

“Dih what’an sih”, I quickly headed to the stone that has been pointed Dika. I walked faster than I did Dika would love to show her that I'm not in mode.

Byur.

“Tau will I say also what wait a minute”, my right foot is floppy and my pants are wet on the right.

“Gini nih if not nurut same brother”, mas Dika still ngomel.

Although in the condition of my bottom pants wet I still proceed to the stone that has been shown. We sat together there looking at the surrounding nature enjoying the peaceful sound of the waterfall. I was still so amazed by the natural beauty of Cuban Rondo that my eyes could not stop to continue to see the right and left of the neighborhood there.

“Yu you know not the origin of Cuban Rondo?”, ask Dika mas to me.

“Ya of course do not know mas”, I said lightly.

“Dih nih males once thought he directly answered so just”

“You heard not the story?”, bargain Dika

“Mau dong”

So the naming of Cuban Rondo began with a story. There used to be a pair of newlyweds who just had their wedding. The woman named Dewi Anjarwati and the man named Baron Kusumo. Dewi Anjarwati comes from Mount Kami while Baron Kusumo comes from Mount Anjasmoro.

“You know not mount Kawi same mountain Anjasmoro?” ask dika.

“No mas, but these two mountain names are like no stranger to me”

They just got married, after the age of marriage reached the age of forty days, Dewi Anjarwati invited her husband to visit Mount Anjasmoro if the term now really wants to ngajak honeymoon. But unfortunately the idea of honeymoon was not sanctioned by parents Dewi Anjarwati.

This is because the age of their marriage has just disappeared, if according to the belief of the Javanese will bring bad luck but the couple still insist on continuing the journey for the honeymoon.

While on their way they are shocked by the arrival of an evil stranger who stands in their way. This foreign figure is known as Joko Lelono. Seeing the beauty of Goddess Anjarwati she wants to snatch from the Baron.

There was a great battle between the two, Baron who was not willing if his wife was captured by Joko Lelono “enak just also married”. The punokawan who accompanied their journey then took away Dewi Anjarwati to hide. Baron Kusumo advised to find a hiding place that there is a waterfall or Javanese people call it cuban.

The battle between Baron and Joko ended with the death of Baron degan so Dewi Anjarwati became jada or Javanese people call it rondo. Thus the hiding place of Goddess Anjarwati is called Cuban Rondo.

I just nod my head, it turns out that Dika understand history as well.

“You see that big rock that feels under that waterfall? The large stone is believed to be the seat of the princess at that time”, dika pointed to one of the stones under the waterfall.

“Mitos is also believed by many people at this time that anyone who brings his partner to coban rondo love relationship will definitely not be long”.

“Oh so because of this myth dika did not invite mbak Eki here?” ask her.

“Ya not so Yu he is busy now, he said he wants to go to salon”

“Why not in friends’i mas?”
