The Casa Del Castaneda
Mariposita

“Do you really prepare all this?” asked Paloma who was still standing at the dinner table with a look of disbelief.

“Yes, thanks for the internet,” replied Rafael as he chuckled. “Switch, Paloma.” The handsome man with slightly shaggy hair pulled one seat for his wife.

“Gracias (thank you),” said Paloma quietly while sitting gracefully. Paloma's right hand grabbed a spoon and fork, before stopping his movements. He looked back at Rafael with a hateful look. “What are you really planning?” ask the woman full of questions. There was a huge doubt in the tone of the question Paloma was asking.

Rafael returned the sharp gaze with a look full of question marks. “Overnight, I plan to prepare breakfast, so that we can start the day quietly,” replied Rafael astonished.

“Do you put poison in this food?” paloma hatch.

“Gosh.” Rafael clucked slowly. His roar was filled with a disappointed expression, due to Paloma's rudimentary accusation. “Look, let me taste all these foods first so you can be sure that there are no harmful substances in them,” Rafael said.

“Try!” paloma reply. His hazel eyes can not be separated from the movements of Rafael, who is now busy scooping one food after another presented on the table. Paloma is like a detective trying to find evidence of a crime.

At the last mouthful of food, Rafael suddenly dropped the spoon, then held his own neck while glaring. He also acted like someone was choking.

“Gosh!” Paloma frantically looked at Rafael's reddened face. He rushed up and approached Rafael. Paloma was about to pat the man on the back, as the man removed his hand from the neck and laughed out loud.

“What the fuck are you!” paloma's jolt is still influenced by surprise and anxiety. After realizing that Rafael was only pranking himself, the woman hit Rafael's back many times. Feeling unsatisfied, Paloma took off the slippers and smacked them tight enough into Rafael's arm.

“Ouch! Forgiver. I was just kidding. I'm sorry,” pinta Rafael while protecting his head from a Paloma attack. It was hard for the handsome man to hold back his laughter.

“You really are the most annoying human being, Rafael! I don't know if I can last three months with you!” omel Paloma's. He was furious at Rafael's attitude which he thought was very childish. Paloma also decided to go back to the room and cancel her breakfast with her husband.

“Wait, Mi Mariposita (my little butterfly),” prevent Rafael while holding Paloma's wrist. “Really, I'm sorry. I have no other intention than to joke. Don't be like this,” the door is clear.

Hearing Rafael's words, Paloma immediately turned around with a still unfriendly look. “What did you call me?” hisses.

“Mi Mariposita, you were not a small butterfly. However, now it has turned into a very beautiful angel, Paloma,” replied Rafael half seduce. Highlight his eyes gently looked at the woman who was standing while glaring disliked the man's attitude

“Did you know that my father always called me that name?” Paloma faced Rafael entirely, folding his hands to his chest.

“Yes, of course. I still remember the first time when my father introduced me to Mr. Carlos and you,” replied Rafael. A smile fluttered from the lips of the gray-eyed handsome man.

“You used to be very indifferent and cold to me,” Paloma said. He sat back in the chair he was in.

“Yes. I just keep my distance from all the girls. Selena, my lover .. she ... she used to be very jealous,” Rafael said. "She said, I'm too handsome. So for sure many women will fall in love with me," said Rafael accompanied by a big smile. Whether what he said was really Selena's word or not.

“Grattle," cibir Paloma. "His partner, you used to be a loyal man too."

“Yes, that's it. At that time, I could not look in any other direction than Selena, until finally she ...” Rafael could not continue his words.

“I was so late and immersed in feelings of sadness, anger, disappointment, and all other negative emotions. I was so cowardly to blame myself for not having the courage to go against my father's words. I just gave it all to you. That beautiful and innocent little butterfly must feel my grudge for whom.” Rafael's gray eyes began to glaze over.

“No, no, Paloma. Indeed, at first I was very imposing my will on you. I want to change the time I spent with you. However, I finally realized that it will only make you more hurt,” refuted Rafael.

“So let it be for these three months only I will try desperately to make you happy, Paloma. Something I should have done a long time ago. However, what does regret mean if the past can not be replayed into the future,” explained Rafael.

“I learned to love you in our few days together. I know it's too late, but I won't regret it. I'll be everything you want in this remaining time. If you come back to Sebastian later, you'll remember I'm not in a state of hating this man ” said Rafael more and more.

“Ah.” Paloma breathed out slowly. “I'm not sure Sebastian will be waiting for me. Two years is not a short time. She had to wait until I actually got the status of widow from the church.”

“If Sebastian really loves you, then he will keep waiting for whatever it is,” said Rafael full of confidence.

“What if not?”

“That means he doesn't mean it to you,” replied Rafael.

“Then, what do you do after we officially divorce later? Are you going back to Tatiana?” ask Paloma.

Rafael responded with a crisp laugh. “What am I going back to him for? I told you, I no longer want to do anything that goes against my conscience,” he replied later.

“Then, what will you do later?” reset Paloma who seemed to want to finish his curiosity.

“Entahlah. Maybe get out of Mexico and travel the world. I will also try to open a new business pure of sweat and money myself,” Rafael explained lightly.

“Are you going to marry again?” paloma asked, just like a lawyer who scraped information from his client.

“No.” Rafael's tone sounded so certain. “I want you to be my last wife. So, I won't marry anyone if I'm officially parting ways with you.”

A strange feeling was present in the corner of Paloma's heart and tickled his heart. However, the beautiful woman tried to brush him off with a crisp laugh. “Wait until you find someone much prettier, more perfect, and sexier than me or Tatiana Vidal,” Paloma sneer. He then turned his face so as not to meet with Rafael who continued to look at him closely.

“You think it's that easy to shift your feelings to someone else, Paloma? Moreover, what you mentioned earlier is only in terms of physical.” Rafael chuckled softly, then thrusting a plate of Quesadillas Fritas at Paloma. “Eat, before this delicious meal becomes frozen,” his joke.

“Why are you so sure that this food will taste delicious?” Paloma continued to refute Rafael's words.

“You will know the answer after tasting it.” Rafael feeds a spoonful of nearly cold food on Paloma.

At first, Paloma hesitated to open his mouth. However, Rafael seemed to not despair of tapping Paloma's lips using the tip of the spoon. The young lady finally relented and opened her mouth wide.

“Enak,” Paloma hesitate to give an assessment. His white cheeks were met with red, as Rafael looked so happy to hear Paloma praising his cooking.

“Really? Mercifully. Not in vain I copied the tutorial from the internet earlier,” said Rafael while chuckling.

Without the two human children realizing it, a middle-aged man noticed the interaction of the two of them from behind the wall of the divider between the living room and the dining room. The man who was none other than Rogelio, smiled faintly while wiping the clear details that managed to escape from the corner of the eye. He was so moved.
