“Paloma?” Sebastian paused when he was about to open the door.
“I close the phone first. Good afternoon, Sebastian.” Paloma ended the conversation without saying anything more.
“What the fuck is this?” Sebastian has his hair. He's still getting in the car. Sebastian did not care, even though Paloma's tone seemed to refuse his arrival. He continued to drive the vehicle, until the white SUV arrived in front of the residence owned by Elazar. Sebastian went downstairs immediately, then met the gatekeeper. He asked the whereabouts of the owner of the two-story building.
“Mr Elazar has left for Granada with two of his guests. He may only be back later in the afternoon,” said the guard.
Sebastian nodded slowly. Disappointed, he got into the vehicle. The handsome rich widower drove his car back to Casa del Castaneda. He went straight to the dining room, where there was still lunch at the table. Sebastian sat down. He was already preparing to start lunch, although the look on his face still looked grim.
Meanwhile, Paloma was already on his way. Like when he left this morning, this afternoon he did not talk much. Paloma looked out the window more, thinking about what would happen in his life some time ahead. He will return to his days in Spain. Just like a few years ago, with a child without a husband.
“So, when do you plan to return to Mexico?” elazar asked after a while they were in silence.
“Lusa,” Rogelio replied. “I've been here too long. Yesterday, I was confused if the police could not solve the accident that killed Rafael quickly. However, now I can breathe a sigh of relief.”
“I am also happy, because they have managed to catch the culprit. Hopefully he is given the appropriate punishment,” reply Elazar responded. “Do Mrs Hernandez need the help of a lawyer? I have acquaintances with some of the most famous lawyers in Spain. If you want, I can contact one of them,” bargain the thirty-three-year-old widower, while looking at Paloma from the reflection of the inner rearview.
Paloma who had been busy looking out the window, immediately set his eyes forward. Just then, he caught Elazar's gaze fixed on him. “I thank you, Mr. Blanco. However, I have hired my own lawyer,” reply the hazel-eyed beautiful woman is ordinary. Paloma did not respond to the kindness offered by Elazar excessively.
“Oh, okay. However, do not hesitate if you need my help in anything. I will give it with pleasure,” said Tatiana's ex-husband.
Paloma smiled knot. However, he did not want to be easily impressed by all the goodness that the man offered. As he had told Rogelio, Paloma would limit himself to the point that he felt confident that it was time to reopen his heart to a man. Currently, he will focus on taking care of Luz Maria as well as the business that will soon be pioneered.
Two hours of travel did not feel long. The black sedan car driven by Elazar, had arrived at the courtyard of Paloma's rented house. The short-haired beautiful woman directly walked out without waiting for someone to open the door for her. Moreover, because he saw Luz Maria who was already welcoming on the terrace with Kalida.
“Mama!” call that one-and-a-half-year-old toddler with a big laugh. He also clapped his hands so happy, because he saw the mother who had returned.
“Ah, My dear.” Tired and tired as Paloma had felt earlier, as if yawning high into the air. Everything disappears when you see the princess's cheerful smile. Just like the old days, when Nilo greeted him when he came home from work.
“You've had a shower, Luz Maria?” asked Rogelio who came near with Elazar.
“Small girl was playing on the side page, sir. The body is very sticky and dirty,” bright Kalida.
“Thank you, Kalida. You are very responsible,” flattered Paloma accompanied by a sincere smile for the woman.
“This is my duty, Madam,” reply Kalida low. “Do you want me to make you a drink?” he looked at Rogelio and Elazar in turn.
“You want to drink something, Mr Elazar?” rogelio.
“Prieve a moment here,” advice Rogelio.
“Um ...” Elazar looked a little hopeful. Perhaps, he wanted Paloma to ask him that. However, it turns out that Luz Maria's mother did not care a bit. “I think I'd better get back soon. You and Mrs Hernandez must also be very tired and want to rest,” said the thirty-three-year-old widower. He glanced back at Paloma who was still acting unconcerned. Paloma was too engrossed in playing around with her daughter.
“Regarding the residence I said earlier, I will give you the next news, Mrs Hernandez,” Elazar said again. He was so anxious for Paloma to turn his head and look at him.
“Yes. I wait,” Paloma replied, looking back for a moment, before turning back to Luz Maria.
Elazar exhaled a short breath. He covered the disappointment present. His hope of being able to stare into Paloma's pair of beautiful eyes was not accomplished. Elazar was still smiling. Moreover, when he said goodbye to Rogelio.
“Thank you very much for your help, Mr. Elazar,” Rogelio said after shaking hands with Tatiana Vidal's ex-husband.
“Don't be too formal, Sir. Just call Elazar, to make it sound more relaxed. Look how I look. Many say that I am not like a businessman,” he said trying to brush off discomfort.
‘Yes, you look very unique. However, what does it mean to look outside if we have a myriad of achievements and brilliant potential. You are still young, but you have managed to achieve a very extraordinary success,” flattered Rogelio while patting Elazar's arm.
“You are too much, Mr. Gallardo,” reply Elazar low. “Good. Then I'll excuse you first,”. “Good afternoon, Mrs Hernandez. Good afternoon, Sweet boy.” Elazar nodded politely to Rogelio, before returning to the vehicle
“Excellent man,” muttered Rogelio who was still standing while continuing to pay attention to Elazar's departure.
“Don't be too quick to judge someone, if you don't know him well,” Paloma reprimands as if he's a subtle insinuation of the father.
“Elazar is indeed a good man,” reply Rogelio stick to his assessment.
.
“That's because you like it, Dad,” Paloma said. She feels uncomfortable, with Rogelio's exaggerated attitude towards Tatiana's ex-husband. “I don't know what's your reason, so you hate Sebastian so much. In fact, he respected my decision when choosing Rafael. She never once harassed our household.”
“You defended the man, because you liked him,” Rogelio said reversing Paloma's words.
“In reality, I know Sebastian better than Elazar,” Paloma reply do not want to lose. If what was faced was not Rogelio, Paloma might have been all-out challenger. “I've lived in Casa del Castaneda for quite some time. I meet with Sebastian every day. There are some thoughts and words that are so attached to my memory.” Paloma smiled crazily. He turned his attention to Luz Maria who looked sleepy.
“Come, Darling. It's time for you to sleep,” take the woman.
Paloma moved in leaving Rogelio still glued to the terrace. The middle-aged man stared at the twilight sky of Granada City. The face of Rafael there. “This is not what I want, Rafael,” he said as he shook his head slowly.
