The Casa Del Castaneda

The Casa Del Castaneda
Swallowed Darkness

Rafael got off the vehicle first, then opened the door for Paloma. He led his wife with affection, until they came before Sebastian. “Good afternoon, Mr. Castaneda,” greet the man.

However, Sebastian did not return the greeting earlier. He instead focused his attention on Paloma, the woman who always looked beautiful both then and now. “Where is your daughter? Was he not invited?” he asked without paying attention to Rafael. Sebastians eyes were sharp as if skinning Paloma. Making this beautiful woman wrong.

“Luz Maria is resting at hotel,” Paloma replied. He hides his face more. Paloma wrapped his hands tightly at Rafael, to relieve his nervousness.

“Please come in,” Sebastian said, after a few moments of silence and unusual awkwardness. Sebastian reached out to the Casa del Castaneda building. He directed the couple, to the workspace that had been wide open. Sebastian seemed to have prepared everything, to welcome the two of them.

“Please sit." Once again, Sebastian reached out. This time, he directed his guests to the nearby sofa. Calmly, the ruler of Casa del Castaneda opened a glass shelf containing dozens of expensive drink bottles.

Sebastian took out one of the most unique shaped bottles. He took three glasses of whisky. The glasses he put on the table. Sebastian, then poured the contents of the bottle equally.

“Please,” he said while lifting a glass that has been held.

Rafael looked doubtful, before finally taking one of the glasses off the table. He turned to Paloma, as if asking for permission. “You drink only. It's okay,” said Paloma, as if understanding what the husband meant.

“You alone, Mrs Hernandez?” ask Sebastian.

“I'm breastfeeding. So, I can't consume anything that contains alcohol. After all, I'm not a drinker" Paloma replied to Sebastian's gaze.

"Ah, yes. I forgot,” said Sebastian while smiling crazily. The destruction of that man's feelings, was clearly drawn on his handsome face. “You look so much prettier than we last met. It seems, you are very happy,” Sebastian said later.

“Rafael treated me like a queen,” Paloma said confidently.

“Outstanding.” Sebastian smiled broadly. “You are indeed a very good woman, Paloma. Your heart is as big as the ocean. You forgive the man who destroyed and nearly killed you. Very funny, because you even have a child from him.”

“Actually what do you mean invite us here, Mr Castaneda?” sela Rafael's. He felt that the atmosphere was becoming increasingly uncomfortable.

“Actually, I have no intention of inviting you. I only have an interest with Paloma. However, given your status as her legal husband, I was forced to accept your presence here,” Sebastian said, without taking his eyes off Paloma's pretty face.

Rafael, responding to Sebastian's unfriendly attitude with a calm smile. He was not at all provoked, although the host's tone sounded outrageous.

“Did you invite me here just to humiliate Rafael?” Paloma who began to lose patience, immediately stood up. His face looked up slightly, as if challenging Sebastian.

“Of course not. My time is too precious if only spent on you," Sebastian sneered with a mocking smile. He walked around the desk, then opened the top drawer. Sebastian took out a stainless box with a gold necklace, decorated with a pendulum bearing the name Sanchez.

“I think I should return this thing to you. Moreover, we already have no relationship." Sebastian showed a cold look, as he handed the necklace to Paloma.

Meanwhile, Paloma actually received the necklace with teary eyes. “Dad,” he said softly while holding the object tightly in the chest.

“I've kept my promise. I don't owe you any more, Paloma,” Sebastian said. "It is precisely you who still have the rest of my debt," he said.

"Goodbye. I pray to God that you never see your face again. For forever.” Sebastian turned around, then sat in his seat of greatness. The owner of the thousands-hectare olive plantation flipped the chair, turning his back to Paloma and Rafael. His eyes were blankly staring at the window of the study.

Raphael understood very well with Sebastian's attitude, as a form of expulsion subtly. He touched the wife's shoulder.

“Come, we're home. Luz Maria must have been waiting,” take her gently. He wrapped his hands around Paloma's shoulders, continuing to lead out of the luxurious building until he arrived near the rental car.

“Sorry,” said Rafael softly, shortly after fitting a seat belt.

“Sorry for what?” Paloma frowned not understanding.

“The decision to live together with me, makes Sebastian hate you,” replied Rafael while staring fixedly at the beautiful face of Paloma.

“Why are you apologizing?” Paloma laughed softly. “Already. Don't think. As long as it's not you or Luz Maria who hates me.”

The latest European manufacturer sedan, starting down the inter-city highway. Paloma and Rafael were both silent. They were both immersed in their own thoughts.

“Paloma,” said Rafael moments later.

The mother of Luz Maria turned her head and noticed the handsome face of the husband, who looked seriously driving. “What's up?” tanyakanya.

“I love you so much, Paloma. You are my true love,” said Rafael with a big smile.

“Gosh. I thought what was.” Paloma laughed amusedly.

“You should always be happy, my dear. Promise always will be,” said Rafael, making Paloma even more astonished. She was about to respond to her husband's strange-sounding remark, when an SUV suddenly came from the side. The vehicle directly hit the car driven by Rafael, at high speed.

Paloma screamed. Fear and surprise mixed into one. Everything happened like a dream. So fast and unaware. Paloma swerved, when the car was moving indeterminate direction and out of the lane. However, there was nothing else he could do. Moreover, because the rental car they were riding in started to roll over several times.

The vehicle even hit a guardrail, which serves to protect road users from steep cliffs with a base full of rocks. Because of the hard impact that occurred, causing the guardrail was broken. Rafael and Paloma's car jumped free from a height. Slipping a few meters, and hit the large rocks until severe shredding.

Between conscious and not. In the condition of the overturned car, Paloma felt Rafael was opening his seat belt. The man also whispered something. “Hurry out, my dear. You have to live and survive.”

“Rafael!” call Paloma. His eyes blurred, as a result of the amount of blood dripping on his face. It disturbs Paloma's vision. "Raffael." Paloma's voice rattled, as she mentioned her husband's name.

When the seatbelt opened, Paloma fell. He grimaced in pain, as he felt all the wounds all over his body. With great difficulty, Paloma crawled out of the car, while continuing to call out Rafael's name.

“Keep walking, My dear. I'm in front of you." The voice of Rafael was so clear in his ears. Making Paloma even more excited to crawl out. The poor woman had to feel around her, considering visibility was already unreliable.

“Rafael! Where are you? I can't see anything!” paloma started to get hysterical.

“I'm here, Honey. Come.” Again, all Paloma heard was Rafael's voice. But I don't know where that guy is.

Paloma is crawling faster. Faintly, he saw a large stone not far in front of him. Paloma forced himself to approach the stone earlier. Once there, the woman sat down leaning back.

However, just now that Paloma was adjusting his breathing rate, there was suddenly the sound of a very powerful explosion. Paloma was so surprised and turned to look at the car. “Yes, God. Luz Maria,”.

With little strength left, Paloma tried to open his eyes wide. Looks like the rental car that was boarded with Rafael earlier, has turned into a giant spark. The dense black smoke soared and moved quickly, as if it was about to swallow a Paloma.

With remnants of strength, Paloma got up and ran. However, what power. The movement of the black smoke was too fast, for Paloma who was weak because it was filled with wounds. That slender body disappeared swallowed tightly.

Eventually, Paloma's consciousness disappeared. Darkness continued to envelop, until he finally reopened his eyes. The first thing he saw at that time was the white ceiling of the room.

Paloma turned to the side, where there was a curtain moving in the wind. His ears suddenly rang, resulting in an excruciating headache. Not only that, the smell of drugs pierced his sense of smell, increasing the suffering.

“Rafael,” call Paloma weak. “You where?”

“Yes, God. My kid. You finally realized too.” Unfortunately, it was not Rafael's voice that was heard by Paloma, but Rogelio.

“Dad?” Paloma withstands dizziness. He turned his eyes to the other side. Rogelio was seen crying, clutching the edge of the bed. “Dad, where is Rafael?” repeated Paloma.

“It's been eleven days you've been unconscious, son,” Rogelio said in tears.

“Where is Rafael?” pressed Paloma with an increasingly weak tone of speech.

“Your husband ... he .. he is already lying quietly near Nilo,” Rogelio replied, which made Paloma again sucked into the darkness much more concentrated than before.
